I played KH2FM for the 1st time, and I know the english version is over a year old, but I just wanted to share some of my thoughts about the game, not the remix.
The extra scenes were not just filler like the 1st game. It actually added something to the game. It also gave Sora an actual reason to fight and hate Xemnas and Xehanort. In the original, it kind of just said, "sora, do this" and this was something that held KH2 back in my opinion. I use to think 1 was just a superior game. Now I think the only thing keeping me from putting 2fm as my favorite game is just simple bias to KH1's emotional appeal.
I also now think it set up BBS nicely. Unfortunately I'm not a huge fan of the execution of the game (not gonna go into details, as I know many people love the game, so it must have done something right), however, it gives me hope for KH3's story, and now Sora has a personal connection to Xehanort. I also lost a bit of luster for days after watching how the organization revealed some secrets in 2fm, but really just went through the motion in days.
Also I think a main part of KH2 disney being irrelevant is having Pete as a Malificients side kick. Pete's too big of a joke, and no one can take him seriously. It made her seem like a joke too. I know disney villains are suppose to be light hearted, but Pete's just, well, Pete. I wouldn't have minded a cameo from him though.
Overall 2fm is epic, and definitely worth playing again as it will give you a refresher because there is an information overload, and it makes you excited for KH3.
