I was thinking the moment Sora become a Keyblade Master he should have an Apprentice. He should be a Silent Protagonist; technically Kingdom Hearts χ already had a Silent Protagonist but that's not what I had in mind. He should have an appearance drawn by Tetsuya Nomura and with the full capabilities of the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One instead of a paper shaped character.

 

Just yesterday I had the idea that the Silent Protagonist can come from our World instead of a Disney or Kingdom Hearts world; I mean why not. What if Kingdom Hearts χ is a prelude game of what having a Silent Protagonist will feel like.

 

Personally I wish for a Silent Protagonist in the Kingdom Hearts Series.

Ehh, I understand your desire for it. But to me, I really don't enjoy silent protagonists. You really don't get a sense of any character development since the character never really speaks whatsoever. Not to mention that the only part of emotion that the character will show will be from facial expressions, which in themselves aren't the best way of conveying a character's emotions, and neither does it compliment character development.

I agree with Recusant, silent protagonists are farirly boring. Don't get me wrong, this comes down to personal opinions, yours isn't worse than mine!

At this point they might as well make Sora a silent protagonist since so far they've been depriving him from any substantial character development that a non-silent character would get in a story like this

 

As for the topic itself:I don't mind silent protagonists but I only prefer them in games where the player is the one making all the decisions and dialogue choices with multiple endings or changing events based on said decisions like how it is in the Shin Megami Tensei franchise

No, Tetsuya Nomua said Sora would be the main protagonist frm KH3-onwards throughout the series.

If there was a silent protagonist, it would make sense that we should be able to make that character. Select features/gender etc etc.

I have nothing against Silent Protaganists in games and they can work really well in some games but it just wouldn't fit the KH series

I'd love to see Sora train someone, it'd be hilarious but that should take place in the next saga. If we were to get a silent protagonist it should be a non canon game.

You have no imagination Roxas, Riku, Terra, Ventus, Aqua, and even Protagonist (Kingdom Hearts χ) are Playable Protagonist. So yes a Silent Protagonist will work and Sora is the Main Protagonist of the Kingdom Hearts Series obviously.

I think I'm one of the few people that actually doesn't mind silent protagonists. It seems a lot of people forget that silent protagonists are silent so we the player can imagine what their personalities are like. Sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn't. While I've seen a lot of awesome non-silent protagonists with interesting personalities, I've still seen quite a few that have so little personality that they might as well be silent *coughTizcough*

Are you purposely ignoring coded, 358/2 Days, Birth By Sleep, Sora isn't even the playable Protagonist in those games (Except for Data-Sora) and Riku is the dual Protagonist of 3D: Dream Drop Distance. I think the 2 of you are wrong just because Sora will still continue be the Main Protagonist after Kingdom Hearts III that doesn't mean there won't be a game that features a new Protagonist that may include a Silent Protagonist.

Dude, take it easy. We are merely repeating what Nomura said himself. Would it be nice to have a silent protagonist? Yes. Will it happen? Most likely not since Sora is the main guy, as confirmed by Nomura. Nomura never said there would be a silent protagonist. That does not make us wrong. If you are calling us wrong, then you are telling Nomura he's wrong too even though he is the mastermind behind the series.

This is what you said. You said we were wrong. Yes, you said nothing about Nomura, but we used his words only and you called us wrong. This isn't about who's wrong and right. We are merely saying what we believe and we cite what we believe mostly from what Nomura has said.
