Rumour has it that Mother 3 is finally coming to the west.

 

It'd be surprising if it didn't at this point especially after Nintendo even went to the effort of bringing Earthbound Beginnings over 26 years after it came out, and because Earthbound was a big success on the Wii U VC.

 

If rumours/reports are to be believed then it is Nintendo of Europe working on the translation, which doesn't surprise me one bit because the folks over in the Treehouse are a joke.

 

This year will be the 10th anniversary of Mother 3's release and the game is already out on the Japanese eShop for Wii U.

 

I know I'm not the only person on here who would very much welcome the release of Mother 3, but for now we continue to wait.

They also released Mother 1/Earthbound Beginnings on the VC, so I'm sure they're working on it.

Honestly the fan translation was so well done it might be my favourite translation of any game ever. I don't see how an official one can be any better. I'm happy it might be coming overseas so more people get the chance to play this amazing game but I'll stick with the fan translated one.

There's no way Mother 3 is not coming in NA and EU at this point,I'm positive its coming out by the end of this year

I've been tricked like this too often to count, so I'm not getting my hopes up too high, but if it's true, I'll be incredibly excited. I just hope that NoA will at least give us NoE's translation if they are the ones making it. Wouldn't be the first time they've decided against giving American audiences an obscure yet fantastic JRPG...

If this is true, and I am not getting my hopes up, then I would be extremely happy with this because then I really could play all the Earthbound/Mother games like I always wanted to since Smash, but I haven't yet because I want to play all the games together.
