It's been part of my childhood and I've loved it ever since. I was a bit young at the time to understand what was going on, but still I loved it. And yes, I grew up with the English Dub. Movies798 1,360 Posted February 24, 2016 Digimon fan here! And I been watching Digimon since the first series on Fox Kids, of course with English dubs. I love Digimon Adventure 1, 02, Tamers, and Frontier. Data Squad not so much but I like Fusion. And right now I love Adventure Tri Movie 1 and I'm so glad that Tai is back as the true leader in the Adventure series! Funny story, my relatives got me the entire Adventure 02 DVD box set in cantonese when I was younger but the music wasn't dubbed so they used the original japanese soundtrack and themes which is what prompted me to start watching the undubbed series/Jap-sub. If you haven't, try and give the other series a go ~ The Jap op themes are really good and you won't regret it: Adventure 01: BUTTERFLY Adventure 02: Target~ red Crash! Sad news I saw recently though, the guy who did the music for the dub (the digi-raps and all that) passed away recently. I always come back to Digimon over the years, and I'm in full swing right now. Watched Savers (Data Squad) recently, loved Adventure tri., currently playing Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth... the works. Back when I saw it on NickToons, when I saw it playing, the episode I watched first was actually the last one of Digimon Adventure (01)! Totally confused at first. Kinda meh, but I felt something important from it. Then, a little later, I watched the First episode of Digimon 02 (not referred to as that on NickToons), and when Davis took the DigiEgg of Courage... And Veemon jumped out... I was filled with joy! I never recalled seeing Veemon before, but that very moment I saw him and what he could do, I was smiling, and I knew that very day that Veemon was gonna be one of my favorite characters of all time! Grew up with the horrible finnish dub, though strangely I never noticed anything wrong with it until I was older. Thankfully it got replaced after the first half of the first season. Sadly I never watched 02 when it aired... Saw the first half but then dub got switched to the original japanese audio and I was somehow very confused about it and stopped watching. Digimon is very special for me. It's funny how every time I watch it, I tend to look at it a bit differently. I just finished rewatching Adventure and Adventure 02, and although I remembered very clearly most things that happened, I had a new perspective on the characters and the themes of the story. Well, it HAS been several years already since I last watched it, so no wonder... Next, I'm gonna watch Tamers. kingdomhearts45 469 Posted February 24, 2016 You know, it amazes me how Digimon has affected our lives in different ways. We all pretty much remember our most memorable moments watching the show. My memorable moment was when Mimi made graves for all the Digimon that got deleted...It's the first scene that comes to mind when I think about Digimon and it just showed how human the Digi-Destined were. I love the series so much...I REALLY want to make Adventure 04!...Too bad I don't work at Toei... That being said, don't expect a Tri dub without censoring Mimi, Sora, and a few others I won't mention due to spoilers. Maybe weapons that Saban thinks is too much for kids, such as sharp blades and axes. Also don't expect the same voice actors to be on set besides the ones who want to reprise their roles. (Tai's VA for example.) Anyways, who's excited for Digimon Tri: Determination? Mine is Gatomon because ever since I was a kid, I just liked the fact that she was a cat. Plus, that cat was very helpful in my Digimon World: Data Squad game.
