Capcom open to more Okami sequels

keep in mind that this post was posted about 5 years ago. Do you think that Okami for wii u, if it even gets confirmed, will be on the wii u or will it be on the next gen consoles like the ps4 or xbox 1

Also, I find this quote VERY interesting:

"Once again, it boils down to demand – how many people want it, what kind of ideas we have that would be fresh and make it worth exploring again, and we could come up with a plan that could fit the users' needs and the market's needs at the time."

YES! OH GOD/DOG YES!!!

Even if it is 5 years ago, it'd be in that 'drought period'.

Hopefully we'll get some news in future

yeah, e3 is the best time for them to announce it hopefully

Okami on the Wii U? I doubt it, considering the NX is supposed to be revealed/released not too far into the future. If anything, I feel they'd release a game on there if at all.

makes sense, but I still think it's fairly possible for them to release the possible new Okami game on the wii u by the time e3 comes around. It isn't too late the wii u to get another title or two and plus nintendo said that they will be making more games on the wii u even when the NX is out I think. If the game does get on the wii u, it will probably get an NX port as well.

another Okami game could also come out on a console besides a Nintendo one. i mean the first Okami game was released on the PS2 and the HD remaster came out on the PS3. goes to show that an Okami game is not impossible to make on a system with no motion or touch controls, at least.

so what you're saying is that Okami for ps4 is more likely then an Okami for wii u?

no i'm saying Okami for PS4 is possible.

it doesn't have to be a Nintendo exclusive.

well the wii u is pretty much dead

nintendo said that they're going to make more games on the wii u so they're not done with it yet because they don't want the people who bought the wii u think that it was a waste of their money

piff... i can guarantee you once the NX gets a release date & price people will start selling their wiiu's and start saving for that instead of buying a wiiu. the only reason for me personally to get a wiiu is for smash and pokken but if they port it to the NX then there goes that.

I would only sell my wii u if the NX has backwards compatibility to my wii u, and virtual console games. Remember that it's completely possible for the possible Okami for wii u to get a port on the NX similar to how the original TP on the gamcube got a wii port. I think capcom will do this for the people who are not willing to sell their wii us just to play the possible Okami for wii u

but many people will buy it on NX for the better graphics if they put it on both, i personally feel the only way nintendo could still keep the wiiu alive(even though it would only work for a small amount of time) is to not port any games from the wiiu to nx, not make it backwards compatible, and have 50% of the new games they are going to release exclusive to wiiu and the other 50% exclusive to nx or have them for the nx and wiiu.(not many fans will be happy about this though)
