I feel like there are many more deserving classical composers who should be ranked above Shimomura. Yes, she's great at what she does but I feel like more than anything she got this ranking because "Oooh composes for a famous video game series" Which just leaves me feeling disappointed.

 

I haven't checked the site due to it's refusal to load, but I assume this isn't for video game composers exclusively.

Yeah there are a few video game tunes in the hall of fame, and I believe Final Fantasy was the top of all video games! These options are purely pieces that have featured in Kingdom Hearts; there are many brilliant tunes in the hall of fame but for obvious reason couldn't fit all 300 in the poll. :D
