The Microsoft Internet E-mail lottery Awards is sponsored by our CEO/Chairman, Bill Gates and a consortium of software promotion companies. The Intel Group, Toshiba, Dell Computers and other International Companies. The Microsoft internet E-mail draw is held periodically and is organized to encourage the use of the Internet and promote computer literacy worldwide. The Microsoft Window lottery has discovered a huge number of double claims due to winners informing close friends relatives and third parties about their winning and also sharing their pin numbers.

As a result of this, these friends try to claim the lottery on behalf of the real winners. The Microsoft lottery has reached a decision from headquarters that any double claim discovered by the Lottery Board will result to the Canceling of that particular winning, making a loss for both the double claimer and the real winner, as it is taken that the real winner was the informer to the double claimer about the lottery. So you are hereby strongly advised once more to keep your winnings strictly confidential until you claim your prize.

Once again on behalf of all our staff,

CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Sincerely,

MICROSOFT DIRECTORATE UNIT

So in short you won 850,000 pounds?

I don't know if its legit or not, so I'm not going to get too excited.

But...if it is legit...I just won over $1,000,000 in U.S dollars

Eh, I'm doubting it :(

Though I'm glad you're not too excited--I'd be bouncing off the walls xD

It's probably fake, though.

You could contact the company and ask to be sure (:

dude if i won that much money id put away 5000 dollars just for KH funds...every game is on a diff console so it is so expensive

I'm honestly not sure...try researching a bit, and see if anyone else has gotten a similar e-mail.

Though that line about not telling anyone until you've actually collected the money sounds sort of sketchy. :/

I just researched it. Turns out.....its a phishing scam. So if anybody gets an email similar to this, DO NOT GIVE AWAY ANY INFORMATION.

It's called a Nigerian scam. I get about 3 of those a day.

Apparently one was from MR.Hillary Clinton lol. There's usually an obvious thing in each scam e-mail that tells you that it's fake

I just got the exact same one yesterday and apparently i'am in 2nd place like you

but the info they ask for doesnt affect u...like wut can they actually do with that info? its not like they asked for ur credit card number or ss number...

Yeah, but they ask for your full name, address, telephone number, and fax number. Would you really want a random stranger to know all of those things?

Bro. If someone has your name and your address....bro. No.

Credit card numbers aren't as important as those two things.

I like the run on sentences.

Identity Theft

so my friend from the next street...i know his name and his adress and his phone number...but i cant do anything to him

If he has a bank account you can.

You're not a stranger who wants to use that info maliciously.
