Pokken Tournament Outsells Street Fighter 5

Featured Replies

I've been interested in the game but I'm not sure because it looks repetitive, is it actually worth it?

street fighter 5 was rushed and is unfinished x D thats not a surprise

*cough* Splatoon *cough*

Street Fighter V may have been lacking in content, but at least it promised new free content instead of paid DLC. Much like what Splatoon did. I could easily say that Splatoon was "rushed & unfinished" both games missed their deadline but make for it with the promise of free content.

indeed it does and for that reason i bought it and still play it now x D it was just a shock to people that a fighting game didn't have "arcade mode" on release

Pretty surprised by this, I feel the hype around Pokken has severely dropped. I know I haven't played my copy in over a month. It's a good game though so I'm happy to see it has done well. They probably won't release new fighters via DLC at this point, but I hope they might consider a sequel in the future.

I'm disappointed in Street Fighter V to be honest. I really wanted to get it and the beta was actually alright, but the lack of single player in comparison to previous games was the reason why I didn't pick it up. Sure it's getting content next month, but it's still not enough imo. I know they said Street Fighter V was only getting one version, so I hope that maybe in a years time the game will have far more content and be hopefully cheaper. I'm in no hurry to pick up the game in its current state.

At least Splatoon had single player content and working multiplayer from day one though :/

Can't argue with that. Arcade is pretty much the basics of all fighting games. To not have one is pretty idiotic, and this is Capcom that king of fighting games.

Oh wow, well that's impressive! :O  Looks like Pokemon wins this round! :D

Indeed it does.

Indeed it does.

And well, it makes sense, since Pokemon is wildly popular, otherwise it wouldn't have reached 20 years of existence, ya know? :3
