May 19, 20169 yr Yes he did, he said that it was because Mickey had no control over where the thing took him and it kept erratically moving him from world to world. Mickey couldn't stay in one spot long enough for Yen Sid to track him. It wasn't until he was stranded in the Keyblade Graveyard Badlands without the shard that Yen Sid could finally get a ping on him. He literally says so to Ventus, I'm honestly surprised you missed that.
May 19, 20169 yr Before, Mickey had been jumping from one world to the next making it difficult for Yen Sid to locate him. Mickey never sat still long enough for Yen Sid to see where he was. When he was able to, Mickey was gone. Kind of like whack-a-mole. When Mickey was hurt by Master Xehanort, he remained in one place and then Yen Sid was able to track him.
