Somehow I missed this theory HMK made for this even though I had been thing this way before he even made it. I don't think I'll be trusting Lea that much in KH3...

Didn't Nomura stated that he gave Lea a keyblade to help save his friends,if he's the 13th vessel he wouldn't be able to save anyone.I guess he could save Roxas and then become a Xehanort later but I doubt it

1- Lea wasn't a suitable vessel to begin with in the org as Axel. He was always plotting against the org and Xemnas knew this. He also did not completely let go of his former self as Lea and let himself build friendships and emotions ( and a heart). Saix/ Isa gave that part of himself up bc he believed there was no point in pretending to have these things anymore. It helped break up their friendship as Axel started to grow a heart. Riku and others can use darkness to fight and not be lost to darkness so Lea is no different in that regard. If he was lost/fallen by darkness he wouldn't be able to use the keyblade like how Riku temporarily lost his when he fell to darkness. But being able to control darkness powers without being consumed by it works for Riku and others.

 

2-In order to become a successful un-voluntary vessel you need to fall to/into darkness as explained in game. You also need to throw away your former self. It's also why Xemnas needed the original org to throw away their identities and hearts and use the "X' names as he explains himself in DDD. Lea even calls himself Lea again and says he's Lea even to the new org. Lea has not fallen to darkness after he revived as Lea.

 

3-He incinerated that heart piece when he blocked it.

 

4.- MX sent Saix/Isa bc he knew they used to be besties and were in cahoots together at one point to overtake the original org. He can control his vessels and MX smiled when Saix/Isa leaped into the air to attack after Xigbar demanded he "do something"

 

5- There is the very foreshadowed dramatic fight between Lea and Isa coming to us in KH3. How can this happen if they are both norts? Also it's been shown (and said by Nomura) over and over Lea is trying to find a way to save his fallen friends.

Plus, I'm still suspicious of why Lea still had a coat on when he became a human again, shouldn't he have had normal clothing on like the others. Also, didn't Riku lose his ability to use the Dark Corridors in KH2 since he didn't belong to darkness anymore? shouldn't that be the same for Lea?

You know, they might have put him in the coat before they did whatever it was that made him lose his heart.

Who knows.  I mean we've only seen a tiny bit of what happened.  But we have seen Evan and Inezo on the ground in their lab coats, along with Braig getting stabbed in his normal outfit.  This tells us that the founding members must have gotten the coats after becoming Nobodies.  They learned that the coats were able to protect them so they were able to put them on Lea and Isa before they lost their hearts.

We don't know who they all are yet but I doubt it will be Lea for all the reasons i listed. Cloaks are also used by Mickey and AtW. They are used to protect themselves from being consumed by darkness in the corridors. Also you revive in what you were wearing when you lost your heart. You also revive in the same location- confirmed by Nomura. They were caught sneaking into the castle once already in BBS..They most likely tried again and got caught when the apprentices were experimenting. The apprentices were looking for more humanoid nobodies and prolly knew they would need the coats after the fact. As for if you lose that power to use the corridors- check out DDD when they all revived and what they saw written on the walls. Remember the keyblade wouldn't have chosen him and manifested if he was consumed by darkness. It's why Riku's went to Sora to begin with in KH1. The ceremony is only one part of how you get one- you must also be chosen by the keyblade.

I guess you two got me there. But if using the Dark Corridors was that simple and you don't have to belong to the darkness then why couldn't Riku use it at the end of KH2?

Nomura logic. Riku was affected by the explosion. He also didn't have the strong enough conviction, hatred, or emotion that was needed. He was originally using Ansem SoD's darkness which he had not mastered control of but from that point on did. Remember how Beast did it? Because of his strong drive and desire. Remember how Ansem the Wise did it? His hatred was so strong he was able to conjure them. Lea's desire to save his friends was strong enough to help him.

Yeah, we make a great team, don't we?Yeah, strong will is really important in the series.
