Hello guys, in this post i'm going to talk about what we can see from kingdom hearts 3 if it ends up at e3 2016

 

keep in mind that just because I put kingdom hearts 3 in the title doesn't mean it's going to show up at e3, now let's get on to it!

 

assuming that kh3 is going to be at e3 this year,  this is what I think they're going to show from the game

 

* disney character models from worlds that have been confirmed to be in the game 

 

* confirm 1-2 new worlds in kh3 and maybe show a few seconds of gameplay footage or and a snapshot of each world confirming its existence 

 

* see some gameplay in Big Hero 6's world and non-disney words, but for the non-disney world, show different places of the same world unlike the previous trailers. 

 

* vaguely explain the connection between kingdom hearts 3 and kingdom hearts 2.8 final chapter prologue (yes, I am expecting this)

 

What is on your minds about kh3's possible appearance at e3 this year?

KHUX was the focused one??? It didn't look like it to me, compare the trailers, KH3's one was a lot longer

it looked like it because it was the only kh game at the time besides kh3 and before 2.8 was announced. I could be wrong though

Honestly, with FF XV and KH 2.8 coming out this year it's not very likely that KH3 will come out this year. Nomura said that he will release 1 KH game per year. So having both KH 2.8 and KH3 come out at the same year would be weird and not very smart, business wise. But it could maybe come out next year or in 2018 along with Final Fantasy VII Remake episodes.

Whoa there never said this year lol no way in hell were gonna see it this year. I said release year. Anyway yeah square are trolls we have no clue how far kh3 is in development only they know. 40 months form 2013 too 2016 September it will take FF15 too come out. Kh3 is sitting at 36 months (then again we dont really know when development began)  FF15 went through development hell kh3 has gone smoothly (besides the engine switch) so we have 2012:DD 2013:1.5 2014:2.5 2015: khx   2016:khx in the west and 2.8 2017 kh3. It all lines up perfect. I believe in square and im sure they got tons of progress since E3 (im willing to bet the kh3 E3 gameplay was a early version anyway)

I'm not as optimistic that we're going to get much info at this year's E3; Square Enix is not having a conference this time around, and I think their priority this year will be 2.8, seeing as how that's coming out in a few months time, and features an all new playable title that they'll most definitely want to show off. I'm just holding out on them revealing a long, story-based trailer, and possibly a gameplay demonstration, at Sony's press conference, but FFXV and VII remake will probably take precedence. Either that, or they'll release a trailer online and talk about it at Square Enix Presents, but I think 2016 is 2.8 and Unchained X's year, and 2017 will be when KH3 can finally have its time in the spotlight. I wouldn't put it past Square to release the first full, story based trailer with the Hikari instrumental at one of the Japanese events instead, like TGS or Jump Festa. 

 

Either way, I'm cautiously optimistic, seeing as KH3 is one of Square's most anticipated games, but everyone assumed that in 2014, and all we got a small teaser and the year was solely promo for 2.5, so I'm a bit nervous, and after what happened at D23 Japan, I don't want to set myself up for disappointment. 

Maybe they may attach a Kingdom Hearts III trailer with the upcoming 2.8 one? that's not out of the realm of possibilities. Hit two birds with one stone as they say.
