So i find it really odd that we still haven't seen the Command deck. Is there a chance that they will completly change it?

I really hope deck commands don't come back. At least not in the same way they were in BbS and 3D.

0.2 will have the Command Menu.

They might not be done yet or like what Zeldablade said.

Square didn't redesign it for BBSFM in 2.5 so no point for 3D to change it in 2.8

DDD still looks early in progress, if you notice, Riku doesn't even hit the Dream Eaters when he attacks in the trailer, so maybe it's the most unfinished out of the 3 games.

Nah, I don't think that the Command Deck system for KH3D will be changed.  The other features, like Reality Shifts and interacting with Dream Eaters, though, will probably go under a redesign to accommodate the PS4 controller's touchpad, ya know? :)

Actually, there is. You see, Kingdom Hearts 2 had a stylistic command menu as a main series game. because this is the only game not to have a main series title, Kingdom Hearts 3D is the only game in the collection that's going to be the staple of the collection (as it's the only full length game). Plus, Kingdom Hearts 3D had only 8 worlds so having a stylistic command menu is not that big of an issue (as the Osaka team are finally familiar with their HD conversions).

dude, that doesn't make any sense & not related.we're talking about BBS and KH3D command deck. Square didn't change it for BBS in 2.5 so why would would they change it for 3D in 2.8? they would literally have to change the combat from the ground up for the game.

I'm talking about the physical appearance, not whether it's a command menu or command deck. KH3D will retain the command deck guaranteed, I'm just theorising that it'll be asthetically stylised like Kingdom Hearts 2 (where every world had a different stylistic command menu).

but why is SE still hiding the command deck then?

but why? they didn't do it for BBS, so no reason to do it for 3D

idk, maybe they're still trying to scale hud because, me personally, found that the spirit party & health were a bit big on the 3DS screen and maybe try to add the third dream eater icon to the hud without having it take up too much of the screen

but why? they didn't do it for BBS, so no reason to do it for 3D

Well what other reason would they not be showing a pre-existing command deck? The only bottom screen 3DS functionality was just the map, Dream Eater switching and diving, besides, you do come to realise that KH3D is the key game in this collection? Sure, 0.2. is new content, but that's the Chain of Memories/Birth by Sleep of the package. Square Enix are treating KH3D as the KH1/KH2 of the 2.8. collection. I'm still banking on the idea of a stylised command deck.

it's not just the command deck that's not there, it's the entire hud. and like i said earlier, maybe they're still trying to scale the hud to fit one screen. you got the health/drop bar, the enemy health bar the 2/3 dream eater icons, map, and the command deck itself and that could be the reason it's not there. that's a lot of stuff to put on one screen and would be way too crowded. they gotta make sure it fits. also, just because KH3D is the first game of the collection, still does not mean the command deck needs to be stylized, it just doesn't.they never changed any of the command menu/deck for any of the other game of the 2 collections, so what makes 3D so special, so different, from the other games that makes it deserves the change? and it would be even more work for SE to make it different for each world.

Square Enix have more than enough time to stylise a command decks appearance. It's nothing drastic as it's a static asset: static asset design's are easy to accomplish. Square Enix cleaned up the BBS portraits in 2.5's version of Birth by Sleep. It wasn't really necessary but they did it anyway. And the reason as to why 3D deserves this special treatment as it's the last game that uses the traditional Kingdom Hearts graphical engine. Square Enix may as well touch it up as little as they can. Sure, it's work but who's to say that they haven't already done that?

the command menu in KH2 and the command styles in BBS aren't static, there's movement going on so they would have to animate the menu. also, they have to clean it up because it's being remastered, they have to. they're not adding anything, it's the same thing but looking nicer. if they didn't clean the game, it would look like the PSP version and wouldn't look as smooth as it does now and that is completely different to add something that was never there. and why does it matter if it's the last one to run on luminous? you'd think if they wanted to have it stylized, they would've put it in since the beginning not in a remaster.

I'm pretty sure the reason the HUD isn't there is because they ARE changing it to some degree.  Like how in DDD you could only see 2 commands in the list at a time, but in BBS you could see 3.  I assume in DDDHD it will be like BBS where you can see up to 3 commands in the list.
