The Weekly Shonen Jump has revealed that Dissidia will finally be getting a sequel. Not much information has been revealed yet, but Lightning from FFXIII and Kain from FFIV have been confirmed to be playable.

 

Nomura has also revealed on Twitter that the game will be playable at TGS this year.

 

I'm so glad Dissdia's finally getting a sequel! I love the original and still play it quite alot now. It would seem to me that this one might incorporate tag team battles judging by Duodecim being in the title, it would certainly seem that the roster of playable characters will be alot bigger in this game compared to the originals.

I hope they add more characters like Auron, Vincent, and Siefer, because they would be awesome to play as.

at least Playstation could make the option for someone to buy a special drive that plugs in to the PS3 and you can play UMDs on the screen.

I'm really hoping for Zack or Tifa to become playable in DD: FF. The addition of Kain seems to hint that they'll be adding one support/other main character from each Final Fantasy game to me, hopefully they do. The only exception would probably would be with FF1 if that was indeed the case.

 

I can't wait to see the first trailer for it at TGS.

you know the thing that connects the PSP to your PS3, does that mean you use your PSP as a controller and the game runs on the PS3?

 

because i have a PSP with a smashed inner screen, which i didn't fix because my warranty was up, but if that works, i could play dissidia (and other psp games)...

Im actually glad its on PSP for two reasons. 1 it wont take as long to make especially if their recycling a few things like with FFX-2 and 2 Dissidia really works well on the PSP platform

Well then i've got great news for you, Tifa's in it. She got confirmed about a week ago at TGS. I don't think Yuffie will make the cut though, she's a rather minor charcter to FFVII's story. Still would be nice to see her included though.
