I honestly don't have an answer to this one, I can't think of anything.

Can't think of anything eh? That's understandable considering how difficult it is to describe just how special a mother is. She gave you life, hope and strength. She's always there for you when you need it. After all my mother has done for me, I just can't thank her. She's helped me so much that there is absolutely no way to show her my gratitude. Plus, a mother should always be respected. In Islam there is a saying from Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). He says:

"Heaven lies under the feet of mothers."

Meaning that respect towards your mother is of the utmost importance in Islam (fathers and everyone else in general of course, but that would be going off-topic xD)

If there is anyone here without a mother, you have my deepest sympathies. If you ever need to talk about it we are all here for you.

Awesome, it's been one month already?  Wow, I'm really happy that these "Food For Thought" topics are so successful!  They're fun threads that provide neat topics to discuss!  Alright then, so this week's topic is about mothers, eh?

Well, like MythrilMagician mentioned, there's never enough words to describe just how much a mother means to someone, but I'll put my thoughts into words as best as I can!

You see, my Mother has always been there for me!  She's been there in good times and bad times, she's corrected me when I've been wrong, and she's tolerated my flaws, and she's always helped me when I needed it the most, ya know?  Heck, if it wasn't for her, I probably would've dropped out of school!  Yes, that's how much my Mom has helped me!

You see, from the moment a mother births a child, its like that mother gains an indestructible instinct of doing everything in their power to ensure their child can have a happy life, ya know?  I mean, not all mothers are like this, but for the ones who are, they go above and beyond the call of duty for their children, ya know? Mothers are always there, they provide moral support, and they always have advice to give from their life experiences!  No matter what happens to you in life, or how people see you, your Mother will always see you as their child, and as such, they'll always love you, even when you're long gone from the face of the earth...that's how deep a mother's love goes!  I can't even state how much I thank God for the Mother I was blessed to have, and I'll always thank God for allowing her to be my Mother! Words and deeds will never be able to thank her enough for everything she's done for me, but I can at least try, by giving her things she was never able to get due to sacrificing her all for me and my siblings, ya know? I'll always be there to help her, just like she's done all her life for me, ya know?

But yeah, mothers are a blessing, they are the foundation of a person's existence!  They birth you, they care for you, they suffer for you, and they understand you, no matter what path you decide to take further down in life, ya know?  That's what a mother is! :)

I was a mama's boy growing up. I remember my mom making a lot of sacrifices to make her kids happy, even if she and my dad had to be in financial debt just to give us a good Christmas. She worked and went to school at the same time, she would make time for cooking us dinner, and she always apprreciated each and every one of us! She may not have always been around, and for the most part, my siblings and I had to raise ourselves, but she loved us enough to make the necessary sacrifices for us in order to put food on the table and a roof over our head. She loved us unconditionally, she encouraged us to do our best, and she even put up with the abuse my father brought upon her just so that she could still be there for us.

I love my mother dearly, and I am still sad for all the crap she had to deal with in the past. But I appreciate all the sacrifices she's made, and it is because of her influence that I could never look at a woman as an object, for there is a divine mother within each of them.

I wouldn't know from experience, I'm 0-2 on mothers. Both of mine were horrible people, to use a more acceptable turn of phrase. But I have seen at least one example of a good mother. This woman goes above and beyond the call of duty for her children. What makes her special is that in spite of the hardships she constantly faces, she has the courage to get up everyday and keep fighting. Providing a shining example thatnot only her children, but anyone can follow. It's an example those kids see, and an example they will inevitably follow, as they too grow to become amazing individuals. More than that it's that mother's unconditional love that makes her truly special. I truthfully I envy those kids and anyone that has that; it's something I've never known. I know my flaws and I know the mistakes I've made. I battle my personal demons everyday. I see an example like that it pushes me forward, to try and become a better person, so one day I can set that same example.
