Charizard is just a an advanced Lizzard with wings.

he could just come back after he mega evolves

This, Charizard can become a dragon through mega evolution so he can join the club if he comes back with a trainer who can Mega Evolve Charizard.

You can still transfer the X Mega Stone over to Pokemon Y, plus in the anime, it is possible to find both X and Y Mega Stones in the world, so there is still a way for him to become dragon through Mega Evolution.

This should be called Lea's rule:

There's always that guy who takes a joke thread seriously lmao

Well if you don't want a joke to make sense, then go right ahead. However, to tell the perfect joke you should try and tell it with logic and fact so that way it is funnier because it is true. So instead of Charizard, it really should have been Gyarados, since Gyarados is also based on a dragon, but never receive the dragon type, not even though Mega Evolution.

I love the exeggutor peaking its head through the window.
