I'm kinda disappointed that it got delayed because it was one of the few games I was anticipating this year. It's weird because I got a email from square earlier about signing up for some rewards for this game and it said the release date was September.

 

The new date puts a damper on my anticipation for the kh 2.8 collection since they're releasing around the same time..I can't cash out for both games and try to play them both, so I'm disappointed

I said exactly the same thing! I wonder too whether this will effect kh's release date at all and I'm not sure which to buy first now tbh. I think I will buy FF and wait for 2.8 as a Xmas day present. Thats my thoughts about it now. Hopefully Square realise there's no need to push the release date of 2.8 back when it's no ones fault on the kh team. But Nomura has said they are on track but has mentioned once or twice its one of the tightest deadlines they've ever had for a KH game. Hopefully this it doesn't affect the game at all.

The delay is confirmed? The release date at my job is still September.

Thanks pal, you're a really nice guy. It will be really interesting to see how everything plays out from here on in. Hopefully nothing else changes after this. In one of the above comments I think I've sorted how I'm going to play them both. I waited and got 2.5 for xmas so hopefully I will for 2.8 too.

Yeah, I hope nothing else changes, and I certainly hope this doesn't affect Kingdom Hearts III in any way! I know the games are handled by different people, but I'm still worried regardless!  But yeah, let's hope for the best! X_X

But you know what's really awful about this new Nov 29th release date though. It's that it was actually shown at the Uncovered event. Y'know when the slot machine release date stopped on Nov 30th (Basically 29th) and then rolled back to Sept 30, now only to revert back. Square is so... sneaky.

Yes! I was thinking that! Isn't that strange! Maybe 30th Nov was the initial release date they had planned but worked really hard so they could announce an earlier release but then they've just realised they couldn't cut it.

Exactly, I could do both but with the original release dates I would have had time to get my anticipation out of the way from playing 15 until I got tired of it and then kh would have been around the corner and I would have had something else to look forward too. Also, Xenoverse 2 is coming out around the same time so that's 3 games awaiting my attention is such a short amount of time

It's also possible XV is trying to distance itself from Persona 5, that could be a thing. Then again speculation is irrelevant as it doesn't change the outcome.

 

But in the end, even if we don't want to play other games alongside it, we're gonna have some great fun with all of them.
