Would you let your kids do whatever they want?

Posted

I know mostly all of us on this site are too young to have kids. But when we grow up most of us are going to want to start a family. But if any of us had kids what would you let them do. What would you not let them do.

Me, I would let my kids do WHATEVER they want!!! Now why would I do that? Simple, it's their life. This world is f**cked up as it is, so might as well let them live their life because you never know what might happen to them. I've grown up in a strict family. I am going to be 17 in a week and my mother won't let me do ANYTHING. She never let me be who I wanted to be and because of that, I'm insane(no, that's not sarcasm that's the truth!). I don't know who I am or who I'm suppose to be. I live in darkness. I am very dark and gothic. My wardrobe is nothing but BLACK BLACK BLACK! I was never allowed to express myself. So, I think that my children can do whatever they want so that they can express themselves in a way that they won't feel shameful. If they want to ride a dirtbike when they're 10 or even only 7yrs old, I will let them do it; I don't care if it's illegal. Telling them no and that they might get hurt won't teach them anything. IF they get hurt, they'll find out the hard way. If they want to dress is sluty clothes, I'll let them. If they want to change their name, I'll let them. You name it, I'll let them do it. It makes them who they are!

Hell no.

Though it's awful to have to have parents that are way too strict, it's even worse to have parents that just don't care. I know from experience.
