Kingdom Hearts 3D appears in Nintendo Dream magazine

The June 2012 issue of Nintendo Dream magazine, which released today on April 21, 2012, has included an article on Kingdom Hearts 3D [Dream Drop Distance]. The article, according to ArikaMiz, is said to contain an interview with the director of the series, Tetsuya Nomura. It also contains an interview with Yoko Shimomura regarding the music of the game and the series, according to the Game Music Garden. Not much is known yet about either interview, and it is unknown if we will receive complete translations, however, thanks to goldpanner, we know that Nomura has expressed some interest in continuing the The World Ends With You franchise in some way.

I've only seen the ending to TWEWY online a couple of years ago....and it didn't really hint at any sequal from what I remember. So if they do decide to do another, would it be with different characters? o3o;;;

It's most likely they would, there's more room to expand the plot if they put it in a new setting, with a new cast. But I'm sure if they wanted they could find a way to bring back the original cast of main characters somehow, considering how popular they've gotten.

no DDD wasn't canon to the plot for the twewy characters, it's probably more similar to the parallel universe after you beat the game.

As far as I can tell nothing in KH takes place after the story, it's during the story that Sora participates in. Anyways, TWEWY's pretty good, you should play it. If there is a sequel I hope it expands on Joshua, he seemed kinda upset in the secret ending.

I want a sequel that explain Joshua's past, how the reaper's game started, everything.

The Reaper's Game started as a way to judge the worth of humans (I guess sort of similar to the Hindu reincarnation belief). What I really am wondering is if the sequel will still be the same location, or shift to another area of Tokyo or even another city in the world.

I don't get people. Never have. Never will.

The game takes place in a specific area of Tokyo. Other areas of Tokyo could be used for the sequel. That might allow the previous characters to make an appearance.

As for another city, It will probably be more like Tokyo than a unique looking city like Venice.

I believe the Reapers Game was for all of Tokyo, and that Tokyo was chosen was because it was an extremely modern city. I read in an interview that Nomura (I think) noted how the characters had cell phones, watched tv, went to school, etc, so it was easier to relate to them. So yeah, a city more like Tokyo if they do a sequel.

I'd love to see them all again! Or really see Joshua's side of the story along with Sho and CAT.

I'd really like to play a sequel for TWEWY and play as Neku but there's little chance the caracters are the same. After all he'd had to die again as long as him friends, so I'm guessing if there's a next game for the series it would consist on different characters.

"Give up on yourself, and you give up on the world" Joshua to Neku, as the first saves him from a fatal blow
