Alex stood on his rider above the water. "Well, let's go." He jumped high in the air, flipped a few times and went into a diving position as he entered the water. Once he was in, his body began glowing. When it faded, he was shirtless, with a sky blue tail to match the colour of his eyes. Alex immediately began flopping around like an idiot, completely not used to this form. "Ooooookay, totally not making a habit out of this." Eventually, Alex steadied himself. The last time he had been here was for his first mission, and the KWU had an underwater base stationed there. Because of that, the transformations weren't needed. That made Alex realize something. He slowly awkwardly swam to Marina, grabbing a hold of her hands. Half as a symbol of wanting to be close to her, half to steady himself. "You know, I just remembered something." His fingers grazed over her gloves. Alex knew they bothered her to this day, so he tried to take her mind off of them. We'll get them off, don't worry. "Atlantica is technically where we first met."

Alex turned as the panda was latched on to the back of his sweater. The weight caused him to fall to the ground, and when he looked up, he saw a sea of black and white little furballs heading towards him. They all climbed over him, licking and rolling. Alex's arm shot out of the pile of panda's, a muffled scream inside of it. "Help! Assist! I'm under attack! Seas of cuteness are overwhelming me!" Under all the pandas, Alex could hear the sound of Marina's hysterical laughter. Finally, the mother panda came over and gave a small grunt, probably telling the pandas to stop hanging around Alex. They stopped their "assault," and went back to their mother. Alex got off the ground, his hair messy and bedraggled. "...what just happened?" He turned to see Marina still laughing her head off. He shook his head, smiling. He couldn't help but feel happy when he saw her being so happy herself. "Yeah yeah, laugh it up, Marina. So, should we be heading to Atlantica soon?"

That moment where my mom's alcoholic ex boyfriend might be coming for my mom and I.

Alex kneeled down and pet a baby panda bear, grabbing some bamboo from the stand nearby. He gave the bear some, and it gave a satisfied growl, rolling over on its back to be scratched. Alex then began scratching its belly. "You know, it's a good thing your mom isn't here to see this, because if she were, I'd probably be missing an arm at this point." Alex stood up, going over to Marina as she was rather obsessed with the adorable bundles of black and white fur. There were at least 4 or 5 gathered around her, sniffing her and waiting to be petted by her. "Looks like someone's popular with the panda crowd."

In which I learn my life could be in danger.

Alex held the list with both of his hands, one of his eyebrows raised. If there was one thing he had yet to get used to in living with Marina, it's that she was never at a loss for things to do in order to pass the time. He looked up from the list to his girlfriend. "You certainly don't like to waste time, do you?" Marina crossed her arms and gave a playful smirk. Alex folded the list back up and tossed it to Marina, who caught it in return. Alex took a few steps to the closet, and opened the door, pulling out his favourite, trademark, black, zip up sweater. He tossed it in the air, and as it came down, threw his arms into the sleeves, and zipped it up. He walked back to Marina. "I think I can work a little bit of day seizing into my schedule." The distance between them closed, and their lips met once again.This RP has started off way too smoothly, but hey, I am definitely not complaining. Alex and Marina parted lips, and they walked towards the door. "So, shall we?" The two walked out, hand in hand.

Alex thought back to all those events that day. Nightmare, a Tyranny experiment, had all but brought Alex to the brink of being completely broken in every way. When Nightmare, for the final part of his plan, brought Marina to where he was being held and began to gradually overpower her, to the point of torturing the life out of her, Alex finally let go of everything that had tormented him in the past and cut down Nightmare for good. That same day, the Tyranny fell. And minutes after Nightmare fell, was Alex and Marina's first kiss. And despite the horrors he had gone through, that was the happiest moment of his life. "Happy 5th anniversary, Marina... I love you," Alex said, his hands sliding down her body and then holding her hands. Her hands that were still obstructed with those gloves, the ones powered by the crystals. The ones that refused to let go of her body. One day, we're getting those off. And we're holding hands for real. Alex's eyes moved to the side a bit, and he looked back at Marina, smiling. "Just a sec." He then turned and walked toward the nearby window, opening it. With a smile, he called out, "Enjoy the show?! I know that giggle anywhere, shouldn't you be going somewhere?!" In the distance, he heard Lambda squeal and she grabbed Casshern's hand, running away while laughing. Alex shut the window, shaking his head with his eyes closed and a smile on his face. He looked back at Marina. "So, what's the itinerary for today?"

Alex ran a hand through his short, dark blonde hair. Dude, you've been with her for 4 RPs now, and you've been a couple for 1 RP and 5 years. How the heck are you still nervous around her? Of course she's going to like it... but what if she doesn't? Or what if she doesn't remember that today's our 5 year anniversary of getting together? Or what if I got the date wrong? I need to calm down, sheesh. "Just figured that since we're alone, so Lambda doesn't have to watch me get all mushy and stuff, I'd give you something." Alex reached into his pocket. He opened his hand, revealing two, gold lockets in his hand, each with a gold chain strapped to them. He took one and wrapped it around his neck. With the other, he put it in Marina's hand, and clicked a small button on the side. The locket flipped open, and inside there was a picture of Marina, Alex, and Lambda. Alex had a nervous smile. "So... is it okay?"

Alex crossed his arms, turning to Casshern. "Nah, actually, working on a project... actually a gift." He scratched the back of his neck. "5 years ago today, was the day Marina and I... we first became... together." I just hope she likes it... Alex then turned as Marina and Lambda came in, Lambda in her uniform. He kneeled down as he rubbed her hair. "Lambda, I don't know how it's possible, but you somehow look more amazing than you usually do." Lambda smiled and giggled, and Alex hugged her, Lambda holding him back tightly. He got up. "Now, we better get you to that presentation. Can't have everyone missing out on seeing the cutest and smartest girl on the planet giving her presentation, can we?" Lambda was still smiling, and nodded quickly. Alex then turned to Marina. "Hey, you think we can talk after she's all ready?"

Alex looked down to see Marina's hand curl around his gently. She likes me back? He then felt Marina's body slightly shuffle towards his, and he suddenly felt her head resting against his shoulder. She likes me back... She didn't say much. All she said was "Si, yes," with a nod of her head. Alex didn't need to hear any more. Still looking at their hands, Alex began to smile. His grip slightly tightened against her's, though it was still gentle. Alex turned to look back ahead again, smiling. He didn't say anything; there was nothing he needed to say. Despite everything he was going through right now, he was happy. Extremely happy.Alex simply sat there with her, holding her hand and letting her head rest against his shoulder. . . . "But hey, of course I had to come back. I do recall making a promise to a certain someone... that I would be by her side when this battle came to an end." Alex stood there, looking at Marina for a few seconds.Screw it.Alex wrapped his arms around Marina and kissed her. . . . 5 years, huh? I wonder if she remembers today's the day... Alex was in his room, working on something. He worked tirelessly with a screwdriver, finishing his secret project. He held the final result in his hand, smiling at how it had turned out. Not too shabby. Almost as good with a screwdriver as I am with a Keyblade. He then heard a swarm of footsteps coming nearby. The storm of giggles growing louder and louder helped him figure out that Lambda and Marina were in yet another chase. Alex quickly put his little project into his pocket, and stood by the entrance to his door. As the footsteps grew louder and louder, Alex quickly opened the door, and blocked Lambda. She stopped and gave an excited scream, and as she turned, Marina stood behind her, effectively trapping the girl. "Need an assist, Marina?"

So I kind of just had a breakdown.

Mom's having a complete nervous breakdown. That's nice.

That moment when your mom has a complete meltdown and she's crying into your lap for 3+ hours. So that's always nice.

I wish this weekend never happened... the sadness just won't leave me alone, no matter how badly I want it to.

Name: Alex Roberts Gender: Male Age: 29 Keyblade: Hero's Crest Physical Description: Alex has a slim build compared to other men his age. He has short, dark blonde hair and sky blue eyes. Alex's signature outfit is a black, zipped-up hooded sweater, with a white t-shirt underneath, blue jeans, and sneakers. At one point he wore a locket with a picture of his dead mother inside of it. Though he has long since given that up, he has recently made a new locket from scratch, this one with a picture of him and Marina in it. Personality: Alex, despite the considerably tragic and traumatic events in his life, is generally an upbeat, cheerful guy, always ready to crack a joke or insult a man who would have no second thoughts about killing him. His generally laid back nature would normally turn others off, but Alex is far from uncaring, having demonstrated time and time again his willingness to put his life on the line to protect others. Considering how much he has gone though, Alex has matured considerably. Though he's still, at heart, the lighthearted teenager he once was, he knows when to put the jokes aside and when to be professional. Alex also abides by a strict "no killing," code, and has to this day, never crossed that line. Alex also appears to be aware that he is an RP character and frequently draws attention to this fact. This is usually confusing to people who don't know him. Bio: Alex's whole life can be defined by one word: war. At the age of 4, in the middle of a civil war between the worlds' government, the WPA, and the Keyblade wielders, the KWU, Alex's mother was butchered in a raid in Twilight Town. At the age of 14, Alex joined the war with the KWU, meeting Marina Rocecrant, his first true friend. The two of them then discovered that the KWU was, in fact, corrupted by their supposed leader Stahl, and the two friends abandoned the KWU, forming their own Resistance. Their goal: to stop the fighting, whatever it took. They were soon joined by Quentin, a WPA soldier, and Jacobs, a WPA general who turned out to be Alex's father, who abandoned him and his mother shortly before the raid that killed her. After a climactic battle at Disney Castle, the WPA was crushed by the KWU, and the Resistance went into hiding. 5 years later, the Resistance rose again, waging a war against the KWU to give the people freedom. The 19 year old Alex played a prominent role in these events. Alex had to struggle with being reunited with his father, and the hatred he still harboured for abandoning him. In addition, after an assassination attempt gone wrong, Alex was indirectly responsible for the death of Kazaac, a close friend of Quentin. And on top of this, a deadly plague spread through Twilight Town, and Marina was infected with it. Alex, despite his world crumbling around him, rose to the occasion and not only helped find a cure for Marina, but took part in the final battle against Stahl and the true leader of the KWU: Sora. After the two had fallen, Alex left the Resistance, hoping to restore Keyblade wielders to what they used to be: guardians of light. Marina then came to him sometime after, informing him that a new government, the Tyranny, was rising, and were shaping up to be worse than the KWU. Alex reunited with his friends and took part in a mission to take the government down, but it was a total failure, resulting in the deaths of Quentin and Jacobs, as well as the imprisonment and torture of Alex, Marina, and fellow Resistance member and former lover of Quentin, Leslie. After several years of daily torture, Alex, now 24, broke out of the prison, aided by other Resistance members, and helped to free Marina and Leslie. Once they had escaped, the war was back on. In this time, Alex had to struggle with taking care of a young girl named Lambda, who turned out to be an android designed for war, the fact that he was developing romantic feelings for life long best friend Marina, and Nightmare, a Tyranny experiment who was slowly breaking down Alex's heart, mind, and body. Alex was pushed to his physical, mental, and emotional breaking points, but against all odds, broke free of Nightmare's hold and destroyed the being, indirectly leading to the crippling of the Tyranny's forces. Alex rejoined the Resistance with Marina, who was now his girlfriend, and took part in the final missions to bring the Tyranny down, for good. With the war finally over, Alex could finally have a chance at a normal life, with Marina at his side. However, Alex couldn't shake the feeling that things weren't over. Not yet. Everything has to go wrong at once, doesn't it?

The reason why someone would make it a thread and not a status? Because it's something they want to share with the community, the reason why threads exist. They are something that people want to share, to get out there. But while the phrasing and enforcement was a bit of an issue, that's not what has me going "no." It's the rule itself. This isn't going to lead to the Random forum becoming more accessible, it's just going to lead to the Random forum becoming less active, it will prevent members from making jokes at other members to pass the time during dry spells, and inevitably, members will leave because they feel restricted. Look, I'm not saying that I want newer members to be left out, of course I don't. I want them to be able to join the community and to play a part in it. But restricting what members can say on the Random forum is not the way to do this. The point is, it is the forum where you should be able to say what you want (unless it's offensive towards others, of course). With this rule, it's the forum where you are able to say only what is accessible to as many people as possible. I know the reasoning behind it is that the Random forum is filled to the brim with these kind of threads and the staff wants it to be accessible to everyone. But the fact that the Random forum has so many of these threads, is also the reason why this rule isn't the ideal solution. So many people take part in doing those, and so many people enjoy doing them, and by saying, "No, you can't anymore," this will be upsetting a lot of people. And while rephrasing the rule will help, the fact is, restricting what people can say in Random in any way goes against the point of the Random forum. Of course I want the newer members to be a part of the community, and sure, action can be taken to give them a comfortable experience. But this solution doesn't make KH13 a comfortable, accessible site for everyone. Just the new members, while people who want to do threads like this (which is undoubtably the older community) just have to accept this. And that's not the best solution. Should something be done to make the site accessible for everyone? Yes, absolutely. But there has to be a solution other than this. Restricting what people can say in a "say what you want," forum is never the best solution.

You know, even when things are changing on the site, I can always count on you to make me go, "What?"

In which shit goes down.

Alex had his hands in his pockets, watching the Marina he knew and loved finally back to being herself. He smiled as she went back into her room. Alex strolled leisurely to his own room, deciding not to take part in the enormous buffet. He jumped onto his bed and lied down, extending his hand up above him and drawing his Keyblade in it. For over a decade now, I've been part of fight after fight after fight... hasn't been easy, but it looks like it's finally ending. He dismissed the weapon and rested his hands behind his head. The Tyranny was dead. All that remained was to figure out how the hell to get those gloves off of Marina, and they were set for life. They could stop fighting. The people were free of this Tyranny, so the Resistance wasn't needed anymore. They could put down their weapons, Alex and Marina could find somewhere to settle down, take care of Lambda. Hell, maybe even start their own family one day, but as of now, he just knew that he wanted her at his side for whatever the future held. He and his friends had defeated the Tyranny, there was finally peace. Alex's smile faded slightly. So why do I feel like this RP series isn't over yet?

This seems familiar somehow.
