  1. I think all of them would work except finding nemo, cars, and Ratatouille, I mean, I don't think their is even a true villain in any of those. The chef is kinda the "villain" but not really in the sense that kh villains are. And cars, even worse in that regards, (can't say about cars 2) and how would Sora even battle the heartless. Toy Story, Monsters inc, and Up on the other hand I think could offer so much more.
  2. You mean like a playable scenario or just revealed in some way shape or form? I feel like bbsv2 will already be so full of things needed to tie together the series that Vanitas wouldn't be the best thing to invest in. I think enough of this could be conveyed in a role similar to the Riku replica where he pops up all over the place being his usual evil self with the foreshadowing and eventual coming of an ending where we see what he truly wanted. Of course, this would be in whatever form he does return.
  3. Summaries often are fan made... and what is being summarized is often official.
  4. A lot of this makes sense in terms of what the darkness is. Darkness just wants light, but when it comes to getting the light all it wants is to destroy it. This is an interesting idea. The delicate thing is that for Vanitas to be saved he should at least be able to understand friendship and have attributes that you need light to do such as laugh and other stuff, but he still needs to be "Vanitas," that heartless dark being. Vanitas is doomed to etternal suffering as the dark hearted being; he will always be jealous of Ventus and his friends, and never be able to have them; he will always be a callous shell from this torment and never be that on the inside. In other words: by deffinition of what he is, he can't be anything more. If some form of him does return in a future instalment and this idea is explored of his suffering, I think his ultimate ending could be to return to Ventus and much like Roxas going back to Sora (and having a snse of fulfiment from Sokai and Roxime, wrong I know) Vanitas could finally experience friendship that he was yearning all that time. I heard that the novels are to be taken as cannon unless otherwise contradicted and I also heard that the kh2 novels revealed things that were used in fm and nomura interviews. Aside from that I would expect Vanitas to return regardless.
  5. With kh3d and kh3 being main games I would think bbsv2 wouldn't, and I don't think they would move to a next gen console with a side game. The purpose of bbsv2 is supposed to catch players up and putting it on a new system would defeat that purpose.
  6. Actually it was a randomly appearing dark corridor in Traverse Town, but that is still a way to enter and leave the dark realm. Mickey also spoke to Sora in the same way he spoke to Riku so I'm curious how they'll implement Mickey's guidence. In Riku's D-report it says Mickey arrived at castle oblivion from a dark corridor constructed by org. xiii, but Mickey also said he found a card and that's what lead him there so maybe its some combination of both.
  7. woke up had waffles with an abnormal amount of syrup on them without a banana, then looked online for new running shoes then went running with my sister. When I go back I stretched and had lunch which was a quesadilla and I had a spinach eating contest with my sister, we both quit on an agreement of neutrality. Then I iced my legs while watching one of my moms FBI shows with my sister for the lack of anything better to do at that time. I was going to go golfing, but decided not to so I practiced chipping down the hallway a bit and now here I am. Also during random intervals throughout the day I would check recoded for new balloons and then do the scratch cards. I still have to do my sit ups because lunch was ready before I had time to, but I'll most likely end up doing them right before I was planning on going to bed, but then stay up a bit later and do something kh related.
  8. I think I'll just stick to what I read in the interviews haha, and yes you do sound like an ansem's reports writer. Funny I was thinking about all of Sora's connections being like kingdom hearts is and with the dtd being kingdom hearts and all. As much as it makes sense on the mythological side, I think the notion of it being kh with kh being the true light, and the true light within Sora being brought out by Kairi's letter is a bit more appealing to think about as it keeps Sora more "normal" Right before the final battle Ansem said "behold the endless abyss, within lies the heart of all worlds. Kingdom hearts!" *camera looks at dtd*. Aside from this when the dtd is closed and dissapears so does end of the world.
  9. I get the feeling a lot of people don't know exactly what it is as it never was explicitly stated in the game, and even the door to darkness wasn't explained the best. The door to darkness is the door that allows darkness and beings of darkness to come and go from the realm of darkness and the realm of light. The door to darkness is also something along the lines of a form of kingdom hearts. In contrast the door to light is the door that allows light and beings of light to enter and leave the realm of darkness and light. Back in the kh1 ultimania I believe nomura said this: ---If that is so, the reason why those two are on the other side of a door they cannot pass... Riku went to the other side once he combined with Ansem. Since the King is there as well, does that mean there is another place where you can enter into the world of darkness without using that door? Nomura: Yes. The last words he left behind were “find the door to light”. In other words, he was saying find the door, other than the door that allows darkness to come and go, that allows light to come and go. -Source: http://kh-ultimania....l.com/3508.html (by the way has anyone seen this interview before?) So the door that Ventus opened to the destroyed land of departure was not the door to light as I've heard been confused, and the door to light is not confirmed to be connected to "home." When Sora asks Riku what he thinks the door to the light was Riku pointed at his heart (keep in mind that was such a cheesy, yet satisfying scene there's no way he could be wrong). I personally like this scene as it leaves the answer open to your imagination, and I'll keep my opinion to myself.
  10. I meant after he stabbed himself with keyblade. For the last bit of kh1 and for all of com Sora was a walking heart. His "body" was similar in nature to a heartless who we don't see as a heart just going around attacking people.
  11. No, I think Roxas should be with Namine as much as Sora is with Kairi, leaving Xion and Axel to be his best friends.
  12. Sora was just a heart until Roxas was brought in by Riku, and he could use the keyblade.
  13. and i quote: I don't care what you think (in this case your original post) Its not at all interesting listening to an obviously wrong feeling another person has. The point of that post is that you could be saying stuff a lot more constructively. Aside from what mog pointed out I don't think we'll be getting an answer from nomura or a game anytime soon if ever, but I'm fine with speculation.
  14. A better way to put it would be "not a main game," but the fact remains that kingdom hearts isn't as big of an issue in... in... is there even a word for what I'm looking for... I'm starting to think that a side game is the right term for not a main game.
  15. That is the most simple way to explain it but its actually more along the lines of there are just as many keyblades to wield (e.g. dual wielding as there are qualified hearts). This also explains how Roxas could dual wield; besides using his own, he used Sora's. If Ansem sod's heart was qualified to wield the keyblade Xemnas would have been able to use it, but as we've seen he never used it or could. But say if this was because ansem sod merely forgot (recall nomura saying how the memories were split would be important) and thats why he couldn't wield, Xemnas might have been able to borrow that hearts power and wield. Just throwing some stuff out there.
  16. *looks up interview to explain it better* whoops, it looks like it can kinda go both ways interview with the explanation underlined So Roxas in a sense already existed inside the data, but it was also the hurt/memories that namine added that let him recall that unrecorded "summer vacation."
  17. No, the extra data added were the memories or you could say the hurt that became the source of the bugs. Because Roxas always did exist inside Sora, he appeared to try to show Sora hurt. In other words Roxas acted on his own. Also this data roxas body and ven's heart inside it having memories of something it within its recorded data self never remembered shows the connection between data and the real thing.
  18. Concerning its role in bbs you mixed up a couple of things. Mx wanted the x-blade to form kingdom hearts and restore the state of the worlds in which the keyblade war began (not scattered) so that kingdom hearts as you said can "lure keyblade wielders to it", or something along those lines. Also I am pretty sure MX wasn't planning on using any of the bodies from the war, and it was just to sate his sick curiosity (and become all powerfull etc. etc.).
  19. Why even say that when it is so incredibly obvious that its not Xion revived. Cause I don't care what you think and posts like this really ruin the fun with guessing! Its not even funny like "oh its obviously pluto!" And there is a lot to guess with from what we've seen of him, and it may not have not occurred to you but you don't have to say weather he is this person or that you can just say something insightful that you noticed about him, or agree or disagree about something someone else said. Btw, this isn't directed at you specifically, and no offense, I just want a bit more of an actual intelligent plain discussion. /rant
  20. Since a negative amount of years from now. But in all seriousness we do have things hinting towards her being a nobody made out of litteraly nothing that qualified to be a nobody by Sora's heartless. In other words she used the same heartless that Roxas used (for the lack of a better word) to become a nobody, because each nobody needs a corresponding heartless. If the mysterious figure did in fact come into existence the same way as namine then a heart from aprentice xehanort before becoming a heartless returned somewhere and the mysterious figure used ansem sod to meet the requirements to become a nobody. Unless a different heartless altogether was formed and the mysterious figure is its corresponding nobody. Either ways it doesn't explain his time power at all, so I'm not buying it.
  21. They still could have had him vaguely allude to Ven in the secret reports, but they didn't, and it ended up being the worst post game secrets to unlock to date.
  22. You do know that all those scenes originated inside Riku's mind right? So Riku must have been there either watching, or being responsible for the corridor, or luring pluto inside the corridor such as how he was responsible in kh2. Way back when I recall this being discussed and someone pointed out that Pluto might have jumped through the cod after Riku who he mistook for Mickey due to Mickey's presence being inside Riku (or however you wish to describe Mickey and Riku's relationship in kh1)... or maybe Pluto just likes jumping into corridors of darkness. Maybe Riku was lonely and called to pluto to keep him company, whatever: Just don't go trying to explain it without Riku in it because at this point that's the only sure thing we know.
  23. I guess my biggest problem with Aqua's voice in that is that its not what I'm used to, but Vanitas... he just sounds like a cliche psychopath mad scientist, and so he really doesn't seem like that believable of a character to me.
  24. ehhh, no, Days didn't need xion for any of those reasons you gave. I don't think you meant to say she filled the role as the main villain for obvious reason so I'll skip refuting that, but Riku in fact easily could have fit the bill of the game's final boss. Instead, to give xion and importance, they made her the final boss and Riku more so the final battle. As for the everything in the game having to connect back to Sora, Roxas and his dreams easily fit this bill as well. Also for the same purpose, as scenes such as Riku rescues Xion, Riku could have discretely hinted towards Sora multiple times in the game. Remember: its not just the current version of days without xion, it is as if the game was made without xion. I'll give you that. Xion has ultimately been forced (for the lack of better word) within the kh series, having little reason to be made at first, and all the reason to be made due to the future of the series giving reason to something that was never meant to be. Despite this in the broad spectrum of things I do think she completely succeeded in winning our emotion that would be one of the things that would make days a good game. Weather or not days would have been a better game or not with xion is a matter of speculation, but they still could have done more to the xion included game we have now. @bold: see my reasons at my first response. I by no means think I can do better, but I know that they can do better, and for the lack of anything better to discuss this has become what many people critizize.
