Vaan exclaimed "Hope! Wait up!" As he disappeared into the dark portal. He heard a voice behind that called out, "Have the Fates willed this?" It was Gabranth! Vaan pulled out his greatsword and said "If you mean your defeat than yeah!" Vaan was about to charge forward but Hope was on the other side of that portal! What if he was in danger. Vaan had to go and see. He spun around and began to run when he heard Gabranth.sigh and say, "You won't fight yet? I won't fight you unless you full strength anyways." Gabranth sheathed his weapon and walked away. "Well that was interesting......" And with that Vaan jumped into the portal to find Hope. He emerged at Orphan's Cradle and saw most Cosmos's warriors. He recognized a bunch of his fellow warriors: Lightning, Johnny, Balthier, and Hope. "Why weren't we invited to this party?" Vaan teased to Lightning as his eyes were on Hope who was ready for combat even though he couldn't see an enemy.

OoC: Whew...i missed a lot! Sorry oblivion for leaving Hope stuck! I don't to post much cause I'm on a road trip and using my phone so if I don't post for a while and the rp isnt flowing, I give OblivionRider complete but temporary control over Vaan. Vaan heard a loud thump a couple yards from him and proceeded to jump up and run over to where the noise sounded from and found Hope on the ground with the moogle he summoned on top of him. "Ummm that's not a shop keeper moogle but that's okay......" Vaan pat the moogle on it's back and dismissed it. He got down on his knees and waited for Hope to get up. When he did get up Vaan just started at him with an unamused look on his face. Hope sighed and was about to speak but then he froze and looked scared. Vaan looked at him with deep concern. "Are you okay?"

Vaan stood back shocked after nearly being decimated to ash. "What the hell was that?" Was Hope out of his mind? Or was he just conflicted? Either way Vaan knew he had to go help him. But he was no white mage, he had to find that moogle! Vaan ran back towards the lake looking for the moogle but after five minutes realized it must have gone into hiding during all the fighting. "Now if I was a moogle where would I go?.....they are rather curious but mabye he could use a moogle to track down another!" He reached into his pocket and pulled out a small red stone. A faint light was eminating from it as Vaan called out, "Moogle, I call upon your aid in a time of great need. Please guide me!" He threw it down and in a flash the moogle sealed within burst free. "Kupo? You called?" The moogle flew around and finally said " I'll go look around for that shop moogle and come back with it!" It flew off in Hope's direction as Vaan sat down and began to ponder Hope's motives for attacking him and then having a change of heart....

(OoC: sorry I fell asleep!) ......jumped between them with his sword out, impaling the Manikin that was about to strike Hope down. But as Vaan turned around to check if Hope was okay he found a Manikin of somebody from his home world marching towards them. A Warrior of Antiquity. "Gabranth is here? Thats not good....Hope you okay?? He looked down at Hope to see blood running down his face. They probably couldn't handle him in their current weakened states. "Come on you'll be okay!" Vaan reached out and grabbed his hand and pulled him up to his feet. They tried to run but Hope fell down and Vaan exclaimed "Crap, Hope please get up!" The Manikin drew near and Vaan pulled out an Altair gun and shot out desperate to buy them more time. Hope was about to say something when Vaan jumped forward and threw down a bandage for Hope. "Be right back, I have some trash to take out"

"Hope! Wait up your going to get hurt if you run in blindly...." Vaan took flight and ran away from his friends to go save his new ally. He looked back to see Light and Johnny surrounded by Manikins. He froze as he recalled the five fallen friends of the next to last war. And he was honestly fearful for them because of what happened to them. But on the other hand Hope had placed his trust on Vaan that they could protect each other. On an impulse he dashed towards Hope as he muttered, "You better pull through Light!" But now he had to focus on him and Hope. Hope still had a head start but a line of Manikins blocked his path. Vaan jumped up and pulled out his crossbow and cleared the way as shards of Manikin flew. "Wait Hope! We are a team now!"

(Many thanks oblivion!) At Lightning's words Vaan shook his head and cleared his throat getting their attention. He then put his arms up over his head and entered his thinking pose. Hope gave him a crazy look but Light and Johnny stared intently at him. He was thinking hard and blankly suggested "But mabye on the way we can peek in the Emphyreal Paradox, mabye something important is in there like with the Manikin Rift? I bet Lightning doesn't strike twice though..." "Thats it!" Vaan swung his arms down and clapped his hands, "We should journey together up until Planet's Core and then split up into two groups Light and Johnny and then me and Hope! Any objections?"

(OoC Does this stand for out of context? Also everyone has a villian except me G_G Who could I take to oppose a warrior of Cosmos?) Vaan began to cough and slowly rolled to the side so his rescuers wouldn't see him lightly vommit to get the lake water out of his system. When he rolled back over he saw two unfamiliar faces and Lighting! "Light?!" He jumped up and grabbed her by the hand. "I've missed you so much! But why are here I thought that after that Manikin Rift buisness we were goners and couldn't return again." He shrugged and backed away and turned towards the Sanctuary and pointed as he said, "I was heading to the Sanctuary to ask Cosmos why we were here but did you guys just come from there?"

Vaan kept running until he found himself cornered by the crystalline manikins. He fought them all the while running across World B making his way to Cosmos' tower in the Sanctuary. He stopped to take a breather when a Warrior of Antiquity manikin jumped towards him viciously. "I honestly didn't miss you guys, I mean you kinda killed me and to top that your him. This really isn't a good day!" He yelled as he pulled out his Greatsword and shattered the manikin. That was probably his 30th since he'd been here abd they weren't letting up. He had to find some shelter and fast! In the distance he could make out a lake but there was a group of Manikins between them. He sighed and dashed forward pulling out his crossbow and letting loose a good amount of arrows and then quickly shoved it in his pack and pulled out a pair of swords and spun around as the Manikins were about to jump on him. About half of their ranks shattered but there were too many! "Man where is Laguna when you need him?" He dodged an attack by flipping over the attacking manikin but an Ephemeral Vision Manikin threw a blitzball that flew threw the air and connected with Vaan's chest sending him flying backwards into the lake.

Vaan slowly awoke to a numb tingling throughout his body. He found himself facedown on the ground and slowly got up to look around. He was.....on the Top Floor of the Emperor's Castle Pandemonium. "How did I get here? But I thought.....Cosmos?" He shook his head and began to walk down to the main section of Pandemonium. He had to find a way back to the Sanctuary to figure out what the heck was going on!

Denzel continued to follow the girl until he reached the Train Station. She entered the large building and went to board a train. He snapped out of his stupor and composed himself. He was about to go into the station but needed to get a grip on HIS emotions. So he walked over to the edge of the building and with a leap began to run up to the top. When he reached the large clock face he stopped running and fell onto a ledge below. He grabbed on with onevhand and slowly pulled himself up. Then after a couple of deep breaths, sat and relaxed under the sunset.
