Kait looked up and noticed the City in the Sky was beginning to disappear. "What's happening up there?" She asked looking at Renamon and Agumon. "Things in the Digital World disappear once their main source of Data is taken," Renamon stated looking up with wide eyes. "Which means that something very strong is up there," Agumon said looking at Kait. "This could only mean one thing...Omnimon was defeated," Renamon clarified looking at Kait. "Whatever is up there we can not face by ourselves. Especially since Agumon can't digivolve," Kait said not looking away from the fading city. ......... "What the heck was that?" Beelzemon asked watching as Marina and Mechgaogamon ran off. "I'm not sure, but either way her presence shows that there are members of the Data Squad in here and their time is limited," Caleb observed. "Needless to say we should keep a close eye on those two," he continued. Beelzemon nodded, "Let's go." The two began running off to find Marina.

The ground of the Digital World shook causing Kait, Renamon and Agumon to look up. "What's that?" Kait asked looking at the City in the Sky. "That's the City in the Sky," Renamon pointed out recalling the time when she lived in the Digital World, "Mostly the Angel digimon live up there. It is ruled by Lord Omnimon," she finished looking up. "I think we should go up there. We'll get a better view of the Digital World and in turn have a better chance of finding Nate," Kait said looking up. "How do we get up there?" Agumon asked still on Renamon's shoulder. "Angel Digimons are the only ones able to get up there or one's that can fly," Renamon said looking back at Kait. "And Agumon can't digivolve," Kait pointed out. "Well there goes plan A," Agumon said loosing hope. ........... Caleb laughed. "When the Digital World is ours, I will be sure and make sure they don't dispose of you. You're too fun to tease," He said. "I think we should end this soon," Impmon said knowing what the digivice's message said. "Yes you are right Impmon. Now Impmon digivolve to Beelzemon and let's end this thing," Caleb said as Impmon was surrounded by darkness. When the black faded in Impmon's place stood the Dark Lord Beelzemon.

Kait doesn't turn back around and continues walking. 'We don't have time to deal with her,' she thought to herself. 'She can be as high and mighty as she wants but right now is not the time to have a big ego. Maybe after her and Caleb duke it out they'll both get some ground knocked back into them,' she thought glancing at Renamon who now had Agumon sitting on her shoulder. They both nodded and continued walking away. .......... "Oh hey there cutie, long time no see," Caleb grinned turning his gaze from where Kait once was to Marina. He noticed she looked mad. "Aw is someone cranky her friend went back to where he belongs?" he smirked. "You must've known he wasn't good the second you laid eyes on him. Then again you are part of the Data Squad. Tell me how does it feel being blinded by the light?" Just then his digivice started to beep. He looked down and noticed a new digivolution for Impmon was available. 'Good Leader did pull through for us,' he thought to himself smirking.

Kait looked at Agumon who looked confused. "You okay?" she asked kneeing down to look at him. "I can't sense Nate anymore," he said looking down. "It's okay we'll find him," she replied, Renamon nodded in agreement. "You know what I think?" Caleb asked harshly, "I think we should just dump the little reptile here and leave him. He is obviously of no use to us without Nate, and it looks to me like Nate doesn't care about him." Kait stood up and looked Caleb in the eye, "What is your problem?!" "My problem?" he asked mockingly. "Yes yours," Kait answered glaring at him. "I have a problem?" Caleb asked in disbelief. "Yes you do it's called a big ego and a sadistic mind. Now I don't know about you but I'm going to take Agumon and Renamon and we are going to find Nate before something happens and we're all screwed. Come on guys," Kait finished turning and walking away from Caleb. Renamon walked up to her with Nate's project digivice in her hand. "Good thinking," Kait praised taking a quick glance back at Caleb, 'When he stops being such an ass we'll talk again,' she thought to herself as she looked up in the sky to see a Dark Seraphimon fly past. "That's something you don't see everyday," Renamon comment receiving a nod from Agumon.

"Well he's not here," Caleb said as they finished searching the junkyard. "Agumon where else could he be?" Kait asked ignoring Caleb's presence. Agumon walked out of the junkyard toward a city. "I think this little reptile is leading us on a wild goose chase," Impmon said getting annoyed. "Impmon calm down we all know Nate is never in one place for long," Renamon said in his defense. "Yeah plus we shouldn't stay in one place too long who know what kind of weird things are in here," Kait added looking around before going in the direction Agumon pointed out. "Fine let's go," Caleb said following them, "we're going to need him if we want to get this plan in motion, anyway."

Kait finally caught up to Caleb, "You can not not tell me about this plan. Especially since it sounds like you, me and Nate play a pretty large part in it," she said looking in his eyes. "I made an oat to Master that I would not tell either of you two until it is complete...And I'm a man of my word," he replied grinning back at her. "I will repeat this again, once this plan is in motion, the war will be over. The Digital World will be ours," he added putting his arm over her shoulder and laughing. She pushed it away, "Don't touch me," she replied emotionless, "Let's just find Nate and report back to Leader before he thinks we are M.I.A.," she said looking around then looking back at Agumon. "Do you feel Nate anywhere?" she asked calmly. Agumon nodded and started walking toward what looked to be a junkyard full of scrap metal. 'Typical Nate,' Kait thought to herself as the group walked into the metal area.

Kait hit the ground hard followed by Renamon and Agumon falling on her. "What the heck!"Kait shouted getting up and glaring at Caleb. She looked around, "Where is Nate?" She asked looking around noticing Nate was no longer with them but Agumon was. "I don't know and I don't particularly care either. He is useless without this digivice and Agumon," Caleb said holding up Nate's unfinished digivice. "We need to find him," she said. "What happened to you Kait? You use to be so cold and didn't care. No wonder the Master put you in a team with me," Caleb said looking back at her. "Last time he was in the Digital World, he lost his memories, everyone is effected differently by this place for all we know he could be sunbathing in a poisonous lake," she shouted looking at the two digimon. "Fine, fine we'll find him. We'll need him if we want to participate in Master's final plan," he grinned walking away. "What final plan?" Kait asked confused. "Master only told me and he also said not to tell neither you nor Nate until it is complete. But it is a pretty awesome plan, one that will end this war," He said looking back and chuckling evilly.

The digivices of all the Data Breakers went off again, "The base is under attack, we advise all units to either fight or relocate to another base as fast as possible.The leader as well as all important research, experiments and things of that nature have been safely relocated to a secret location away from here. We will get in touch with all of you as soon as we possibly can until then." Kait put down her digivice and looked at Nate, "I guess we better go." She then turned to Renamon who was watching Guilmon ram food down his throat and gave a grunt of disgust. "We'll go get that digivice from your room then we'll leave," Kait said. "No need for that," Caleb's voice called as he calmly as he walked over to the duo with the digivice in his hand, "we better get going." "Who said we wanted you to join us?" Kait stated glaring at him. "Because you'll need me if you want to survive in the Digital World," he said looking back at Kait. "Who said we were going to the Digital World?" Kait asked looking at him. "Well considering the Data Squad have this place surrounded, I did," he said looking at Impmon who had already digivolved to Devimon, "open a portal," he commanded. Devimon nodded ripping open a portal. Caleb walked into and looked at Devimon, throw them in if they refuse." Devimon nodded and picked up Kait and Nate throwing them into the portal along with Agumon and Renamon before closing the portal behind them.

"Alright," Kait said nodding. "Nothing really remarkable has happened to me though. I still haven't found any traces of my family, and the leader isn't helping me very much," she replied looking down at her food. "What about you? Can you remember anything from before the incident?" She looked over at him.

Renamon ran past Guilmon not even realizing he was running toward her. The rest of the group made their way into the Dinning Hall, the lights going back on at the exact time they closed the door. "Wow, talk about perfect timing," Kait said looking back at the closed door. The Dinning Hall was like a giant buffet with everything anyone could want. "I'll meet you at a table," Kait said grabbing her and Renamon a tray and walking off to get her food. 'I wonder why Chris is here anyway,' she thought to herself.

"It looks like Chris," Kait replied looking again around the corner. A message beeped across her digivice causing her to take it out and read the new message. 'Alert several hound digimon were spotted headed this way. Our base is doing into stage two every member outside the base has two minutes to get back to base before they are locked out. Members on the inside use these two minutes to make sure you have a light source available like a candle or a flashlight. That is all." Two minutes passed and a loud metal noise was heard throughout the base and before everyone knew it the base was covered in darkness. Kait used the back light on her digivice to look at Nate. "Pretty cool huh? It covers the entire base in a strong metal, the downfall is it doesn't let outside light in and it takes a while for the main energy source to kick on," Kait pointed out. "Kait we should use this blackout moment to get into the dinning hall," Renamon said as she started running toward the dinning hall. Kait looked at Nate and nodded before running after Renamon.

Kait and Nate continued to make their way to the Dinning Hall, occasionally looking at each other when another noise was made. They turned the conner onto the corrupt that lead to the dinning hall. They kept on walking, noticing someone blocking the enterance. Kait stopped and pulled Nate back into the corridor, "I don't think you want to run into that person," she said peeking around the corner.

Kait notices a couple troops running toward the training room. "Looks like someone is working overtime," she said trying to make a joke but failing. A noise is then heard coming from the training room. Kait looks over at Nate and shrugs, "do you think we should go check it out?" she asked looking at him, noticing his new appearance.

"Very well, I suppose our meeting is over," The leader said walking out of the room. The three stood up. "You two can turn in for tonight, but tomorrow morning we are training so be ready," Caleb commanded before walking out of the room receiving and eye roll from Kait. She looked over at Nate and mummbles, "if I don't hurt him by the end of this partnership, I will scream," she said walking out. She then turned to Nate, "Do you want to go to the dining hall?" she asked remembering he was one of the only people in the organization that she could talk to.

"Of course, the Digital World is a very unpredictable place," the leader said pacing around the dark room. "In your absence we have made many new advances. One is the idea of Bio-hybrids, which is the ability to physically merge with your digimon allowing you to become more powerful. Of course we are still collecting digieggs in order to create our our army which will be sent into the Digital World to ensure our rule," he said stopping in front of the trio and looking at them, "You three will be a team from here on out," He then directs his look back at Nate, "the New Digivice you were working on, how fast can you get it working? Also how long do you plan on working with the Data Squad?"

When they reached the entrance to the base, Kait and Caleb explained their situation to the guards on duty and were granted assess to the base. "Welcome home," Kait said glancing back at Nate. "We'll go see the Master first then if you have any questions after the meeting we'll answer them," Caleb said as they walked down the empty corridor. They walked on for a while until they reached the last door in the hall and stopped. "We'll go in first and inform him of your presence, come in when we call your name," Caleb ordered opening the door Kait stepped in first and Celeb followed. "The two of you have returned," the Master's voice called as Kait and Caleb bowed. "Yes and we have brought back with us Nate, as we have told you earlier," Kait said looking up from her bow. "Oh splendid! Bring him in," the leader said throwing his arm out in front of him causing a gust of wind to push open the door, "Come on in Nate, we have much to discuss," he called beckoning Nate into the darkness.

When Kait, Caleb, and Nate got to the playground, it was empty. "Better?" Kait asked looking at Caleb as she took a seat on the swing. "I guess," he shrugged looking at Nate. "Now what do you want to know?" Caleb asked looking at Nate. "We just have to bring him up to speed on everything," Kait answered for Nate, "update him. tell him the newest technology, the newer goals, everything." "Are we sure public is the best place to mention our plans?" Caleb asked monotonously. Kait looked at Nate, "what do you think, since you are 'the genius,'" she said using the nickname most of the Breakers called him, "do you think we should go back to base?"

"There you are," Caleb said when he saw Nate reach the top of the tower, "took you long enough." Kait rolled her eyes at Caleb's remark, "Glad you could make it," she replied. "I think we should move to a new location, just in case any Data Squad members are around," Caleb suggested getting a nod from Kait. "Playground?" she suggested looking at the others. Caleb nodded, "Anywhere but here, just in case." "When we get to the playground we'll catch you up to everything, also if you don't mind the leader wants to meet with you," Kait said getting ready to climb down the building.

"I told Nate we'd meet him tonight and catch him up on things," Kait informed Caleb as the group walked down an alley. Caleb nodded, "How about while we are getting to where ever you told him to meet us, you catch me up on the tactics of this Data Squad group we are dealing with." Kait thought for a minute before replying, "I haven't faced them enough to really know their fighting style." "Pathetic, you should know by first glance how they fight and already make a move against them," Caleb said causing Kait to glare at him. "Oh really well how do you think they are, I mean you faced them once," Kait said with anger. "From what I saw they are nothing to be worried about. I really don't understand how you couldn't do this yourself," Caleb said staring straight. Kait rolled her eyes and looked at Renamon. "Yeah the boss an I we could've taken all of them down piece by piece," Impmon added receiving a look from Caleb which caused him to cower. "This should be good," Kait said stopping in front of a tall building with a fire shoot. They began climbing. When they made it up to the top Caleb glanced at Kait, "Now what?" "We wait," Kait said closing her eyes.

Kait and Caleb were in the training room battling against each other. Renamon and Impmon going at it swapping attacks and dodging each others. "Not bad, maybe this partner thing won't be so bad after all," Caleb said staring at Kait as Impmon dodged an attack from Renamon. "The Data Squad is not to be underestimated, they are strong," Kait pointed out glaring back at him. "Leader is trying to make a way for Impmon to digivolve into Beelzemon in order to make him stronger. And once this bio-merge project is complete, we'll be unstoppable." "I guess," Kait replied. "You don't seem as excited as you should be," Caleb noticed looking at her, "This project will allow us to become one with our digimon." "I know that, it just what are the risks with it?" Kait asked, "nothing that good doesn't have its risks." "Who cares, we'll be unstoppable!" Caleb said noticing Impmon take a hit from Renamon, "Impmon, what was that?!" he yelled. Impmon looked back at Caleb in fright, "I'm sorry Caleb," he apologized. "Impmon you don't have to apologize to Caleb, it is training," Kait said looking at Caleb. "Impmon wants to be strong, getting hit will not help him," Caleb explained. "I'm not going to tell you how to treat your digimon, but as your partner I'm going to advise you work with your digimon instead of using him as a tool," Kait replied. "You two can stop now," Caleb said looking at the two. Renamon and Impmon stopped and looked at their partners. "We're going to check on how the Data Squad is fairing out with these portals and while we're out we'll find Nate and bring him back to the Master," Celeb ordered. Kait nodded and the two began walking outside the base. "By the way, just because we're a team does not mean you get to order Renamon and me around," Kait stated glaring at Caleb.

"Ah look you're girlfriend came out to play, how sweet, not that bad of a looker either," Caleb teased looking at Marina, Nate and Chris. He looked at Nate and thought, 'Since when was he one of them?! Guess I have a lot more to report then I thought.' He moves fast in front of Marina, "As fun as it would be to stay and introduce my self to your beautiful self, I must go and report," he bent down and kissed her hand, "And if I'm not mistaken you three have three or five portal to close and they are not near each other what so ever, so if I were you, I'd get a move on. Demimon!" Caleb finished snapping his fingers and disappearing. ................................................ "Master you wanted to see me," Kait said walking into the meeting room and bowed. "Yes, the growing number of active Data Squad members seems to be overwhelming you," he began. "I can assure you sir it'-," Kait started but was cut off. "I can tell, it is not just you, other Breakers as well seem to be struggling with meeting quota. That is why I have assigned everyone teams of two or three. Your partner is-" this time it was his turn to be cut off by the door opening. "Ah Caleb, you've decided to join us," he finally finished. Kait rolled her eyes and mumbled, "you can not be serious." Caleb made his way further into the room and bowed next to Kait flashing her a fake smile, "Hey there partner." Kait rolled her eyes, "is this really necessary?" "Until we have reached at least half of our goals, yes it is and you two will perform as a team despite your past fall out...s, understood?" the leader stated sternly. "Understood," they said in unison. "You two start tomorrow, that is all, unless either of you have something to report. Especially after the day this base went through," He looked at the two. "Yes actually Master, it gives me great disappointment to inform you that Nate, the technical specialist, has been found," Caleb started. "That is of no disappointment, where is he?" The master asked. "That is the disappointing part, he has joined with the Data Squad and he-." Caleb was cut of by Kait, "No I spoke with him today, he is working behind enemy lines now in fact he began working again on the new digivices he was suppose to have done. I can bring him here tonight if you want and he can explain everything." "Well then I will see you three tonight," the master said leaving the room. Kait and Caleb stood up, looked at each other and groaned both silently agreeing that this partnership was going to torture.
