I really don't think so. It sounds nothing like Hayden did back then. Compare it to any line in the original game, the voice itself is entirely different.

I wouldn't bank on ever seen a young Yen Sid. Square doesn't like to mess around with the Disney characters original designs too much. They usually just limit it to giving them more stylize clothing. Look at Snow White. She was captured just before KH (or during if you complete Deep Jungle before Wonderland) but she still looks the same as in BbS, so even if Yen Sid was an apprentice alongside Eraqus and Xehanort, he'd look the same as he does now. Well, It's nnot like we can really judge by looks. Apparently Xehanort and Eraqus are around the same age, but Xehanort looks 30 years older. Plus, Yen Sid has magic, he could be much older than he appears,

That's what happens when you write as you go. Hell, we weren't even supposed to get a Kingdom Hearts II, much less an entire series, and KH2 was set up to be a natural stopping point if you ignored or didn't get the secret endings. But when people ask "why didn't this character do that" or "why did that character do this" they're usually fully aware of the design/writing perspective, what they want is a personal, story perspective, a look into the character's thought process.

Peopel are putting way too much stock in this opeening. I mean yeah, sure it's lit, but when have KH opens ever been literal? They always either just foreshadow events to come or review the series as a whole and the CG opennings do this in a stylized manner. Example, Yes, Aqua fought Ven and Terra, but not at the same time. So no, Sora is not literally going to be pulling Aqua out of the water at Destiny Islands, but he will save her. And as other have said, the chess game is how KH3 starts.

You jumped the gun. I was in the process of editing in a quote when you responded. I'm not saying he was the Master of Masters, just Eraqus and Xehanort's Master, there's no reason to beleive that the Master of Masters is the one who trained them. Like Young Xehanort said, Keyblades are passed down through generations, who knows how many people could have had that one between Luxu and Xehanort. Even with a direct route, the Master of Masters could have passed it to Luxu, Luxu to Yen Sid, Yen Sid to Xehanort. Besides, Yen Sid was already retired before he started training Mickey, he must have had other students before him, he didn't become a Master and the immediately retire, that would be kind of ridiculous. And we only know of two Keyblade Masters that where around while he was active. And it's funny you bring up Gandalf/Sauron because I see it as more of a Dumbledore/Voldemot kind of deal. He had no idea all the harm Xehanort would do so now he's tryign to fix his mistake, like Dumbledore did with Harry. But did he tell Harry right away, "Hh by the why the guy who tried to kill you was my student. I scouted him myself"? No, he waited until it was neccessary and Harry could handle it. And we all know Yen Sid never reveals anything until he has to. He's only just now telling Riku and Kairi about Terra, Aqua and Ven, because only now is it neccessary for them to know. Also, master and friend do not have to be mutually exclusive relationships. After Eraqus successeded Yen Sid as the keeper of the Land of departure they could have become peers and freinds becasue there was nocause for the formality of a student/teacher relationship anymore. Going back to Harry Potter, look at Hagrid and Dumbledore. Dumbledore was Hagrid's teacher, but they also became friends.

I suspect Yen Sid. He knew Xehanort as a student, knew how rebellious he was, and him being retired while Eraqus and Xehanort where still active Masters says to me he's from a previous generation before them. I also wouldn't mind a time skip, about 3 years to really make it feel separate. I can almost see the online description now. It's been 3 years since Sora and his friends defeated Xehanort and for the first time in over a decade the worlds have truly been at peace. Heartless, Nobodies and various other creatures of Darkness have all but vanished from the Realm of Light. But suddenly the great scorcerer Yen Sid, and King Mickey Mouse have sesned a shift in the balance of light and darkness. Strange new creatures have been appearing all over the worlds, and Sora willl have to once again leave his peaceful, idyllic life on the Destiny Island to face this new, unknown threat. ~ A New Story Begins Or, something like that. You don't think BC will cover that? And even if it isn't didn't Nomura say all remainig mysteries in the series thus far would be resolved in KH3?

I actually kind of hope not. I'd like the next saga to be completly separate, nothign connecting them except Sora being the mainc character. Having a hint at the next saga at the end of KH3 would still make it feel connected, like it's still part of the same storyline, you know?

Gummi Ships where confirmed in the same leak that confired 2.8 (as 2.9) But that leak also said 2.9 would have Attraction Flow and we havn't seen that in any trailers for 2.8. But I'm pretty sure Gummi Ships will come back it's just one of those this that's expected from a numbered title like the command menu and I think Square knows that.

2.8. Not every fan is goign to double dip for 1.5+2.5. More will buy 2.8 becasue of the new stories. Some won't buy either and will wait for KH3

I hope not. I love havign physical copies of all my KH games. Ux I understand because it's smart phone game, but for a cosole or handheld, I want a hard copy.

Well, this haloween is especially scary, what with actual murderous clowns roaming the street. My neices are too scared to even go out trick-or-treating. it's truly sad.

But I could be, and probably am, totally wrong.

You think they might have a collector's edition of 1.5+2.5 that includes 2.8?

Hey guys, I just realized. We all know that the 0.2 opening is gorgeous, but imagine how it will look in 4K! I mean, the official upload only goes up to 1080p on YouTube right? Man it just makes me want the Pro that much more.
