  1. Oh cools thanks for the heads up! I often see their stuff recommended to me on YT (I'm not subbed to them), so I'll be on my guard Like we spoke about before, I'll never understand why NoA never have much hope in some titles. They are pretty odd towards anything that isn't a Mario or Zelda or even something stupidly colourful with mass-appeal. We've seen it before with not just Xenoblade, but also things like Fire Emblem and The Last Story (and others) in recent years where they just don't care. NoE (or at least the UK branch as that's the stuff I mostly see) are very good at having ads on TV. I always see ads for Mario Maker and Splatoon on there. I'll keep my eye out if Xenoblade X shows up, but if I remember correctly, there were definitely ads for Xenoblade 3D on TV which was great to see That really sucks. Thanks for the heads up! I'll stay clear in case
  2. I hope something good gets shown. There is nothing wrong with being interested in Federation Force.. The problem with Federation Force is it should not have Metroid Prime in the title. The game would do better without it I think. Metroid fans felt betrayed and to be fair it was justified I thought.
  3. Ah I see! Yeah I thought the video ended after they showed the bundles, but then I saw the clip. Still don't know what it is all about though Did GameXplain spoil the game in their review? I saw the Q&A they did, but I've generally avoided their videos on the game. I wouldn't worry about it. My guess is Monolith are already in early stages of the next Xeno game (maybe for NX?) and if Nintendo had any brains they'd make the system region free so even if Reggie and the rest of those fools in the Treehouse don't see potential in localising another Xeno game, at the very least a British NoE localisation could happen again? Maybe... I wish.
  4. My PS2 version of the game was scratched so the game would freeze on a number of trinities whenever I tried to activate them. I did however get them all in 1.5.
  5. Nintendo of Europe has released the Launch Trailer for the game. 2 more days people. Edit: Some people on Twitter have been bitching that the trailer is full of spoilers, but as someone who is watching it completely out of context, I have no idea how it is in spoiler territory. It shows a bunch of characters (some I'm seeing for the first time), battles and just mechs flying about the place. So if you aren't that fussed about just seeing more of the game then by all means click, if you want to avoid seeing ANY characters or "oh no aliens and humans are fighting" then probably avoid it. Still, nice to see that NoE have been steadily pumping out videos these last few weeks to promote the game. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zb8QpABNTPM
  6. The reviews are starting to creep out now for the game. Safe to say, it is reviewing quite well.
  7. Ok then, you agree with most things Toriyama does then.
  8. Yeah but you agree with most things SE do.
  9. I've never been one to actively go out of my way to change to Japanese. The only recent example is I am playing Project Zero currently with Japanese audio. Other than that I never change. I was tempted to change Type-0's audio, but I simply got used to the English VA so eh. There are certain exceptions however, in Street Fighter I change some of the characters (like Ryu and Chun Li for example) to speak in Japanese because I think it fits better (I know Chun Li is Chinese but I haven't a choice for that so...). I'm not really one to complain if the option isn't there to switch. I know for games based on anime it is kind of expected because you are then appealing both types of fans. Two games this year left me not really caring that an option wasn't there; Steins;Gate and Xenoblade 3D. As a fan of Steins;Gate I was in no way fazed that the VN was sub-only, because I watched the anime in Japanese. Therefore it suited me fine as I was already used to the voices. Xenoblade 3D got a lot of flack from some fans because it lacked dual-audio that was in the Wii version. This was funny because I actually didn't know that there was dual-audio in the Wii version, so I actually got really attached to the Britishness. It actually is one of the highlights of the game for me to the point where I find the Japanese audio really strange to listen to. I think having the option is the best of both worlds and it is great to see more games realise this because it affects different games depending on the person. I don't agree with selling the Japanese audio as DLC like XIII-2 did (if I remember correctly?) though. If you are going to have an option to give fans the Japanese audio then don't charge them for it. Downloadable is fine, but it has to be free I think.
  10. Good to see Chrono Trigger winning. Brilliant game. Not sure why Kingdom Hearts II is being paired up against Melee though, I'll pick it, but Melee is good fun with friends. Edit: How the hell did Sonic 2 beat Portal 2? What is wrong with people? Portal 2 is one of the best games to come out in the last decade.
  11. Hey now don't blindly hate on the SNES and GBA versions just because they are on old systems. They are arguably the best place to play the game. Even the PSOne version gets a pass too. Also thanks to emulation you can easily play better versions of the game elsewhere. I played through the GBA version on both my phone and PC, didn't make my experience of the game any worse and I've since bought the PlayStation version. Sure a mobile version was released and some people don't mind the changes, but it isn't any mystery that Final Fantasy VI was widely criticised by fans because of it's awful sprites, poor performance and bugs. They can fix them all they want and you can say "deal with it", but it is a poor port of easily one of the greatest games in the series and there is no hiding that. Just because something is new doesn't mean it is better.
  12. Shame really. Final Fantasy VI shouldn't be experienced in its Android/iOS port. The sprite work is shambolic. And I actually bought Final Fantasy V on Steam. I'll continue to grumble about the lack of 3D remakes for the two titles.
  13. Can't wait to try out Y'sholta..... and the game in general!
  14. This was the latest trailer from the European side leading up to release. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kOm842H-rac Shows off combat and some of the character customisation. Nothing can stop this hype train!
  15. Such a great system! I was super late to the SNES party. It was only a few years ago that my brother managed to purchase one from some guy down the street from us. It was a steal of a price too. Oddly enough I didn't even get the chance to play my favourite games from the system on the actual SNES itself. I played Final Fantasy IV for the first time on the DS. Brilliant game though I heard the DS version was actually harder than the SNES one... Not sure how true that is though! One of my favourite games, Final Fantasy VI, I played the GBA version and subsequently own the PlayStation version of it. Earthbound never released here in Europe until it dropped on the Wii U Virtual Console in 2013! Haha, shame really cause it is outstanding! Secret of Mana was another game I missed out for the SNES system itself. I played the Wii VC version and later the version on Android (which is horrible). Super Metroid was something I didn't get to play until I got it on the Wii U VC. An absolute gem that's for sure. We had a number of good games on cartridge like Donkey Kong Country, Super Mario World and Street Fighter II though. I really enjoyed those
  16. You have the Limited Edition pre-ordered, correct? I'll finally find a decent use for Miiverse on the PC haha!
  17. Naturally they had a few stumbles along the way. The ports, remasters and handheld games were where SE were far stronger at delivering. Buying out Eidos wasn't a bad bit of business either from them. Looking forward into this current PS4/X1 (and even PC) generation, I think SE are in a far better place. Titles like Setsuna, World of FF, KH3, Nier Automata, future updates to FFXIV, Dissidia, and of course FFXV are all titles I can say that I am genuinely excited for.
  18. Of course not. It's just a game. Many of the people I know are aware of my love for Kingdom Hearts so I've never felt the need to hide it.
  19. I really cannot wait for the release date to roll around. Sadly it's looking like I'll be waiting until Christmas Day to get my hands on it. Which is fine from a college work perspective any ways haha. Once I get into the world of Mira I'll definitely be sharing some screenshots* here any ways *spoiler free of course!
  20. GameXplain have uploaded 3 videos of a Q&A in regards to the game. I've seen the first two parts so far and it is spoiler free in terms of story and all that. Definitely worth looking into! The video is just random gameplay while the two guys talk You haven't played the new one yet to judge the new cast though? Apparently there is a huge cast of characters in the new one and they are really well written. As great as Shulk, Reyn and co. were in the previous game why feel the need to compare? I'd say wait for the game to come out before judging if the game has a more enjoyable cast.
  21. Final Fantasy XIV. Though looking at that list, it really doesn't highlight that Square Enix had all that great of a 360/PS3/Wii generation. I enjoyed games like Nier, Drakengard and uh one of the CC games on Wii, but overall nothing to rave home about. Well except XIV and even then I played it for a year or so on PS3 before upgrading to the PS4 version early this year.
  22. I think it's cool that he got added and I will end up buying him on the Wii U version (as I have all other character DLC any ways). Although to be honest, I'm not the biggest fan of FF7. Cloud as a character is lame and I would've liked to have seen another character from Final Fantasy be represented, but you have to look at the wider picture. He is a gaming icon so if you had to go with someone from FF then I can't see anyone but him being included (ignoring personal tastes of course). I already have my mains in Marth, Jigglypuff, Shulk and Ness. I'll give Cloud a shot like I did with Ryu, but really his use will probably be from my friends/family giving him a go. I really can't wait to see who else has been added, the special broadcast has me in all kinds of hype.
  23. Considering they published DQIX and handle the publishing for both Bravely games, it shouldn't be a surprise for Nintendo to publish VII & VIII. No doubt when XI comes out Nintendo will handle that too. I thought VIII did well on PS2? Or was it only ok? XI seemed to generate hype with its PS4 announcement. I dunno o.O
