Joseph finished all of the necessary preparations and then headed back to the throne room, anxious to see what Faria had in store for them. He came across Gen in the hallway, sitting on a bench. "Hey there, feel any better now?" he asked. "I don't know how long it'll take Brutus to get here. He didn't even know what a bath was when I asked him." Joseph sat down next to her on the bench, more at ease with her than he was with most people. Sure he had always seemed good with people, but that had just been a defense mechanism. Truth was, he was scared most of the time around others. Scared that they would see the real him, and not like what they saw. With Gen, though, and Brutus for that matter, it didn't matter much. Brutus was guaranteed to not care about much of anything involving his past, and Gen, well Gen looked like the kind of person who would understand. She would know that people aren't perfect, but that focusing on the bad only is no way to go through life. But would she understand him? Yeah, Joseph thought she would.

August reached the end of the line at his path, facing a wall with apparently no way past. It was then that he heard the sound of heavy breathing behind him, followed by a low growl. August turned to face the inevitable, a large behemoth standing between him and his path out of there. The behemoth lunged out with his claws, an attack narrowly avoided by August. He summoned a gun and shot at the creature's face, hoping to knock it off balance or stun it for a moment. He got more than he had dared hope for, however, when the Behemoth's right eye was taken out. The behemoth, now infuriated, turned the horn atop its head to try to impale its unfortunate adversary. August was able to summon a sword and shield combo at the last minute, however, and blocked the horn. The force behind the blow tossed him into the air and slammed him into the ceiling. Searing pain shot through his body, the needle wounds from before amplifying the effect of the impact. He knew that he would have to defeat the beast however, so as he was falling down towards the head of the beast he summoned forth the Inferno glyph and slashed through it with his sword, cloaking the blade in flames. The blade sank into the skull of the behemoth, it's lifeless body falling with a thud. As August stepped away from it and dismissed the sword and shield, he saw the wall slide over, revealing a path to an opened hatch, leading down below to Cain. August just hoped that the Governor was alright, though a sinking feeling in the pit of his gut told him that it was unlikely.

(OOC: Keyblade_warrior895, your characters are accepted, but only if the Telekinesis is in short bursts, otherwise it would be over powered. Also, please edit your post to explain what Prowls ability really is, because "dark magic" is far too vague. Thank you! dusk, I'm sorry to say that this particular character won't be accepted due to the fact that Azure Flame has already claimed fire as an ability and the fact that your Companion is human like in appearance. Feel free to create another character, though!)

"No wonder Brutus always smells," thought Seph. Seph then turned to face him and said, "Okay, I want you to go to your guest room. Adjacent to that there should be a restroom. Inside the restroom there should be a large white tub. This place is fancy enough that they should have indoor plumbing, a luxury I've seen only once before. I want you to fill the tub with water, set your dirty clothes to the side, place a dry towel next to the tub, and get into the water. Then use the soap and wash cloths provided to clean all of the muck and grime off of yourself. Rinse and repeat. After you're clean, step out and drain the tub, dry yourself with the towel, and put on clean clothes. Meet back up with me here in the throne room after you're completely ready to leave for Faria."

(OOC: I understand your reason for leaving, but if you could maybe either write off his connections with her and focus on making new connections or create a new character, then that would be great. Everyone's about to be sent to help out the neutral district and that's when the story will really get started.) Jykell looked around his class for an empty seat and found that while elsewhere there were many students, the seats next to Jonah were strangely unoccupied. Wishing to stay away from as many people as possible, he went over and took a seat next to Jonah, smiling as he did so.

Master Eraqus seems like he would make for a really good and supportive teacher, not to mention that by training under him I could learn to do some of that whoop tail light based magic he does.

Kusarigama and Koneko headed towards their Bladesman class, while an exhausted Jykell limped slowly off to his History of the Nation class along with Jonah. (After everyone says where they went to third period it'll be lunch time and then an announcement will be made that will start more dynamic events.)

(OOC: Xeveemon, it is strictly against the rules of this rp to character control, which means saying that an attack hit or did damage to another opponent. That is why Damion would say that Cain attacked or charged forward, but never what happened to your character as a result of that. You also broke an even more vital rule, no killing another person's character without their permission. Otherwise Cain could have killed your character at any given time. Thirdly, it has been a long established rule that no one's Inhabitor can exist as a physical body outside of their hosts, or else they wouldn't need the hosts to begin with. In no way, form, or fashion can you "will" them into being. Additionally, Victoria had no combat experience what-so-ever, so without Lightning she would be useless in a fight against a trained assassin with hundreds of murders under his belt. I move that we have Xeveemon edit and remove his last post. All those in favor please say aye.)

(OOC: Everyone's accepted! There are just a few conditions for Azure Flame and Keyblade_warrior895. Azure Flame, you can't have both fire and a sword, you must pick one. Keyblade_warrior895, if you want to use an ability in fusion mode, then just do so. No one else has cards, so it would seem kind of out of place for you to have them. Secondly, your Companion can't be any larger than five feet tall. It can still be Metalgelas, but he just has to be smaller. Also, to FrenchFrey, you don't have to change anything, but just know that if anyone targets your human character, he's pretty much defenseless. Hey there everyone. I really like the whole "turn based battle system" thing and job classes in games like Final Fantasy X (which doesn't have "job classes" but in which everyone fills a unique role) and the Final Fantasy Tactics series. Are there any really good games out there for either PS3, DS, GBA, or Wii? A turn based battle system and/or job classes is what I'm looking for here. I suppose Azure Flame could either take control of your character or just say that the two of you fought and one of you one before leaving her to kind of fade away.) Kusarigama definitely didn't see that coming. He came to the conclusion that unconventional enemies required unconventional tactics, and so he leapt off of his broom, leaving it to dissipate back into his soul energy and return to him before calling it out once more in scythe form. It was then that he used a trick he had recently picked up, self soul resonance, and activated Witch Hunter, albeit a less powerful version than one used by a weapon and meister. Koneko jumped over the kick, but just barely, and pulled a front flip, spiraling her sword around with her to attack, her body now over Jonah's head and the sword spinning to hit him from the back. She was glad that it seemed like he was finally serious.

August stood up and unleashed a quick burst of Inferno, making all of the needles in his body fly out. He still hurt, but endorphins were flooding his brain in the same way they would after being given acupuncture. August then looked around to see what had come of the others. Paul had an injured leg and Victoria had a hurt foot, while Mariah was exhausted. It was then that he realized what, or rather who, the pile of ash on the ground was. Calder was no longer with them. "You bastard! Someone firetrucking DIED and you have the nerve to call it BORING? I swear, I'll take you down myself, even if I have to kill all three behemoths! You won't get away with hurting anyone else anymore!" August shouted to the intercoms, his temper boiling over, unleashing the pent up rage he had hid behind coldness before when Marcus died. Turning to the others, he said "I'll take the Omega Behemoth in the East path. Everyone else should split up and take the North and South paths. I don't trust that Northeast path. We shouldn't all go through one way because then he might run through a different path, taking up time. Besides, if we don't take the things down, they'll just gang up on us later." Resolutely, August opened the door and walked through, making his way towards Cain and vengeance one step at a time.

Joint Souls RP Necessary information: You can be either a bad guy or a good guy. Good guys are trying to take down an evil guy who summoned a number of "Striders", residents of the Other Realm, a magical world parellel to our own. Bad guys are looking to wreck havoc and defeat the good guys. The Striders he summoned were very beast like. His sister, the only other person able to connect to the Other Realm, used the last of her strength to connect a number of Strider's souls to our world in hopes that they would find humans with souls they were compatable with to join. Her brother did the same to combat her forces. When the Strider's souls connect with a compatable human then the Striders are able to transport to our dimension and the connected human gains enhanced physical ability. They also get either a weapon along with expertise in using it, or a simple magical ability due to being connected to the Other Realm. In times of dire need, a human and their Strider can fuse, becoming more powerful than either individually. Striders must be non-human in appearance and smaller than the average individual. They are supposed to be like a mix between friends and pets. Striders cannot be OCs. Striders can talk, regardless of if their source material can or not (for example, Pokemon). Backstory, not truly necessary: There was once a boy and girl, brother and sister, with an uncanny ability. They were connected to the Other Realm, a place of magic, parellel in space and time, in a reality different from our own. They could reach across the gap and communicate with the unique residents there. They were even able to travel to that strange and magical place by connecting each of their souls to the souls of the souls of individuals living in the Other Realm. The two siblings grew up, each with their own ideals, and ultimately found themselves at odds. The sister saw the emotional side of the Other Realm, in that they only way they were able to travel there was by linking their souls with others, and became a teacher in order to invest moral ideals into the modern youth in hopes that it would not only effect our world, but the Other Realm via their invisible connection. While the brother looked into the scientific nature of the Other Realm, he made breakthroughs in science, and strived to find a way to use his mind to bring the Other Realm and his world together. Eventually fame and wealth took its toll on him and he became corrupted. He then organized an event hosting many of the world's elite to come to his lab and observe his newest findings, coaxing them with the promise of wealth and power. It was there that he put his plan into effect, connecting his single soul to the souls of many residents of the Other World whom he had convinced to follow him via the promise of this other dimension to control. The "Striders" as they were now called, due to their striding between the two dimensions, hadn't counted on the adverse effects of linking all of their individual souls to his one. They arrived in this dimension a mere shadow of their former selves, brutes to be manipulated under their summoner's will, while his connection to them gave him access to the magic of the Other Realm. The brother used his Striders to slaughter the world leaders, leading the world into chaos. After discovering this, his sister attempted to stop him, but was overwelmed. With the remaining energy she had, she opened up the Other Realm, and pulled some special souls from it in hopes that they would find and bond with people their souls were compatible with. Upon connecting to a person's soul in this reality, the Striders would be able to bridge the gap to this world with none of the negative side effects that accompanied the Striders linked to the brother. By linking to the Striders, the humans became linked to the magic of the Other Realm, manifesting itself either in the form of a weapon or a special ability in addition to over all enhancing their physical ability. Upon discovering what his sister had done, the brother summoned forth key allies from the Other Realm as well, setting their souls off to link with the souls of humans as to hold off his sister's forces. This is the story of their joint souls. Rules: 1. KH13 role playing rules apply 2. No over powering 3. Limit your side missions 4. Post "Whoa man" at the bottom of your Character Sheet 5. Up to four characters per person 6. Only one Strider per character unless you make a really good case for having two 7. The Strider and character must share a common theme 8. Limit your cursing 9. Bio: 5'11", 145 lb, Blitz was just a regular teenager whose life changed when he heard about what had happened to the world's leaders, and it changed even more so when Sonic linked souls with him and told him what really happened. He is a fairly high energy guy, but he keeps his head in a tight spot. He hates seeing others in pain, and will do whatever he can to save people from Vallen and his army of controlled Striders. (It's pitch black in that room. Unless Paul has a way to create light, dodging all of the traps won't be that easy.) August turned to face Victoria, who's foot was bleeding out more and more as time went on. He wondered how she'd gotten the arrow stuck in her foot, but decided that that was a question best saved for another time. He used what little he knew of bandaging wounds and then went to removing her needles. He hoped that Tifa or Lighting knew some healing spells, because Vaan sure as heck didn't.

(How did Victoria get an arrow in her foot if the first thing August did was get rid of the crossbows?)

"Just think of me as an enemy then!" Koneko half-shouted at Jonah. She was exasperated. She pulled her sword up from the ground and charged at him. "Well you'd better be willing to fight, otherwise this is gonna hurt!" Jykell knew that Mr. Goku was only using a fraction of his power, but still he was happy when Goku looked bewildered for a moment before deciding to attack with more force than before. That was, of course, before he realized that that meant that Mr. Goku was going to be attacking harder. Then he wasn't so happy. It wasn't necessarily that Jykell was the best of fighters, it was more so that he simply knew what he had to do and when to do it to get the results he desired. Not just in fighting either. Jykell had found that as long as there is a certain amount of fundamental order, the future could be fairly accurately predicted, something that he took great comfort from because he was so bad at dealing with change. Kusarigama popped the body of the broom up at the last moment so that the metal pole was between his and Anthony's bodies, with Kusarigama in the much more comfortable position, as Anthony's face was soon to hit the metal broom if nothing were done about it.

August did the best he could under the circumstances and reached the end of the room to stand in the hallway with Mariah, facing a ladder that dropped down into the labyrinth below. "Mariah, you look pretty hurt and exhausted there," he said, temporarily forgetting about the dozens of needles within his own skin. He was glad he'd taken out the crossbows at the back of the room, because he could easily think of several times when being struck by a needle took away his focus for just enough time for an arrow to have escaped his attention and killed him. The needles were bad, granted, but they sure beat being run through by an arrow. August began to assist Mariah in pulling out the needles stuck in her skin, being as gentle as he could. If they didn't take time to pull the arrows out, after all, they could become a much greater hindrance later on.
