I think only 5 elections were won just purely by winning just the electoral college and not the popular. It does not happen very often and none of those elections were overturned later by the popular vote. Sorry Clinton lost and it is what it is.

Vulpix the scenario you are describing is Clinton's scenario lmao. She won much much fewer states than Trump- just with high electoral votes. She didn't win. So you don't really have a point. In order for Trump to win he needed major swing states whose votes change every election to vote for him. Florida, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Michigan. It's super hard to do but he did it. He even won states that normally voted blue. That's how he won and it was a long shot.

The only nutcases are the people freaking out/hysterical over one man. We have survived horrendous presidents in the past and Clinton btw would not have been any better. She was corrupt and just as bad if not worse. She was no hero coming to save us.

Large, densely populated Democratic cities (NYC, Chicago, LA, etc) don't and shouldn't speak for the rest of our county. That is why the Founding Fathers instituted an Electoral College, not the popular vote as the basis for picking a President. They did not want a mob mentality. They also knew a pure democracy would fail for this reason and would not work. Then add in states rights and there you go.
