there is a difference between cartoony and the kind of graphics style they were using. the CGI trailers are the kind of cartoony I want to see in KH3, the footage they showed though just looked, like a way to bright/maybe blurry color pallet, its hard to explain. but yeah I'm hoping its just beta graphics and that the final graphics are much better.

thank you for having a reasonable discussion with me. only thing with mods is, as sad as it is, that kind of dirty stuff will be made for the franchise with or without them.

I want it to be on PC because I am a PC player, not saying he PS4 is bad, its the best of this gen of consoles, but I'd rather play it on PC. I already have it and could get the game cheaper during steam sales, and there is the possibility for mods to add in content. there is also the fact that I don't want to have to hold onto a bunch of different consoles just to play 1 franchise, I don't want to have to hold onto a PS3 AND a PS4 since there is no backwards compatibility, and the streaming service isn't backwards compatibility, once the streaming servers go down I've lost the game forever. I want to be able to hold onto these games as long as possible, maybe even play them with kids if I ever have them. on PC I could just enjoy the franchise all at once and it will last a lot longer than it ever will on a console. and you can read what I said about controls in my earlier post, it would work fine and chances are even if you didn't like the controls they would have controller support.

dude. this is about whats best for kingdom hearts as a franchise, if your judging where it should be based on the interests on consoles than your doing it wrong and you shouldn't be taken seriously at all. kingdom hearts is third party and as such should serve its fans. plus at this point sony's blown both Microsoft and Nintendo out of the water I doubt loosing one game to the PC is going to hurt sales.

no a keyboard would actually work really well for KH. WASD to move around, mouse to move the camera, left click to attack, right click to lock on and use the number keys for magic/summoning and stuff. E key to interact or talk with people. it could work very well and how does the game being released on PC mean it wouldn't come to PS4?

and nobody is saying that it should be PC only, I'm just saying it should be on PC IN ADDITION TO PS4. and being just on PS4 doesn't mean KH3 wouldn't be sponsored by sony, Destiny is a multiplatform game and they got sponsored by sony, so did watch dogs. even without the sony sponsorship kingdom hearts would be fine, its freaking kingdom hearts.

this thread isn't about "will it come to the PC?" this is about "why shouldn't it come to PC?" and you people clearly have no excuse on why it shouldn't

how does it not suit PC? PC is the home of all types of games big and small and of all genres and all types of games mature and kid friendly, even Disney is finally going to start using steam with the remake of castle of illusion and duck tales. Im not being rude, he just said no without giving any information or reason at all to back up his reasoning, this is a forum its about discussing things not giving 1 worded responses just because you can't give an argument

my guess would be if they don't do it by the end of KH3, putting the world back together again, though it's going to be hard to top a villain like xehanort

why not? give me one damn good reason it shouldn't be on PC. its certainly not because of hardware limits, keyboard controls would work fine or even if you didn't want to you can use a controller, and just about every other square enix franchise is on the PC except for final fantasy

for the love of god you people are stubborn about this but now its just hilarious. as I've said before I don't want to have to hold on to multiple consoles just to play 1 franchise, and no the cloud isn't an option with 1.5 on the PS4, if its only on the cloud than I wont be able to play it if it ever gets taken down. plus porting games between consoles is even easier than ever now with the x64bit architecture of the PS4. your old excuse was "well they want to put the franchise on 1 console which is clearly the PS3 so no need for the PC" (I still can't believe some of you didn't see this coming) so can we finally agree that kingdom hearts is a wonderful franchise the should be in the hands of many as possible and that PC is a good option for it? EDIT: so apparently square is now going to release it on XBOX1. they are releasing KH on the most anti-consumer console ever there is no excuse left for them not to put it on PC. but chain of memories effects everything directly. if there was no namine sora never would have lost his memories and slept, roxas would still be around, sora would fight all of the organization at once, xion would still be around as well. the repercussions would be so big

marvel no. star wars if they did it perfectly could work, but if they screwed up one thing it wouldn't work, they would need to get the atmosphere right, plot alterations to flow well, and have music that works with both franchises.

never mind that it would feel weird(which I don't think it would) the next xbox is anti-consumer and just creepy(KINECT must always be plugged in for the console to work, ALWAYS) but I seriously don't see the problem with giving more people the chance to experience classics from an amazing franchise. and your kinda contradicting yourself since 358 was a DS game and is on PS3 for the collection, and BBS will be in 2.5(which is pretty much confirmed at this point). I mean square is a business, it's their job to make more money so I don't see why they don't do it especially since every other franchise they have is on PC(besides FF) I dunno maybe it's something with the steam business practices, valve gets a 30% cut out of a games sales which seems like a lot but with the server upkeep they have its really not that much. could also be Disney, there has not been a single Disney game yet on steam(but they have had modern games on PC) and with Disney characters in KH they might not want it to happen. though thankfully that's going to change this summer with the castle of illusion remake coming to steam

come on dude. there is a point where you have to face facts. the whole point of 1.5 is to try and get new people into the franchise, whats the point of putting it on 360 when XBOX1 is going to fail faster than the wiiU and never see KH3. and the wiiU will probably fail soon as well, maybe not as fast but it's not far off, they have had to resort to getting an exclusive sonic game, SONIC, not saying its bad but It doesn't sell consoles anymore and all Nintendo has done is pissed off most of the fanbase who now wants to see the wiiU dead even more.

you clearly don't understand the PC gaming ecosystem. MMOs aren't the only thing to do on PC, yes lots of people play them but that's mainly because of FREE to play. single player games sell on PC as well, all you have to do is look at the half-life community, or crysis 3, or portal 2, or deus ex HR(which is square enix owned) singleplayer games do just fine on PC

also you guys don't need to post reasons why the game wont come to xbox or wiiU since my OP is admitting that it shouldn't happen

I think always online and no used games are currently a much bigger problem for the console. xbox360 was the console to get if you wanted multiplatform games because of how easy to use it was compared to PS3 in some regards(like patching) and online voice chat. now everyones on equal playing field and they have essentially shot themselves in the foot, chest, face and buried their own body. and you would be surprised what games can work on PC, try to think broader, PC's most played game is LoL a fantasy game, and PCs has controller support. so playing games that would work better on a controller(like KH, though it wouldn't be so bad on PC like lego games are) is entirely possible. hell every square enix franchise out of japan is on PC(except FF11) putting it on PC would be a gold mine. though as I said at this point I really wouldn't mind, its just convenience at this point since PS4 is really the only good console next gen

I don't know what article you were reading but it wasn't very accurate. the PC if you have a powerful enough rig is entirely next gen. the only thing it lacks compared to playstation4 is the speed of the RAM, but that's not a very limiting factor.

well, the day I never expected to come has finally come. for those of you unaware(or maybe you want narrarated backstory ) when 1.5 got announced most of the community was happy, but there were also people who had a xbox360 or a wiiU who were unhappy 1.5 wouldn't come to the console, myself included. and now I finally find myself giving up. if you haven't been keeping up with the news today Microsoft announced the xbox1. and did just about everything wrong with it. first of all they barely showed any games, but that aside they have taken away the ability for people to share games. and have made the console always online. but its not technically always online, its "you have to be connected to the internet once every 24 hours." and if you've been living under a rock the wiiU still sucks. so I find myself realizing now, there really is no reason for KH to come to xbox or wiiU. wiiU because there is no way it will survive long enough and KH3 will probably be too much for the system to handle(looking back on it now I should have seen this earlier) and the next xbox unless something drastic happens will completely fail at launch no matter what games they put on it. so I admit, sony consoles win, they are going to dominate the next generation unless they make every wrong move possible going forward. so I admit, you were right, there is no reason for 1.5 to be on xbox or wiiU, I'm not going to be a sore looser about it. but the one thig I still wish you guys would consider is having the series go on PC as well. PC can handle next gen games and it's not like the market isn't there, the most played PC game is league of legends which is a fantasy game. though if it doesn't I probably wont be upset because now the PS4/PS3 looks like a much more worthwhile investment to me even though I already play on PC. that is all

The JRPG series games dont need to change. as i've said they need to put them out on more consoles.obveously they wont sell well if their playerbase is limited to just 1 console, they need to reach a wider audience and keeping the games limited with avalibility is stupid for a 3rd party developer where hardware isnt an issue. and as i've said putting the games on PC alone would be a HUGE move for them, steam has a huge community and they wouldn't have to pay for physical packaging. although i do think the people higher up in the company need to put their foot down with products that arn't selling well. anyone could have told you making a third FF13 game would be a bad idea. if they could just make smarter descisions and reach a wider audience with their JRPG games the company would be doing so much better
