I don't find FF games to be hard with the exception of FF5........sure it requires some planning and strategizing but it's not a big deal once you get the hang of it....if you want a legit hard JRPG that's Shin Megami Tensei

No,you don't need to play all games as each game has a different story As for which games I recommend,well that depends on you being open minded towards turn based battle systems and not expect the series to be similar to KH Because if yes I recommend the following:FF4,FF6,FF7,FF9 and FF10 If no,then the only game that's remotely "similar" to KH is FF15 which is an average game at best On average an FF game takes about 30 to 35 hours to beat but games like 15 takes 20 hours to beat the main story The stories are not as convoluted and messy as KH(except the XIII trilogy which was really bad) and for the most part they have engaging stories with endearing characters and an interesting world and lore

I know since the game is still VEEEEEEEEEEEEERY early in development I'm just expressing future concerns since in FFXV when it was versus there was a plan to let switch between characters mid battle but then it got changed I hope VII remake doesn't become a copy of XV's battle system since XV sold a lot

Cloud and Barret having 1600+ from the beginning? Also I hope to God they keep the option of switching characters cuz I'd be pissed if I only control Cloud in battle

Heck even if it felt like Final Fantasy it doesn't mean it can't be criticized Final Fantasy VIII is a FF game through and through but I found it boring and tedious beyond belief so even the classics of the old days had their issues

Flynn had the same VA as the first game but in the original he only did grunts and said "Burroughs"

Again,I don't hate XV heck I come back to it sometimes and I'll,begrudgingly tho,pick the DLC to see what Gladio and Prompto were up to when they seperated from the group

Writing and direction are the main blame sure,but it doesn't mean he should sound so bored out of his mind even during fight scenes........just hear his performance in Dissidia But since in VII Cloud was a snarky wise-cracker they need someone that could pull a sound that's both snarky and sometimes stoic I want the guy who voiced Flynn in SMTIV Apocalypse to voice Cloud

I never said XV isn't a true FF,in fact it actually is but it has glaring issues that needs to be addressed and pointed

I defended Tabata more than anyone else but when he comes out and say all the issues of the game were done on purpose.........that broke my respect for the guy

@Zerrick My oh my are you very offended by the opinion of a random person on the internet.I didn't even hate the game.In fact I said dozens of times I actually like it but the game suffers from a lot of problems both in game design and writing.I blamed Toriyama for destroying FF's reputation dozens of times,Nomura shares a lot of the blame for XV's predicament and I hate the direction he took with KH

I hope in the VII remake that Cloud's Voice actor won't be Steve Burton......he might've "worked" (large quotations here) in Advent Children but I absolutely HATED his voice and performance in KH,Dissidia and other games.....there is a reason why Cloud in Smash 4 didn't have lines done by Steve Burton

@Yusaku yeah,XV would've bombed if it still used the XIII monikor.....just look at how badly Lightning Returns sold

Granted with delicate and careful development process you can get a really fun battle system like KH2 XV's system,while can be fun,just doesn't come close to KH2 at all....not even scratching the surface

Well the only series Nomura legitimately directed prior to Versus\XV was Kingdom Hearts and his work on the movie Advent Children played a big role in why they went with the action approach While sure in marketing it looks super hype,on practice it doesn't leave much room for the player to strategies

I can't care much about this theory if it wasn't proven true and if it was true they should've shown it in the game one way or another But hey maybe I gotta pay for it in DLC just like how I'll pay to see why Gladio went somewhere else when I didn't need to pay for such things in FF6 and 9 to see them

As a character yes I love Ardyn to death.As a boss battle,he sucks. But then again I didn't get a single game over in FFXV heck I didn't even overlevel myself I was like 5 levels behind Ardyn yet I defeated him with ease without dying

The Ardyn battle was epic but it was really easy......like,the easiest Final boss in FF history second only to Orphan from FFXIII

It's simple,you can move a certain amount of spaces,then place the specified sphere whether it's HP,MP.....etc. If you watched the tutorial then you'd know how to use it.It's simple
