  1. "Seems to me you're a negative of this world just as much, if not more." Noah began, looking back at the text, "A reaper, right?""I guess we can't get in through here...maybe we should try going around?" Yumiko suggested. Joshua nodded quietly, still watched by Morgan. She looked back down at Atlas, giving information already. Not that it was much a big deal, but it was rather soon."I can do this with the living and the dead, regarding humans. At least one subject of conjoining species must be alive at the time, though." Isaac pointed out. Trevor seemed to be a bit disturbed, or at least unnerved at the thought. "Players meant to be erased, for example, or fallen Reapers. Otherwise just people of the 'human world'."
  2. Joshua's face would grow paler if it could, but he froze, instinctively turning his head away upon eye contact with the student at the Academy. Their eyes shot to one another despite being so far, separated by the wall and seen only through that window. The student was lucky. Lucky to have gotten into the academy, to be able to, even. Surely Joshua would make it if it weren't for the darkness literally within him. "Sneak in...for one day." "Huh...?" He looked around him, making sure that no one heard him talk to himself. Ancitif's voice was unheard, luckily, unless it wanted to whisper into the minds of others. "One day. Listen in to everything. You will be the ears...and I can be the eyes in the shadows. EVERYWHERE...in the shadows. The student of light who you just made eye contact with, for instance. I can watch them from the darkness and you know that." Joshua quickly turned back to see his shadow, which was covered completely by an eye, then normal in a blink. He knew. Joshua hid just slightly away from the line of sight through that window, behind the tree he had leaned against. He walked slowly away from the academy, bypassing Rei. From Joshua's shadow, a small eye shot at Rei and disappeared. "I am so dead," she had muttered to herself. From Rei's very own shadow behind her, the eye remained. Closed...listening...whispering to her heart. "You are already dead--" Ancitif spoke to her once. It had continued on, but mumbled even as its ominous whispers, deliberately. Hiding something....

  4. "I believe they learn to fight against the Dark Ones there. They would do the same to me, to you, to us. They would kill you. I hope you know that your kind sees us all as evil, and we may be...but your kind too, is judgmental. Oftentimes evil. Cruel, avaricious, arrogant, ignorant, envious, but still overall-- judgmental. The Dark Ones were already judged. But we judged you all too. You know this, yes?" "...Yes...." Joshua replied with dread. He looked off to Arlolin Magic Academy, the subject of conversation in fact. He had wanted to go since he was little-- or, even younger than he is now. The Dark One was with him now, forever, and he could never do so. It was never a choice of his. "With a bit of work, we may be able to rid the world of them. Not just the humans, but us Dark Ones too-- the judgmental. Let it be a caring world again, but we'll end up watching it slowly corrupt again." Joshua kept silent. Ancitif, his Dark One, was unheard by anyone even near-- they were direct whispers from his heart. He did not stand by Joshua's side, he stood within him, seeped into his body and soul, his heart, manifested only in the darkness of his shadow. Joshua's blonde hair sat raggedly on his head, his skin pale, his body weakly set alone from all but himself. The humans didn't talk to him anymore, nor did the Dark Ones, or even the Holy Ones. Be it out of fear, or just a lack of care at all...alone.
  5. Very abrupt and short-lasted, but very noticeable. It's an interesting topic to discuss.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9pHDLRyU60A
  6. (I know this was a joke thread but I'm bringing this up anyway)Personally, I really like the full version music of Dantalian no Shoka's ending, but the animation made absolutely no sense in itself or with the anime. Kind of creeped me out and confused me the first time I saw it after the episode ended, it's just so...peculiar.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cTnjbH9Lh3M

  12. "I'll make you play the game with us...sooner or later." Noah ceased attacking seeing it fail. "And those creatures...." He continued, referring to the Noise, "What are they...?"Kasumi and Alexander soon arrived with Astro and Eric to see the short battle between Noah and Atlas. The Player and the Reaper, easily distinguishable. "So there are more," Kasumi stated, looking at Astro, as he seemed most knowledgeable of the circumstance.Joshua and Yumiko, meanwhile, arrived to the 104 building from the opposite side. Still divided by a barrier, Morgan watched the two from far above."But of course." Isaac had a sadistic glare to his eyes, "Any curious individual would. I've been able to join a human with several different animals, to little avail, but I've yet to make a humanoid out of itself. The thought hadn't occurred to me of the possibility of creating insectoids...this one is interesting. Far too early to dissect."
  13. "You're annoying me already," Noah grunted, shooting spikes of shadow from right around him, arcing over him to stab Atlas. He quickly backed out of his own shadowy clutches, and away from Atlas. "Who are you? And where are we?" He interrogated the man, sure of not getting a straight answer. "And if you're the one wanting me to get to 104...why block it?"Isaac smiled. "Just about everything here are all chimeras. Genetically engineered, mutated, deformed, or joined Noise. They feel constant pain because of it all, so that explains their endless agony. As for...that, specifically...." Isaac looked at the creature with Trevor, "I have no idea. And until I do, I'd greatly appreciate no word of this spoken to Atlas or the conductor. Atlas will probably release it and hunt it down again, and the conductor...well who knows. He may see it as a forming threat."
  14. "Understood. At least grown, despite any childishness you all have. Except one, of course," Morgan laughed, referring to Mes. She looked ahead to the easily distinguishable mountain far ahead of them. Their supposed 'true destination,' but they had gone the opposite direction just for the oasis. Coming to the easy conclusion that there were other groups, as the voice had referred to people outside of the people here, it was hard to know if they were also all in the desert, or elsewhere, perhaps on the other side of the mountain. Regardless, they were probably behind here in the desert. What could even be awaiting them all once arrived?Having already made about three, Joshua was busy still just yards away from the setup in the meadow, the branches to make them were greatly abundant. Still not the best, but they would work. Couldn't go on without food transportation. There were cloths around back at 'camp' to protect it all from insects and the like, anyway.
  15. "Noise." Isaac replied straightforwardly...as it seemed. "Of sorts...you can watch if you want." Isaac continued down the stairs, dropping the door down loudly, the metal latching as it hit the ground. Among the mutated and genetically engineered chimeras of Noise lied one special though. But it was asleep-- silent...quiet. Even among the agony of the regular Noise.
  16. RoxSox says many things. RoxSox says all
  17. Joshua smiled softly, seeing his plan worked. He imminently sent streams through the grass, leading through them and healing the minor injuries of everyone, including Edgar. The newcomer— the man who passed out was also slowly being healed, but he was a bit afraid. "Th-thanks...S-Sora...." he stuttered upon seeing her start to leave, but turned a bit red seeing that she probably doesn't know him, and yet, he knows her name.
  18. Once done eating, Joshua still looked at the food, then to the rest of the meadow. The environment was easy to be advantageous of. (Hm....) He thought, silently, kicking his legs as he sat. He went off just a few yards away from where they were. This was a practically isolated meadow. Trees have grown and fell innumerably. Joshua sat down again, alone, gathering branches. When he was even younger he had been outside every so often, and learned how to make baskets out of branches and such. Granted, they weren't the best, but did what they were meant to do if you weren't rough with them. Not having anywhere really to conserve or transport food, Joshua began making several baskets for them. Noah glanced away from Robert, giving a momentary, soft, and hardly-noticeable smile. Robert, having said what he did, gave Noah no reason to talk to the group anymore. They had to get going, and Robert said it in a probable nicer way than Noah would have. The smile of his lasted a second, if not less, and then continued eating, knowing no one would be leaving quite yet. "I seem to have been correct in the presumption that my entire group is of grown children." Morgan stated serious as ever. The childishness was by far the most awkward with Derik, even after the coconut scenario. It just...didn't fit. Morgan ate regardless. "Bored...?" Isaac asked Sylar, just entering. He was clearly waiting, but in vain. "If so, you might be even more unless you want to watch one of us. Lira already left, to get a bit if memory 'data' on the meadow group. She wants me to antagonize that desert group and 'robocop' the other." Isaac explained. He opened a metal latch in the cabin, leading underneath. It was sound-proof, as soon as he opened it, all kinds of animalistic screams and screeches pierced the air, soothing him.
  19. "Don't touch me." Noah's first words were spoken, as his shadows erupted again right against Atlas. "You can't determine a man like that." He scoffed, escaping Atlas' grasp but not leaving his sight."Smiling?" Isaac asked Trevor, ignoring his statement. "I can arrange for you to keep that smile for the rest of your life," He began, with a quick laugh. "Regardless...." Agonizing screams echoed behind Isaac and even further below where they stood. "I have new pets for the kids to play with."
  20. From just by the building, Noah's shadow erupted and practically exploded in all directions leaving Noah standing right in front of the barrier, a bit provoked. (How do they expect me to...?) He thought to himself, walking around the barrier in hopes of finding an entrance.Atop the 104 building, Morgan looked down. "How dramatic Atlas is...." She remarked, watching the events transpire. And yet beneath the 104 building, "Players...? Tch, the Game's started." Isaac complaint. "Trevor is the messenger boy this time, right? I heard nothing. I'm tempted to kill the messenger...."
  21. (Morgan is a naturally mysterious character....)"I don't believe that is much of your concern, but regardless, I did tell you that my capabilities exceed that of what you may think. I won't stop you from departing, nor will I join you. I'll just be sure to watch." Morgan smiled innocently again. "Might I remind you, by the way, that just yesterday the person controlling this game directly told you not to leave the group that night. It stands to reason that he or she may or may not do the same now. Just a notice, of sorts." She finished, going away from his direction and to all the food. Her bedroll was already packed, as she did when she awoke.
  22. (Wasn't I just talking to Atlas? )Morgan looked back at Trevor curiously. "Interesting...explain." Morgan told him, looking down as overseer of the Players scurrying around against Noise. Later in the Game, they'd be begging for their actual lives or for their next death...it could be amusing.Noah had already almost arrived at the 104 building. Seeing that they had plenty of time, Yumi and Joshua walked there, holding hands with only each other's company. The people they had passed by were practically not there...or rather, they were, but the two weren't."I personally think it's pretty obvious...." Alexander remarked a bit snarkily. Kasumi elbowed him, he winced but didn't really seem hurt.
  23. Morgan nodded her head in agreement, "Of course, but what 'game' do you have in mind?" She asked, laughing at how it seemed that Atlas was capable of bickering with both Trevor and Isaac."We should go then." Kasumi said, addressing all three around her, but mostly just Alexander and Astro. With any creatures about, it would be better off as a group. A subject to change, but right as of now.
  24. "Oh, my capabilities greatly exceed that of what you think." Morgan smiled, or rather, feigned a smile, as if innocent. "From what you just described...I can certainly surpass them and you. It's a mere matter of will. A mere fight certainly will not get me to use them...and very seldom will I ever...." Morgan, in a sense, teased, and at the same time was serious. "Continue pursuing whatever nonsensical endeavors you were just now...it would be best for me to replenish myself before continuing off into the desert."After getting the small amount of food he did, Joshua went back beside Walter, silently eating, and just starting to listen in the conversations. Walter seemed really friendly, getting along with most of the group already.
  25. Sonitus' bones cracked, his blood boiled, and was covered in gooey, mushy, residue, like a baby born from a fetus. He dropped his feet tot he floor, making a squishing, grotesque sound. Sonitus himself seemed somewhat disgusted. He cracked his neck one last time, "Ahhh, Freed...it's been quite awhile. And for that reason, I must tell you each of the others are in the same slumber I was. They mustn't be disturbed in sleep." Sonitus' eyes traced over, scanning where each of the others are. "Some will awaken sooner than others, and they're all tied with the Noise. Killing those lesser things seem to have the effect of waking us, at times...just as I was...."Shadows erupted again. All around Joshua and Yumi, Noise vanished instantly, dragged away and killed. "...Where...are we...?" He asked Yumi. She shook her head, "I don't know. But we'll be fine...come on." She took his hand and went to look for 104, whatever that may be."No, Atlas, not good hunt. Not yet...." Morgan began, grinning. "Learn thy enemy first. Whatever it is, seems unique. I think you could talk to Isaac about finding out what it is...then...hunt it. Even if you and him have some arguments about hunting or dissecting...."
