  1. (Um, both Jasper and the shield are in the other room of the house now.)
  2. Jasper Jasper nearly face-palmed when Kinzoku created a massive shield big enough to protect all three of them. He was hoping for it to be about the size of a garbage can lid, but it was his fault for not specifying. [Oh well, I'll just need to be accurate so that the entire thing hits the door. And if Kinzoku can carry all of those ingots with her, I should be able to manage maneuvering with just a few of them.] he thought. "Thanks, it's a little big, but it should work." Jasper said to Kinzoku, taking the shield, and stood a few yards in front of the flaming door. [Well, this is probably gonna hurt.] Jasper thought, and jumped into the air, redirecting his body so that it was pointing towards the door, with the shield in front of him, and the bottoms of his feet pointed in the opposite direction. Jasper then mentally activated his pulse boots, causing him to propel like a missile into the door. Fortunately, he managed to smash through the door, unlike the last time he tried that stunt, and was able to use his second mid-air pulse to gently bring him upright and safely land. Jasper dropped the shield, and checked to see if he was injured, but other than some bruising on his arms from having the shield pressed into them, he seemed fine. Well, that and some of his arm hairs were burnt off. But it was worth it. Now that the flaming door was goon, his team mates should have little trouble getting through to the other room. Robert then began to take in his surroundings... Amber [A labyrinth, huh? I wonder what's in there.] Amber thought, not sure whether she would have rather fought the Kamyn or not. Fortunately, it seemed Cornelius had a way to find out which way to go. "Great, in that case lead the way." she said to the researcher.
  3. Jasper "Run where? Didn't you hear the barrier go up around the house?" Jasper told Sanya as his mind raced with possibilities on how to get out of this mess. From the sound of the barrier going up, it seemed running out the front door was out of the question. Thus they had to somehow extinguish the flames, but how? He and Kinzoku certainly couldn't pull that off on their own, and from the sound of it, Sanya couldn't do it without risking the safety of herself and those around her. He then remembered the door the the mysterious other room. Perhaps there was something in there that could help them. Problem was, the door was covered in flames, which meant he needed a plan. Jasper put his hand on one of the tattoos on his arm, summoning his pulse boots. He then turned to Kinzoku, "Kinzoku, I need you to make me a shield with your ingots" he said.
  4. I've learned the best way to await Smash Bros news is to not anticipate anything as far as new characters go. Sakurai seems very intend on surprising people this time around. When it was revealed that there was a new Smash Bros game in the works, plenty of fans speculated on different characters joining the fight. Sakurai responded to this by making one of the first new characters revealed the Wii Fit Trainer, a character virtually no one expected. When the first screenshots of the 3DS Spirit Tracks stage were replaced, showing off Toon Link as the conductor, people assumed he wouldn't be a fighter in the upcoming games. A few months later, Toon Link was revealed to be a returning fighter. When it came to new Pokemon fighters, most people assumed Lucario would be replaced. And you know what? He wasn't. You noticing a pattern here. Sure, Shulk may not be in the upcoming SSB games, but there's still a chance. Just try not to assume certain characters will or won't be fighters. It'll be more enjoyable for you that way.
  5. Amber Sure, Amber was nervous when the Kamyn appeared, but she began to calm down when Drale took the lead. And then Ferro and his stupid artifacts spoke up, "Shut up!" she quietly hissed at the newcomer. By the looks of it, they would need more than just bruit force and insults to get out of this unscathed. Sure, she was willing to fight if she had to, but if Drale could somehow talk some sense into this guy, that would be great, as unlikely as it seemed that diplomacy would work at the moment. So for now, she got down and let the shadow wielder take this one.
  6. Um, quick question MDS. Should we still consider Averain to be a part of Team Silver, or is he MIA?
  7. Amber Before long, Amber alone stood outside of the cave. A part of her wanted to wait a minute before going in and let the others deal with whatever was in there, but that would be the path of a coward, a path she had renounced when she volunteered for this mission. Besides, it was dark in there, and darkness was her specialty. "Hey, wait up guys!" she said, and followed the others into the cave. Jasper "Sheesh, watch it lady!" and irritated Jasper said to Sanya. "I've got two legs, you know, and I'd be happy to use them." Jasper then turned toward Kinzoku, and waited for her to open the envelope.
  8. Clara Clara was busy reading when her communicator began ringing. "Hello?" Clara asked, and realized it was Quint asking for a ride. She didn't like being away from the base when the team who'd just left on a mission could come back any second. However, if Quint was asking, it was probably important, "All right, I'll be there as soon as I can. Be ready to get in as soon as I get there though, I'd like to be back at the base before the others return, in case something goes wrong and they need a medic." Clara said, hung up, and bolted for a gummi ship. Stan and Lee "On it!" Stan said, and pulled out a few smoke bombs. Meanwhile, Lee began hacking. It wasn't exactly his specialty, but it didn't look too hard. "Good. I shouldn't take too long. Just keep me alive until I'm done, and we'll be fine." Lee said.
  9. I have a few systems, but I mostly pay attention to my 3DS and my PC.
  10. Amber "Um, I'm Amber, it's nice to meet you, Ferro." Amber said, contemplating if their new traveling companion was possibly a Kamyn. Either way, it seemed the best course of action would be to just let him tag along, and study his actions. Maybe later she'd or someone else would be able to figure it out. "So... should we get moving?" she asked, glancing at the mysterious cave. Jasper "Good idea, but I've got a pretty crummy sense of smell. You're the animal girl, you smell anything dangerous." Jasper said to Sanya. He didn't think smelling for danger would do much good, they already knew there was danger inside, after all, but if it would help calm one of his teammates down, it was worth a shot.
  11. Amber "Guys, hold on." Amber said to Drale and Sandrew, who looked ready to put the hurt on the stranger who'd just arrived, or at least, Drale did. "Sorry about that, we don't mean you any harm... that is, as long as you don't mean us any harm. What's your name? And what are you doing here?" Amber asked the newcomer. Jasper Jasper nearly fell apart with laughter when he saw Kinzuko skipping alongside him towards what was certainly a trap. [Either this girl has a great sense of humor, or she's insane... or both. Oh well, none of those things could hurt on a crazy mission like this, I guess.] he thought, and soon made his way up to the door. "I'd say lady's first, but considering we could be heading to our deaths, that probably wouldn't be very polite." Jasper said to the two ladies behind him, rolled up his sleeves, opened the door, and stepped inside.
  12. Wow, congrats Daniel. Which section are you moderating?
  13. Amber "Um... thanks." Amber said to Cornelius. So far, he seemed like a nice guy, although a little odd. But that was okay with Amber, she was used to odd. As the gates in front of her opened, Amber hesitantly walked through them behind Sandrew and Cornelus. She may have been afraid, but she knew someone had to stop the Kamyn, and better sooner than later. Suddenly, a storm began to brew, and lightning shot out nearby. [something tells me that, as soon as we stepped through those gates, we became the Kamyn's personal play things.] Amber though. "So... I guess we should get to that cave then, huh?" she said to the rest of the group. Jasper "Well, there's no point just standing here now that we can get going." Jasper said, and walked through the gates. Between the storm brewing and the unusually pleasant looking house before them, it seemed that the Kamyn were waiting for them. Of course, it didn't seem there was any point avoiding the house either. Who knows what the Kamyn would do to them if they did that. And at this point, everyone back home would brand them as cowards and imprison them for turning at the very first sign of trouble. That left them with only one option, "Well then, under the storm and through the gates, to grandmother's house we go." Jasper said in a sarcastically cheery tone, and headed towards the house.
  14. The only character I've somewhat based on myself that I've used more than once is Robert. His personality's relatively similar to mine, as is his appearance. Braxen Hartford, meanwhile, is sort of an opposite of me; loud, outgoing, flirty, and loves to be in the center of the action. All of my other characters are based on what I thought would be interesting characters.
  15. How about Team Silver? I think it would be interesting seeing Ferro and Jasper interact, since their both very attached to their weapons, although for different reasons.
  16. Jasper Jasper looked around and studied his teammates. So far, they seemed like decent people. Kinzoku seemed both kind and competent, which was good. Sanya, on the other hand, he was a little nervous about. It was clear by the look in her eyes that she was in a pretty bad state of depression. He understood that, of course. After his dad was executed by the same people he'd spent his entire life trying to help, he'd been down in the dumps for quite a while. But eventually he found a sense of purpose in putting his powers to good use, and started looking on the up again. Hopefully this mission would Sanya that same sense of purpose, otherwise her depression could slow her down, and thus slow down the team as a whole. And then there was the other guy, who'd yet to speak. Jasper decided to give the guy his space until he was ready to talk. "Nice, it's not every day that you get to see so many people with such versatile powers together. Something tells me this'll be and interesting trip." Jasper said, unsummoned his sword and rolled up both his sleeves, revealing all six of his tattoos. "Each tattoo is actually a magically enchanted object, like my sword. It definitely helps me carry them all, thats for sure." Jasper then rolled down his sleeves, "So, you all ready to climb this bad boy yet?" he asked. Amber Amber relaxed a little when she saw how nervous Sandrew was. It let her know that she wasn't the only one feeling a little bit anxious. She wanted to tell him not to worry, but knew that would be hypocritical of her. She'd never exactly been an optimist. Instead, she decided to answer Cornelius, "Um, yeah, that's pretty much how my powers work. It can make things a little tough sometimes, having trouble controlling my powers, but I've learned to get around it."
  17. Yeah, I agree. I've been the last person to post on the thread, since everyone's afraid to post. Hopefully this problem won't last for too much longer.
  18. Hey, is it just me, or do the powers of the members of the Gold Team have a lot to do with light and darkness?
  19. Amber A chill went down Amber's spine when her teammates began showing off her powers. The last time she used her powers around others when there wasn't anyone to focus her rage on... well, it didn't end well. "My name's Amber. I can cover myself in shadow. I become pretty strong, but... I probably shouldn't do that right now. Maybe later." she said meekly. Jasper Jasper grinned as his teammates began to reveal their powers, even if some of them seemed a little weird. They were all pretty interesting, but what he could do wasn't too shabby either. "Name's Jasper, and I can do this." Jasper said, pulled up one of his sleeves, and toutched his tatoo of a sword. In a flash of light, an impressive longsword appeared in Jasper's hand. "Pretty cool, huh?"
  20. Yup, right on the money. I was thinking about having a female character in this RP, and someone similar to Noire sounded perfect.
  21. Speaking of last minute additions, I think I'll add in another character. Name: Amber Dolor Magic Ability: Can use magic to transform her body into what is known as her shadow form. In her shadow form, her physical abilities are significantly improved, and she can merge with walls and floors, like a shadow. However, while in this form, Amber s filled with rage, and her ability to think and reason is greatly hindered. Backstory: Amber grew up the only daughter of a cruel dark magic user. After her husband died, she dealt with her rage by testing her magical spells out on her daughter Amber. This began when Amber was only six years old. Every day, Amber would wake up in fear of what her mother had planned for her. One day when she was twelve, Amber's mother casted a spell on her that gave Amber her current powers, in order to see if it was same for her to use. However, with the newly found rage and power this form gave her, Amber overpowered her mother, knocking her unconscious, and ran away. For years she fled, until her mother finally gave up on chasing after her. She also has a split personality now. Normally she's rather meek and nervous, but in her shadow form, she's full of rage, and nearly relentless. She's one of those that has volunteered to climb the mountain. Appearance: Medium height with light skin and long white hair (due to an experiment gone wrong years ago), blue eyes, freckles around the face, and a scar across the left side of her neck (a result of yet another experiment gone wrong). She wears a brown leather jacket, white shirt, grey pants, and an old pair of hiking boots. In her dark form, her entire body and all of her cloths are pitch black, except for her eyes, which are a luminous yellow. She also has thin black tendrils of smoke coming from her body. Think Sora's anti form from KH2, and that's pretty much what she looks like. Role: Climber Props to whoever can tell which Fire Emblem Awakening character Amber's based on.
  22. (Hold the phone, I understood that reference!) Stan and Lee Lee pulled out the device Neena gave him and stuck it into what looked like the main computor. Meanwhile, Stan pulled out his great-sword, ready to take down any guards that may come to stop them.
