  1. Liath woke up, listened to Q's monologue, got to his feet, and took in the sights. After deciding that this was a rather uninteresting looking dream, he immediately punched himself in the groin. Liath drooped to his knees, mentally kicking himself for his rashness and stupidity. "Okay, not a dream then." Liath muttered through gritted teeth. Fortunately, he had plenty to think about to distract himself from the pain at the moment. There was so many questioned he wanted answers to here, he nearly fainted. Where was he? Why was this strange city white? Who was this Q person? Who were the other four people here with him? How long would it take before one of them punched him in the face? He was guessing about five minutes on that last one. Either way, he doubted his actions so fave gave the others a good impression of him.
  2. And possibly Liath. I'm not sure yet, but I think it could make for a good ship.
  3. Would gray be too close to silver? Because Liath's pretty much clad in gray clothing, so I'd say that'd be the best color for him.
  4. Braxen "Uh, all right." Braxen said as Leonarda skipped towards an ice cream shop. He was kind of hoping to get down to business, but with all that had happened, maybe it was best for him to take a break and enjoy some ice cream. Stan Stan was admittedly shocked when Hotaru revealed he had a keyblade, but not angry. As Cron warned him not to tell anyone, he nodded his head, "Don't worry, it's fine. I can keep a secret. Between you and me, I actually don't mind keybladers. It's those that abuse their power that I want to stop." with that, Stan jumped into the portal, and joined Hotaru on the other side. "Wait a minute, I've been here before. Isn't this one of the dark worlds?"
  5. The only main FF games I've yet to play are VII and IX, but of those two, I definitely prefer IX.
  6. So MDS, when do you plan on starting the RP?
  7. In the last MDS RP, one of my characters heroically sacrificed herself to save my other character, who had just discovered that the girl he had fallen for was in fact a traitorous murder who planned on axing them all off. He axed her off first, though, coming inches away from dying himself. It was awesome.
  8. Our characters need to fight at some point. A character who can make guns out of almost anything vs. A character who can make monsters out of almost anything
  9. Thanks Yuffie, I felt like Liath from Rising Shadows had some untapped potential, so I decided to bring him back in this RP with a little more detail and nuances. I like your character too, by the way, especially the way you had her main hobby relates to her ability. You know, with their equally strong and repelling personalities, they should be a couple rivals! It'd be fun having the two of them play off of each other. By the way, can someone describe for me what the map looks like? It's coming up as a broken image on my computer.
  10. As Robert gazed around the cottage, he couldn't find anything that could be a danger to them, not that it mattered. If the Watcher wanted to get them, he could, end of story. He just hoped that he and the rest of the group had a chance. "Maybe we should have night watches." Robert suggested to the other three, eager to have some sort of warning just in case the Watcher decided to give them a little midnight surprise, "I can go first." Once Blank had finished patching up his gun, he opened a control panel found on his body, and pulled out a small chip, putting it into his pocket. At the start of the games, before joining the villain cabin, Blank had encountered a lone wanderer in black and grey armor, carrying various gadgets. Blank tried to challenge him, and he put up quite a fight, but Blank went too far and accidentally killed him. Since then, Blank inserted into himself an inhibitor chip, preventing him from fighting at maximum capacity. But now that all of the challengers were working as a team now, he decided it was time to fight again at full strength. Besides, he may need to challenge his cabin mates some day... "It's a pleasure to meat you." Blank said, nodding at his two new associates. He then walked over to and opened a crate, containing the gear Blank had taken from the challenger he'd over-challenged. He took from the box some smoke pellets, a few glue bombs, and a pair of electrical shock gloves. Once it was time to face the others, he would be ready. (Props to whoever can guess who Blank killed.)
  11. Foolish children, Liath is clearly the strongest! Okay, not really. As far as collateral damage and crowd control goes, Liath's you're man. But when it comes to 1x1 duels, he's left pretty vulnerable. However, if Liath gains control of multiple Mr. Its (which may or may not happen later in the story), he'll be a serious force to be reckoned with. For now, he's most effective in a group, when someone can guard him while he's controlling Mr. It. That's understandable, but try not to worry about being inferior. As someone whose first RP was an MDS role play a couple years ago (The Experiment), I understand that thinks can seem a bit complicated and overwhelming, but if you're going to jump into an RP for the first time (I'm assuming you're new to this since I've yet to see you in a role play before, and you seem rather nervous, sorry if I'm mistaken), an MDS RP is the best place I know of to start. He's very good at keeping things on track, and preventing things from getting overly complicated, and if you need help or advice, I'm sure that plenty of us would be happy to help you out.
  12. Name: Liath Smith Ability of Creation: The Incredible Mr. It- Liath is able to mentally control a small floating sphere of energy that he calls Mr. It. Mr. It is able to possess inanimate objects, as well as certain organisms, such as plants, transforming them into dangerous creatures, usually of giant size. For example, if Mr. It possesses a car, it becomes something akin to a transformer. But if Mr. It possessed a tree, it transforms into a creature similar to an ent from Lord of the Rings. The energy sphere can also go into Liath, granting him superhuman levels of durability, although it offers no direct physical advantage this way. Also, Liath's inner lonliness manifests itself in Mr. It, causing him to think he's able to mentally talk with the sphere, when in fact he's conversing with his own split personality. It's ironic, really, that a man obsessed with figuring out mysteries, isn't aware of his own deepest secret. Age: 19 Gender: Male Appearance: 6'3" with medium length brown hair, blue eyes, light skin, and a long, thin nose. Wears an old grey trench coat with a white button up shirt and black bow tie. Also wears thin, wire-frame glasses, a grey flat cap, grey pants, and black shoes. Personality: Liath is obsessed with finding the truth and uncovering mysteries, be them large or small. He tends to see people more as mysteries for him to uncover than actual people. He also has a love for justice, although this doesn't take priority over his endless search for truth and secrets. He's very good at reading people and sizing up situations, but between his insatiable curiosity about everyone and his generally low capacity for empathy, Liath tends to make pretty poor first impressions on people. This makes it very hard for him to make friends, causing Liath to often feel rather lonely, not that many can tell due to his eccentric and enigmatic demeanor. Background: When Liath was still a child, his dad was murdered in an alleyway. Furious that the police couldn't discover the identity of the murderer and bring him to justice, Liath took things into his own hands, and discovered who murdered his father. He gathered the necessary evidence, showed it to the police, and the killer was caught and sent to prison two weeks before Liath's eleventh birthday. Ever since then, Liath's been obsessed with solving mysteries and uncovering secrets everywhere he went.
  13. Another MDS RP? I'll probably post my sign up sheet tonight.
  14. "I'm ready... more or less." Cap said, drawing his pistols. He couldn't be certain, but NeverBetter seemed a bit... nervous, which was a bad sign coming from him. Did he doubt if they could do this? If so, their leader certainly didn't show it.
  15. "Don't worry boss, I took care of it." Cap said, carrying a bag of sub sandwiches for when the group got hungry in one hand, and a med kit in the other. Clasped to his side was a compass, a map, and a canteen. "So, are we ready?" the cyborg asked. He didn't like the sound of this mission, so he poured particular care into packing for the trip, just in case something went wrong.
  16. "Good to see you're not dead Rija." Robert said, meaning it. He was still worried about Noah and the others, but at least three of his comrades were still with him. "So, anything interesting happen on your end?" he asked the soldier. Blank nodded, "Ah, I see." he said, cleaning and repairing his weapon. It wouldn't do for him to leave an energy trail to his whereabouts by accident, now would it? "In the meantime, I'll be watching the monitors. It will likely prove useful to learn the others personalities and strategies." he then pulled up a chair in front of the video screens, and sat down.
  17. Sensing that there was something up with Yeul, Liath decided that the others would catch up shortly, and joined her in the hallway. Is there a problem, Yeul?" he asked.
  18. "Oh dear, I was afraid this might happen." Liath said, angry at himself for waking up late. Fortunately for him, he'd chosen to change before bed, so all it took was for him to comb his hair, toss a couple of breath mints into his mouth, apply some deodorant from underneath his shirt, and put on a few extra articles of clothing, such as his shoes and favorite hat, and he was ready to go. "Well then, since we're a team and all that, we should probably all head into class together. Just let me know when you're ready, and we'll depart." said Liath, hoping that his team would hurry up so they wouldn't be the last team left. Meanwhile, Elm sat towards the front of the classroom, watching some of the other students take their seats, and hoping that the rest of his team was on their way. Having spent much of the past few years in the wilds with his father, he was used to waking up at sunrise, and had been awake for the past hour and a half. Come to think of it, perhaps he should have stayed in the room and waited for the rest of his team to wake up and get ready before leaving for class...
  19. "Ah, here we are ladies." Liath said, unlocking the door to team LYME's room. If you all don't mind, I'll be taking the bed over there." Liath then placed his luggage in a corner and jumped onto the top bunk closest to the door. Normally, he wouldn't care which of the four beds was his, but so many young women in the same room with him, he wanted to have a more defensible position in case any of them got a little... frisky. "I'll take the other bottom bunk." Elm said, found a place to set down his bags, and walked over to one of the beds. He then removed the sheets, mattress, and boards supporting the mattress, before placing them in a corner. "Ah, much better." he said, unrolling his sleeping bag and placing it right below were the mattress used to be.
  20. Liath "All in good time Miss Esme." Liath said, feeling like a kid in a candy store. Here he was hoping for some interesting mysteries to discover, and ended up the leader of three mysteries wrapped in enigmas. There was Magenta, who had her own second personality, eye color change included. There was Esme, who was given her own personal supervisor for some reason. And then there was Yeul, who to be honest, Liath just couldn't figure out just yet. Surely shedding light on these mysteries would keep him stimulated for at least a couple of weeks, perhaps even longer! Containing his excitement, Liath addressed his team, "Well ladies, we'll have plenty of time to get to know each other, but for now, we should get to our room." Liath said, and headed towards the dorms, expecting the others to following him. Elm "Name's Elm, nice to meet you. Don't be an idiot, jerk, or spoiled brat, and I'm sure we'll get along just fine." Elm said, giving Cho a firm handshake after Fucia was done talking. "I agree with Fucia, we should head to our rooms. I have a couple of book chapters I'd like to complete before bed, if you don't mind."
  21. "Excellent." Liath, not sounding the least bit surprised about being a team leader, even though he was. Sure, he made for a great lone wolf, but people skills weren't exactly... good. [Oh well,] he thought, [i'll just figure things out as I go.] "Well, It's been a pleasure to meet you miss, even though you might not feel the same. I'd like to continue our conversation, but I'm afraid I have a team to get to know at the moment." Liath said to Varidiem, and looked around for his teammates. "Greetings to you both. My name is Liath, although I'm sure you've already deduced that. Hopefully we'll make a good team." Liath said to Yeul and Magenta/Pullo, before just addressing Yeul, "And don't worry, if things get too dangerous, I'm sure we can find some nice fluffy bunnies for you to chase instead." Liath replied in an equally mocking tone just used by Yuel. He then glanced at Magenta. He didn't know how she gained her split personality, or how this would affect the team as a whole, but one thing was clear; she was definitely a mystery worth solving. Elm, meanwhile, had mixed feelings about his new team. On one hand, he'd been teamed up with Olivia, but on the other hand, he'd been teamed up with Fuchsia as well. And then there was Cho. He wasn't sure what to make of this guy yet, but he didn't come off as a kind, law aviding citizen. That said, only time would tell for sure. "Sorry man, but it looks like you're stuck in charge." he said to Cho.
  22. Sorry about that, welcome to the villain league. We hope you enjoy your stay. That is, unless you get in our way, in which case, we may kill you.
