I'd prefer this over a 3DS remake in the X and Y style. X and Y is just throwing all I've come to expect of Pokémon (graphics wise) away to go 3D. Remaking Hoenn in 3D would ruin the appeal of the games for me. A new region in 3D, I can accept, but an old region in full 3D, no thanks. If it's gonna go 3D for a Gen III remake, then I hope they go with Pokémon Colusseum and , then add more Pokémon in so we have the entire Hoenn Dex.

Even the company is aware of how ridiculous this is. Have you noticed that nowhere in the games, manga, nor anime does it say "Gotta Catch 'em all!" Anymore?

Yes, because remaking the modern generation (III) would lead to remaking IV and remaking the remakes (FR/LG,HG/SS)
