i suppose rebooting it could be fun, getting some new participants in would be interesting. im fine with waiting for a bit to reboot it if you guys want.

(Optional) Native language: English. PHYSICAL APPEARANCE: Tall and lanky, with short, brown hair that slopes off his head. Green eyes, and otherwise unremarkable features. Personality: somewhat timid, kept to himself most of his childhood. Highly sensitive and emotional. He cares deeply for people, and sometimes his intense emotional flares can get him into trouble. His timidness as a child has left him pretty quiet as he transitions into adulthood. Likes: Food, video games, and rock music. Dislikes: Rain, mean people. Talents/skills: fighting games, Bo Staff fighting, pretty skilled with technology. BACKSTORY: When Dev was young, he was very introverted by nature. He had his few friends, but never really tried to get new ones. when he was in middle school, he had an android teacher who left a very profound impact on him. the teacher once kept Dev after class to tell him that he thought Dev had real potential as a student, and that he was sure Dev could do whatever he set his mind to. This motivated Devin, and by the time he was in high school, he was taking classes in computer science and robotics to pursue his dream of becoming a robotic scientist, in the hopes of improving the capabilities of androids and advancing society. Late in his high school experience he took up Bo Staff fighting as a way to vent his frustrations and build his confidence. this allowed him to branch out some socially. He continued to pursue his dream in college as he was accepted into the robotics program at the school of his choice. He kept up with his Bo Staff training as well as his studies. He was studying when he got the news of the vat explosion. Pretty soon he got word of the virus spreading across his campus and fled to safety, with hopes to find a cure to the virus to set the advancement of robotics back on the right track.

i dont really know anything about c other than the fact that all the strings are char arrays.

Ken munched on the toast, and said "No, i dont think they'll come out this far. They probably looked around the area where we got out and then told the sentries to watch for us, but i dont think they'd keep up the search for this long. I think were safe." He shoved the last bit of toast in his mouth and washed the peanut butter down with a swig of water. "Here, you must be thirsty." He held the canteen out to Ani.

When Ken opened his eyes, he saw Ani looking up at him with a caring look in his young eyes, his hands up to his face. Ken smiled. "Thanks buddy. I appreciate that." He stood up and shook his head to get himself righted. He clapped his hands together. "Okay! time to get some food in us." He looked around to see what he had. There was some bread and some peanut butter, as far as breakfast food went. "Peanut butter toast it is." He grabbed the food, some wood, the trusty campfire stove he found in the rubble of a strip mall, the flint, and marched out back. He knelt down to start the fire, and said "Thank god for peanut butter. Non-perishable protein." Protein was the hardest thing to find, and really important in keeping your energy up. He crisped up the bread as best he could, and spread some peanut butter on it. He held a piece out to Ani. "Here ya go, friendo. Sorry its not much, we'll find something good for later." He munched on his own peanut butter toast. wonder what we should to today. he thought.

i agree we should move on regardless of how we feel, but i want to point out that even though we couldnt hear his voice, the word he used clearly convey his intent, at least in my estimation.

I agree that its not a big deal that he dosent like KH. people dont have to, it dosent make them bad, i just think that the way he did it was just begging for anger. he didnt phrase that tweet in a way that got his point across in a civil manner - he purposefully insulted KH, and i think people are allowed to get mad when something they love is insulted. do i think getting angry and yelling at his is constructive? no way. but i understand why. if he had said "i just dont really like the kingdom hearts series" and people we attacking him, then i'd be like 'guys, its okay, not everyone likes KH, its fine. dont get mad at him, he did nothing wrong.' but he did do something wrong, he insulted a group of people for no good reason. i dont know if this gets my point acrross well, i assure you that try to be as level headed and fair as possible, but i cant stand when people say things just to hurt/irritate/anger people. it makes me mad.

I feel like i need a change of avatar, but i've been simon for so long that i cant imagine having something different. Any ideas?

"Alright Ani. You can lay down on that mat right over there and get some rest." once Ani had laid down, he walked up next to the makeshift bed and sat down. he figured he'd just sit up against the wall and think for a while. a lot had happened that day, and he was yet to process it all. sara was dead, and now he was in the company of some young kid he barley knew. It wasnt like he didnt know how to make it along side another person, he had done it with his girlfriend for a while, but he worried a bit if ani could keep up. after all, he was still very young. but Ken couldnt just leave him. Ani probably wouldnt make it long if he did, especially not if he just lost his parents. Besides. ani seemed like a good kid. Ken decided some companionship was a good thing, especially after he just lost sara. sara. for the first time since the attack, the thought of sara caused him real pain. he winced when her smiling face fought his way into his thoughts. He cried a bit then, and few tears rolled down his cheek. she was the morning light in this long night of pain that was this city. He looked over at Ani. There was his new light. he would guide this kid through the nightmare they shared until morning light shined. and as that hopeful thought crossed his mind, he whispered "Goodnight bud" and then he nodded off.

*pops up from a pile of college textbooks* Hey guys! I'm not dead I swear! *computer science text book grabs me by the collar and pulls me back down*

Ken thought about his question. "Hmm, im not sure, ive never been shot before. it didnt seem that deep, so i think it'll clot rather quickly. Hopefully itll be done pretty soon." He turned left into the city, and after a block or two he came across the building he occupied. He went inside and on the first floor was his stash. "Here we are buddy. Give me a second to see if theres anything we need very urgently i'll have to go get it, but other than that we can just rest tonight."

"Well then. Onward and Upward, as they say. I live off thataway." With that, he started walking. He didnt know the pace he would be moving at, he was a bit winded, but his adrenaline was still pumping. He just escaped a Gang compound. That's quite a feat ,or so hed been told.

As Ani jumped off, Ken put his arms out. He was glad Ani decided to come with him. he was a little worried he would go back and try to hide or something like that. AS he fell, Ken felt a little happy. Living in the wasteland of a city this was was lonley. having Ani around whould be good for him. Ani approached Kens arms, Kenji adjusted, and felt Ani's weight suddenly drop into his arms. "Oof, i gotcha, i gotcha." He let Ani down onto is own legs. "There, that wasnt too bad, was it?" Ken said with a small grin.

Ani was hesitant to hop down. "Come on buddy, youll be fine. Ill catch you." Ken didnt want to just leave Ani there, he'd never make it. But he didnt have much time before the gang caught up with them.

"Well, I guess I'll get my bearings and try to get back to where my supplies are. After that, I don't know. You can stay with me if you want, I could use the company." He got a running start at the wall, ran half way up, used his traction and leaped to the top. Once there he let his feet hang off so he could reach down and pull Ani up. He hoisted his new buddy up to the top, and then hopped down himself. "Come on down man."
