Yes it is. When i first started participating in forums i was on khinsider and kh vids.net. Stayed on those for a bit before coming here. I like this forum and the people who respond on it better than those other two. Though i havent been on them in a while so who knows, they might have got better by now.

Lazy afternoons is the twilight town theme from Roxas time in KH2. Roxas theme I think is just 'Roxas'.

With or without voice in it, it doesn't matter. Yes... My best friend Torrie was killed in a car crash a few weeks before she was supposed to start college, she was 18. Macy, 5 yrs old, and James 3 yrs old, were two kids I once babysat who were kidnapped then murdered by their dad. My Grandma Caroline died of lung cancer. And my Grandma Euza died of old age. People say time makes things like this easier, that it helps you move on. But in truth there is no moving on, there is no closure. There's just living with them gone, and remembering who they were and what they meant to you. You keep them alive in your memory of your time together, and be thankful for the joy they gave you while in your life. Hi all. I will be going to Disney World in about a week and I was wondering if anyone has been recently and seen ANY KH Merch for sale. I know KH stuff is scarce to nonexistent in Disney stores, but I have heard tell through the internet that there are some hidden pins that you can find if you look hard enough. Anybody been there recently who can confirm or deny this??

Oi vei, i dont know if it is a good or bad thing how much time i spend researching stuff of KH. I just spent 2 hours trying to get down to the date the time line of kh1, Com, Days, to the start of KH2....

Ok, I finished the Days Manga a little while back and there is something I think needs discussed. Something that simultaneously gives me the feels and the creeps. In volume 2, Chapter 11: Sweet Hearts, on day 97, Roxas and Xion suggest to Axel something. They ask him if he would like to live with them when they complete Kingdom Heart. "Live together" is the quote. At first I was like, "Awwwww, how sweet<3" but that quickly changed to, "WAIT A SEC?! What the-!" Why? I remembered their ages. Roxas and Xion (who is chronologically less than a yr but acts like Soras age) is about 15. And Axel, assuming his birthday was January first (the date I give all characters whose birthdays aren't said) he would be roughly 25! Uhh....yeah. While I believe that their friendship is nothing more than just friendship and they don't look at each other in a romantic way, it creeps me out just a tinsey bit at the thought of a 25 yr old agreeing to live as room mates with a couple of 15 year olds. At first I thought it meant live like, around each other, like be neighbors, but it says "live TOGETHER". But I guess it could be argued that Roxas and Xion are developmentally older. Like, life exp has aged them older than their chronological age. I mean, by the end of the game, it cannot be doubted that they have mentally aged at least a few years. But then again, their age still shows through especially when angry or confused. Also, I am 20 years old and the thought of living a roommate 5 years younger than me is just unthinkable. The average 15 year old doesn't need a roommate they need a parent. If that is Axels thought going into this, that he would take care of them...I guess that would be better, maybe? I mean, lets say they completed Kingdom Hearts and got hearts of their own (for arguments sake just go with it, and xion gets one too). Axel is technically old enough to be their legal guardian, and Roxas and Xion would have to go to school as sophomore high school students. If they lived together, I imagine Roxas and Xion would want normal lives and be going to school. And Axel presumably would be working and maybe going to school as well while looking out for Roxas and Xion. Being if not a parent figure than an older brother guardian figure. That is really the only scenario I can picture and not have the creeps sneak up on me. What do you guys think of this?

Lets see....I have All but one of the original English manga, all of the Days manga A starter pack of the TCG 3 of the Japanese novels The English novel The kh 1.5 limited edition And that's it. I have just recently started collecting stuff and hope to expand it but all that stuff can get expensive over time.

haha! Yes, yes he is! All of those are based on official pins and I could not find a sea salt ice cream pin- go figure. So I figured, if I were Roxas at the pin store and discovered this fact, I would probably choose the mickey mouse ice cream as a 2nd pick.

I'm leaving for Navy boot camp in about a month, and as one last horah my sister and I are going to Disney World in a week. This lead to the musing of my favorite trio going to Disney and having a great time, which led to this drawing! This is Axel, Roxas and Xion at Disney infront of the entrance to the Magic Kingdom. I am super proud of it and I would love to hear any opinions or advice on it for my future drawings! This is only my 2nd attempt at fan art, and my first attempt at drawing Lea (I just named him Axel to be silly cause everyone calls him axel even though he is lea, please do not remind me I know) This is supposed to be them like having their picture taken in Disney. So what do you think? I hope you all get the little references I put in there! Nothing about this picture is unintentional! Guess if you want I want to see if you get them all! I think it is fascinating that Riku chose not telling Roxas anything when he was in the virtual Twilight Town as the best choice. I mean, it really come down to a very philosophical debate. Its like: Would you rather be blissfully ignorant of your imminent death at the end of the week at the hands of someone you don't know for a cause no one will tell you about? Or Would you rather be told that you're going to die and told for what reason and what cause? Ok I know roxas didn't die but it sounded better for the example I mean, Roxas was going to find out that he was going to disappear when the time came regardless. Lets say Axel never found a way into the virtual Twilight Town. Lets say he never got to even talk to Roxas before he disappeared. Roxas lived out his happy last days of summer, having weird dreams, doing his homework and hanging out with his friends. Then, at the end, he is taken to Sora, and forced to return (and as far as he would be able to tell at that point, he was going to die) and not told what was going on. Do you honestly, truly believe that that would be better? Imagine how scared he would be, how confused and angry. He would think that he is going to die at the hands of some psycho for no reason! That...that actually is really scary to imagine that happening to someone. If I was in Roxas situation, if I was doomed to die for a cause, even if I couldn't change my fate, I would most definitely want to know why this was happening to me. I think I, and Roxas would deserve that much. But that is just me, if you think the blissful ignorance is better that's fine. But I think from how Roxas acted in KH2, he wouldve wanted to be told.

Im sorry if I came on a little intense there. But I have had in the past so many of these kinds of threads turned into a character or story bashing flame war (especially when xion is mentioned) that when you mentioned things like xion being unimportant and ect I was like "NOPE, not again. Laying down the law." I would just really like to have this discussion without it getting derailed like that for once is all.

No, no it is not.

I like to analyze stories and characters and have conversations about them, what can I say. But they had a lot of options on how they would tackle how Riku would react to the new puppet. They could've had him to be hunting Xion and Roxas the entire time, or have an epic battle against the two of them and have Riku strike Xion down, retreat to TWTNW, have Roxas follow him there and have their battle then. They had options as to what they could do to land in that final battle. But they had already set up that Riku had history with another puppet, and had shown pity and sympathy towards it. It wouldn't have made much sense for Riku to turn around in Days and hate Xion to his very core and strike her down in rage. That wouldn't make sense with what had been previously established with his character. Character emotions, character opinions, and prejudices have to line up with their actions or it wont make much sense in the story-leading to a whole other slew of continuity problems. This is story making 101. I expect they have some very good story concept people who know all this on staff creating the scripts, and stories and most importantly, how the characters interact on screen. When you make a story, you have to assume that people will look at it critically and ask why characters did certain things. Nothing (at least nothing done by good writers) is done willy nilly and half hazard. All the pieces have to line up, so I refuse to believe that the writers didn't examine how their characters actions related to their characters 'look deep' into what they were creating. Call the KH story creators work what you want, but nothing they did in this story is half hazard. This story-when looked at in entirety- is very tightly written and well done. They aren't hacks who do things at random and with out reason.

This is a thread about analyzing the story as presented, if you don't have any comments pertaining to the topic at hand, please do NOT post things in attempt to derail the conversation. Now, do either of you have any comments on your critical examination of Rikus motivations in this game? If not, I respectfully ask you to leave this thread.

I was going for a more metaphysical reading of what Riku is doing. Not really looking at what the developers intentions were, or they had to do it because it was canon. I meant a more, "Lets analyze this characters motivations, reasoning, and thought processes for why he chose a certain action over another equally viable option." This thread isn't about the game, its about critically reading the story the game presented as is, in tact, authorial intent thrown out.
