  1. Honestly, they can just make up any reason to include any world if they really want to. Remember when they wrote a whole time travel subplot just for Steamboat Willie?
  2. Today I did my taxes, registered to vote, and performed the infinite bolt glitch in Ratchet & Clank. I am the paragon of adulthood.
  3. God, I hope not. I'm so sick of FF characters being railroaded into Olympus Coliseum, they have nothing to do with Hercules and they don't fit at all. When they show up in original worlds like Traverse Town and Hollow Bastion, it's fine, and I hope whoever they add will be in one of those, not a Disney world.
  4. Just today I tried playing my PS3 for old time's sake, and oh my god the PS4 is so much better. I never realized how slow the PS3 was before! Booting up, checking PSN, checking my trophies, loading games, it all takes so much less time on the PS4, Plus, the ability to download and install updates automatically while the system is in rest mode is a godsend; I had to wait 20 minutes for my PS3 to update just to go online. All that and the Dualshock 4 fits so much better in my hands, and the record function is super rad. Yeah, current gen is great.
  5. I just think there were more creative options than so many sword wielding characters from the same series, and it's a shame that we won't get a chance to see any of those possible options until the next game. They had a lot to work with in Nintendo's library, and I hate to feel like they squandered some of it.
  6. All the petty demons trying to break me in two, I was born stronger than any of you.
  7. much of the same thing. There's already plenty of variety in the game, but dammit I want MORE.
  8. Problem is most sword characters come from Fire Emblem, a series that has a lot of different classes, and every single one is a swordsman. Robin and Corrin at least have different abilities which is great, but Lucina, Marth, and Roy could all be the same character as far as I can tell. Ike is okay and honestly my favorite FE guy because the games needs more heavy characters, but then there's Cloud, two versions of Link, and Shulk (who I do think plays the best), and it just feels like so...
  9. Other than there being like three more swordsman characters than there needed to be, I agree. There could be more recent Nintendo characters (The Inklings would fit so well!) but overall it's really impressive. Also I think Bayonetta is a great choice, she fits right into the Skin-tight Pants & Great Ass Club right up there with Samus and Captain Falcon.
  10. There's a good chance that when the other new Lego Star Wars games are released they'll be bundled together, or they'll at least be cheap enough to buy them all at the same time. Lego Force Awakens is more for people like me who don't want to wait three more years to play all three main movie games back to back.
  11. No, I'd rather not wait minimum three extra years to play a new Lego Star Wars game. That's hardly "a bit more". If it were a cash-in, it would have come by now, not late June, and no offense to The Hobbit, but Star Wars is a much bigger and more beloved franchise, and can easily make much more money. Hell, they made a Lego game based on The Clone Wars, and I don't know anyone who was clamoring for that. You're also assuming that they're going to just make the new movies into DLC; why can't they make new games for them? I'm willing to pay for them, as long as they keep up the same level of quality Lego games usually do, and there's no reason yet to think they wouldn't. Also, what do you mean by "another comedy for the kiddies"? I really enjoy the humor in Lego games, and so do plenty of other adults. Just because it's kid friendly doesn't mean it's childish. You'd think someone posting on a Kingdom Hearts forum of all places would understand that.
  12. Oh, cool, I didn't even know they were adding pre-movie content! If I were to guess, it'll probably be based on all the new canon novels that came out before The Force Awakens, since that's actually official Disney media. Yeah, they should've waited until 2019 for a movie tie-in game. That's just good business. Seriously, there's plenty of interesting settings from Ep. VII alone to make a full game out of, let alone including any post Return of the Jedi content. Also, have you played any Lego movie games before? They tend to do the movies justice pretty well, especially since recently they've been using actual movie audio for the games. The only real difference is usually making it sillier (saying they're "censoring things" is incorrect and cheapens the concept of censoring), mostly by adding more visual gags. And if there's one thing The Force Awakens needs more of, it's slapstick.
  13. It's about friggin' time, I've been waiting for this since Ep. VII was announced. Anyone else hyped?
  14. I like how it sounds like exactly the polar opposite of Teen Titans Go!- all the cool action stuff that make super heroes awesome, none of the down time. Also, noooooooo, Clancy Brown was the best Luthor! James Woods is great and all, but Clancy Brown was perfect, I can't believe they couldn't/didn't get him back. I'm so bummed.
  15. Well yeah, that is part of it, but also it's just a nice stylistic choice. It's great for making things look cartoony or comic book-ish (a big reason Telltale Games uses it for their games) so it's perfect for these games based on Transformers or TMNT. Even big budget games like Borderlands, Wind Waker and a staggering amount of Dragon Ball games use cel shading to really good effect, so it's more than just because it's cheap and easy.
  16. Very much so for Days. That game tried a lot of new and unique things and failed on pretty much every front in my opinion. It's a clunky mess, and it could really use a decent remake. Re:Coded is actually a good game with decent controls and mechanics, so it really doesn't need a remake (though a port wouldn't hurt).
  17. I would literally pay a million dollars for Dr. Eggman's sweet metal pants mech from SA2.
  18. I was honestly expecting this to be a joke about a Fallout 3 character. Instead I was greeted with actual news. BOOOOOOO.
  19. I feel almost exactly the same, except switch Super with Sticker Star. At least Sticker Star was a kind of turn based RPG like the first two and required timing and skill to play well. Super Paper Mario was a mediocre platformer with the occasional poorly implemented motion controls and unnecessary RPG elements. One of the worst Wii games from Nintendo, in my opinion. Regardless of how we feel about those games though, I think we can all agree the whenever the next Paper Mario game is happening, it should definitely be more like the first two, because those were rad.
  20. The North American box art for Pokken Tournament looks so much cooler than it has any right to.
  21. Agreed. The entire Overclocking system was really modifiable and opened up a level of mid-fight strategy most KH games don't have. (Plus, I have a soft spot for Zero/One and how stupidly ridiculous Targeting Scope is.)
  22. Took the words out of my mouth. (Also those two games are probably the main reason I bought a PS4.)
  23. Yeah. I saw it on Netflix a while back. It's good, and I like a lot of the themes it covers, and it's fairly trippy a lot of the time which I love, but the "twist" that is just so ridiculously cheesy and cliched. Plus the movie feels like it drags on forever, due there being like a dozen divergent storylines packed into almost two and a half hours. Still good though, and Jared Leto's great in it.
  24. Yeah, that would be pretty nice. It'd be best I think to have him only appear when he's firetrucking shit up, like Jaws but instead of a shark it's a magic space cyborg swordsman.
