Square Enix has just announced their lineup for Gamescom 2016, and among the titles listed is Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue. Gamescom will be held from August 19th - August 21st in Cologne, Germany. For anyone hoping to attend, you can visit the main Square Enix booth (Hall 9, B31/B41) to play the demo. Both the remastered version of Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance and Birth by Sleep 0.2 -A Fragmentary Passage- will be playable. Are any of you planning on attending Gamescom 2016? Square Enix recently updated their job opportunities in the career section of their website, and some of these new listings are for positions on the Osaka team of Square Enix Business Division 3, which is the team currently working on Kingdom Hearts III. We previously reported on the majority of the listings found on the site, but four new positions on the Kingdom Hearts team have opened up. The titles of the positions and brief descriptions of the jobs are listed below, thanks to R Kane. Interesting to note is the role of the Lighting Artist, which hints at a role in post-production. The international version of Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ has two new medal deals to offer its players. The first is titled the Big Mighty Deal. Three times a day during the campaign period, this deal guarantees 2 6-star medals, with 3 special attack orbs filled, making it half-way to being guilted. The non-6-star medals in the pull also have a slight chance to have anywhere between 0-3 orbs filled as well. The Big Mighty Deal also comes with 3 Cid medals. This pull costs 3000 jewels. The second medal deal is titled the Mini Mighty Deal. This deal guarantees 1 6-star medal that has three special attack orbs filled. Just like the Big Mighty Deal, the other medals in the pull also have a random chance of having their special attack orbs filled 0-3 times. There is no limit to the amount of times you pull from the mini deal during the campaign period. This pull costs 1500 jewels.

From 7/8 - 7/14, a new event quest is available called the High Score Challenge. In this quest, you are tasked with racking up as many points as possible by killing tough enemies and dealing lots of damage. Note: You must complete the quest (aka defeat the target enemy) to register a high score. You earn higher scores by defeating the tougher enemies, and also through using one or several of the Score Bonus Medals. Equipping these medals will grant you score bonuses that add to your total score. Rewards for getting high scores include Huey, Dewey and Louie medals, Chip and Dale Medals, Magic Mirror Medals, and brand new Shadow Heartless and Darkside attack medals. The event will include a ranking system, and based on how high you rank, your rewards will be better. There are also separate rewards for simply gaining higher scores, which you will receive after completing the quest. Best of luck in this event!

The Epic Medal Carnival is back in Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ and along with it comes 5 brand new medals. They are: Illustrated Cloud, KH Kairi, Musketeer Goofy, Musketeer Donald, and Musketeer Mickey. The 10-medal draw guarantees 2 5-star medals, one of which is guaranteed to be one of the five listed above. These 5 medals can also grant special bonuses during the new High Score Challenge event going on from 7/8-7/14. In addition to 10-medal draws, previous super rare medals such as Pooh and Piglet, Sephiroth, Sora & Pals, and Sora & Donald & Goofy can now be obtained in the Daily Deals and Small Deals. Also, if you pull from this Epic Medal Carnival 9 times without getting the Illustrated Cloud medal, you will be guaranteed an Illustrated Cloud on your 10th pull. If you're talking about special attacks, in your Medal List, tap a medal you're curious about and look at the picture next to the name of the attack. If the icon is just a little explosion thing, it's a single target. If it's a little explosion with two "swooshes" next to it, it will hit all enemies. Hope this helps. I'm too lazy to look for pictures lol

This is an important story update, seeing as it continues the story in Daybreak Town and introduces a new character to the Kingdom Hearts series: Ephemera. From now until 7/11/16, you can take a survey about your experience playing Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ and earn 600 jewels upon completing the survey. It is important that you take note of your player ID number before taking the survey, because that is how they will know to send you your jewels. To take the survey, open the app, check the notice regarding the survey, and scroll until you see a button that says "Take the Survey!". It will redirect you to the survey. The jewels will be delivered on or around July 13th.
