    Personally I don't mind. KH2 was the last dubbed game in the series, and that was like 12 years ago. So I've pretty much gotten used to the English voices and even prefer them. But not just that, it actually has gotten pretty common with most games nowadays to have no dubs, except for the English one, and I'm fine with that. The German dub is rather cringy most of the times so I don't need it

    Well, unless Nomura or anyone else from Square Enix gives us an explanation on that there will never be a real truth. Ansem could have followed his own plans, or maybe opening the door that lead to the heart of all worlds was part of Xehanort's plan, for whatever reason. There is no wrong or right in this scenario because it's fact that Ansem's actions got retconned, so you can come up with your own solution for it to still make any sense.

    One word: Retcon. None of the events of BBS and further games in the series were even planned when KH1 came out. Ansem SoD's original plan was to reach Kingdom Hearts. Later on it got retconned to him gathering the 7 lights. Same goes for Xemnas btw. Nowhere in the game does it state that he looks for vessels, he even wanted to get a Sora puppet (Xion) to get the Keyblade and to gather more hearts. Cause again, original goal: reaching Kingom Hearts. Retconned to: gathering the 13 darknesses. All in all we can say, Nomura is not the best when it comes to planning ahead

    People get way too hung up on original VA's for KH3 imo. I mean if the VA is doing a good job who cares if it's the original or not? At least we should give them a fair chance.

      It's just like what happened to Ansem in KH1, Billy Zane had a great voice for the character IMO, then he no longer reprised his role and Ansem had Richard Epcar for the rest of the series. The difference in acting and voice is notable but I managed to grow both voices in my memory and I like them both. I'm not whining over it as if the game was totally ruined by it, it's up to everyone to let these small details be an obstacle for their experience.

      Yeah agreed. I've seen a lot of people mostly complain about Woody's VA in the recent footage just because he sounds too different from the original VA. People even called the voice trash, which I think is very disrespectful to the VA. I'd rather have someone who knows what they're doing and how to voice act a character properly than someone who's bad at it but whose voice sounds more similar.

      Tbh, for me, I didn't mind the VA's voice for Woody after I got used to it. That being said, I didn't like his delivery of the lines so that's why I didn't like him.

    Understandable. I also was determined to finish it at least once, but in the end only managed to finish Sora's part. Also never do the chronological order for your first real playthrough. It's always better to do the order of their release dates, especially with Kingdom Hearts. Or else you won't get quite a lot of references. Either way have fun! I would love to be able to play the whole series for the first time again

    Huh, never knew about those bonus cards Personally I don't think you need those, I beat Re:CoM without any of them and was just fine. I'd also agree with your list and say finishing Re:CoM first is the better choice. Not because you need to have it played before Days necessarily but because you should have played at least KH2 before watching Days. Otherwise it will be super confusing. About your second question, I hated the game mechanics of Re:CoM So I don't really have any advice, I sucked at those cards. Personally I would say skip the game and just watch a collection of the cutscenes on youtube, cause those are the best part of it, but that's your choice.
