  1. So are there any spoilers in the review, or can I share this with people who want to stay spoiler-free?
  2. I'm a big fan of II's. It has a clear direction and doesn't come across as a collection of random scenes (like BBS) or static (like I's). Also, best song "Sanctuary" plays during it. (Nothing against "Simple and Clean", I just think "Sanctuary" fits the series better.) Dream Drop Distance also has a pretty good opening cinematic, but II still edges out for me.
  3. I'm just gonna download the game. I have a wonky schedule due to when I work, so picking up a physical copy at a midnight release is a no-go. At least I was able to arrange for a personal day so I can just stay home and marathon the game for like 16 hours.
  4. Sea Salt Trio is best trio. They're the best developed characters with the best developed friendship starring in the game with the best narrative. I hope III treats them well.
  5. Olympus is pretty fun. Action commands and Deck Command conversion ensure the turn-based combat isn't stale.
  6. When I load up the game next week and hear "Dearly Beloved" I'm probably going to cry. A lot. The game we've been waiting for for years is actually real.
  7. The TIME TRAVEL BABY is probably the biggest plot twist. Largely because I still can't (and don't want to) believe it.
  8. Wreck-It Ralph would be cool if he didn't look like a terrible Summon. If Osaka fixes the stupid lack of i-frames then maybe. Gonna go with Stitch. He's cute and a boss.
  9. It's always cool seeing technical stuff like this showing how cutscenes work. It's really interesting. Also really funny in this case.
  10. Mind clarifying what the heck this question is asking?
  11. Xemnas in II. You have great set pieces, Paul St. Peter hamming it up, amazing music, and fair difficulty. It's perfect.
  12. I'm a simple man with simple desires who just really appreciates Keyblade switching.
  13. Bond of Flame. It's just a really good design. Plus Final Form Firaga strats. >:]
  14. I'd really prefer not having Rage Form function as a punishment mechanic. AntiForm works in II because of how Drive Forms function as an optional side-grade that you always have access to but should only be used when necessary. III seemingly encourages that you always use Situation Commands due to their nature of being temporarily accessible. I do not want the game to reprimand me for doing what it wants of me.
  15. Favorite music? Yes. For real though, it's Utada Hiraki's "Sanctuary". The version that plays during II's credits, the opening version, the instrumental version. All of them.
  16. So many godly battle tracks. Yoko Shimomura is a gift. Favorite normal battle theme is "Critical Drive"--I'm very partial to the Days version in particular. The Hollow Bastion battle music (whatever it's called) is a very close second, though. Favorite boss track is easily "The Other Promise".
  17. No seriously how did Xion x Ven get on the list but not but Roxas x Xion?!? Or Ansem SOD x Darkness? You had one job. Also I saw some fanart of Aqua x Axel awhile back and I totes ship it now.
  18. Gonna echo the sentiment that Honey Slider in II is pretty chill.
  19. Thought this would be a topic people here would be interested in. If you live in or by the Los Angeles area, the El Capitan Theatre will be hosting select Disney animated classics for the next month and a half. These films are: The Little Mermaid (Jan 18-30) Sleeping Beauty (Jan 29) Beauty and the Beast (Feb 1-10) Land and the Tramp (Feb 11-18) Cinderella (Feb 28-Mar3) You can find ticket information and times at the theatre's website. https://elcapitantheatre.com/happily-ever-after-classics/ Personally, I'm going to try and see Beauty and the Beast since it's one of my favorite Disney movies. I'd also like to see Sleeping Beauty since that film is gorgeous, but the date does not mesh with my schedule.
  20. I think Thresholder is my favorite Heartless, even if the fight sucks when you're playing Critical. The design is just really appealing to look at.
  21. Imma bit late so time for catch-up. 1.) II and IIFM both have great covers, though II has a slight edge here. 358/2 Days also has pretty good cover art. 2.) Pete. I just like Jim Cummings' performance a lot. 3.) Goofy's basic shield? I guess? Don't really have any favorites. 4.) Same thing here. None of Donald's staffs stick out to me. 5.) Limit Form because Ars lock strats. 6.) Armored Xemnas 2 is the best fight ever. 7.) Oh god I've being doing a Lv 1 run in IIFM recently and soooooo many bosses are hard. I'm just going to default to Demyx because screw that fight. 8.) Port Royal/The Carribean. It just doesn't work and that's why I love it. 9.) Zack, if only because he gave Aqua a scene where she acted like an actual character. 10.) Hollow Bastion/Radiant Garden is the best OG world. 11.) Any time you're in The 100 Acre Wood it's just so chill. You can't help but be happy there. 12.) Days. Just Days. 13.) I think I like Dragoons the most out of all Nobodies. Their design is kickass and they have cool animations. 14.) Mandrakes are kinda cute.
