Riku Replica: Should he return?
That's exactly what I'm saying and what I've been trying to say in a couple of other threads, that Ansem, Xemnas, Saix, Xigbar, Young X, and any other past villains and possibly heroes that people think will be one of the Thirteen are long gone and aren't coming back unless Nomura decides to screw his own rules just to appease the fans.

Seekers of Darkness
KeybladeMasterDeadpoolio replied to Zekrofire's topic Kingdom Hearts III & Kingdom Hearts III Re MindExcept they were all time displaced, not just Young Xehanort. They all had to return to their own times in order to either grow up into Master Xehanort or to have their asses kicked by Sora and Riku. Heck, I don't even think the Master Xehanort we see in Dream Drop Distance is the real one because 1) he's old again and that defeats the entire purpose of trying to get a younger body so he could be strong enough to see the war to its conclusion and 2) he fades away just like his other selves which tells me that he was time displaced as well and that it was all a distraction so that the Master Xehanort, Braig, and Isa in the present could get to work gathering ten more members without interference. Without Young Xehanort to travel through time, none of the ones that we see can come back and if they do, it'll just be major cop out.

Seekers of Darkness
KeybladeMasterDeadpoolio replied to Zekrofire's topic Kingdom Hearts III & Kingdom Hearts III Re MindI don't get why people keep assuming that the True Organization XIII that we will see in Kingdom Hearts 3 is going to be the same as the one in Dream Drop Distance. Master Xehanort, Braig, and Isa are the only guaranteed members while everyone else no longer exists in the present because they either died, have become someone else by that point, or can no longer time travel as stated by the rules explained in Dream Drop Distance.

Future Installments...
I'm of the exact opposite opinion, that the franchise should end with Kingdom Hearts 3. For starters, there are only so many times that Sora can be knocked back to level 1 before it gets stale, Heartless and Nobodies have already been done to death, Unversed don't exist anymore and Dream Eaters can only exist in the Realm Of Sleep, and given the cosmology of the franchise there really can't be any other enemies unless they decide to do something like bring in monsters from beyond the the Realms of Light, Darkness, In-Between, Nothingness, and Sleep. In terms of specific villains, how could they possibly top Maleficent and the Xehanorts? Plus, there are only so many Disney movies to take worlds from without becoming repetitive or using the really obscure ones. I know that this is a cash cow franchise but I say go out while on top instead of falling into mediocrity.

Questions About Keyblades
@ Kingdomhe Yes, the player's Keyblade automatically transformed but it still doesn't explain why. @ Hero Of Light XIV The way I figured it, Xion's Keyblade was real the whole time. Early in Days she was technically using Roxas's and thus Sora's Kingdom Key which is why Roxas had to use a stick a couple times. Later, when Xion's heart was becoming more developed, she got her own Keyblade but because she was literally made of Sora, it still took the form of the Kingdom Key. Unless I'm wrong and just misremembering things again. In my defense, I only played Days once so I probably don't recall a scene where it's explicitly stated that Xion was given a fake Keyblade. Or there was no scene like that and it was only stated in an interview or guide book in which case *shakes fist at Nomura again* That being said, I like your reasoning and it shall be my new headcanon until proven otherwise. But this raises another question: if the Master Of Masters is indeed the very first Keyblade wielder then where did he get the ability to do so? It's stated repeatedly that to gain the ability to use a Keyblade, one must get it from a Master or a wielder of equivalent power but there were no masters before him. Did he somehow get in contact with either Kingdom Hearts or the X-Blade to learn from those or did his Future Eye have something to do with it?

Questions About Keyblades
Of all the things in this franchise that I have the hardest time wrapping my head around, it's Keyblades, which is why I have a couple questions: Question 1: Is it explicitly stated that the players in Unchained X have multiple Keyblades or just one that changes appearance and type effectiveness? Question 2: Are Keychains just placebos? Allow me to elaborate: the way I understand things, a Keyblade's appearance is based on the heart of its wielder, excepting those who received them from external sources (Sora, Mickey, Master Xehanort, and currently Aqua) as opposed to forging them themselves. Keychains are a physical token based on the memory of whomever or wherever a given wielder received them from and can change the Keyblade based on that memory. Does this mean that if Sora focused really intently on Kairi, would the Kingdom Key automatically transform into the Oathkeeper without him needing to attach her lucky charm or am I misunderstanding the mechanics?

So.... This just appeared in my shared medals list...
The one I saw was guilted to 125% and I wouldn't have finally beaten one of those damn Orb challenges without it.

Riku Replica: Should he return?
Single use is basically the long and short of it. Bodiless Billy Zane went back in time and passed his time powers to his younger self and then proceeded to wait out the 50 odd years on Destiny Islands until he could claim a new body, that being Riku. He was then brought into the future by his younger self sometime between fully possessing Riku and his defeat at the end of the first game which is where he returned with no memories of Dream Drop Distance. Since Bodiless Billy Zane went into hiding after he sent Young Xehanort on his adventure and Young X no longer has any memory of time shenanigans, he wouldn't know Bodiless BZ was a thing until he became him decades later.

Platforming & Exploration?
If the ability to wall run and that huge cliff that Sora jumps off of in one of the game play trailers is anything to go by, I'd say there is definitely platforming in KH3. Personally I'm kind of hoping the worlds have a wide open sandbox element to them in addition to platforming but that's just me liking sandbox games.

Riku Replica: Should he return?
Except he can't do that. Xehanort doesn't have anyone to time travel for him anymore. Is he going to give up his own body after he just got it back just get one fake kid? Does Xehanort suddenly have unexplained time travel powers that explicitly break the rules that were already established? If that's the case, then why didn't he do that instead of going through all of this super convoluted crap?
-
Riku Replica: Should he return?
I'd like to point out that Riku Replica can't be one of the Thirteen because of one simple fact: he's not a Xehanort. The Black Coat Riku that appears in Dream Drop Distance can't be because he didn't have the yellow eyes and pointed ears, not to mention that none of the gathered hooded Norts were short teenagers. Plus, Young Xehanort couldn't have brought the Replica forward for the same exact reason. Plus, even if he somehow is a Nort, he still can't come back because as stated in Dream Drop Distance, the time travel plot is done. Young Xehanort can no longer travel through time which means we won't be seeing Ansem, Xemnas, Xigbar, and Saix again. Master Xehanort has to find a new set of ten vessels to go along with him and the revived Braig and Isa. Unless of course Nomura decides to break a rule he so firmly established just to appease the fans which would be a total cop out.

I absolutely agree, the story (what little of it we've gotten so far and I am deliberately trying to avoid spoilers) is really good but the problem is that you either need super strong medals to get through the ridiculous story bosses or you need a crap ton of jewels to keep reviving when you get one shot killed by these monsters. And since I have awful luck when it comes to medals, I need all the jewels I can get or else I'm screwed out of the plot. In fact, the second that the plot is finally done, I am dropping this game for good.

Could DDD in 2.8 be a FM version of the Game?
If we do get additional scenes hopefully we get ones that, you know, explain things better. For example, a scene that shows Sora and Riku travelling back in time to when Destiny Islands falls instead of us just starting there and giving us all that flashback crap. If Sora and Riku are using the same time travel method as the Norts, then the whole leaving your body behind thing wouldn't need to be explained to him by Young Xehanort. Or show a scene that explicitly shows whether "Braig" and "Isa" are really there and not just time displaced Xigbar and Saix. But I doubt it because Nomura seems to have a fetish for explaining important details long after the fact.

It must not be true because every time that I try to do one of these deals I always get ripped off and screwed over. I wish I was that lucky and I don't even know how you managed to beat those. I try to fight the raid bosses but I rarely find them because doing missions to make them appear drains my AP gauge too quickly. And even if I do manage to get a higher level raid boss and if I somehow manage to beat it, the amount of experience that I get is so little that you need a microscope to see the meter go up.

I've considered doing that multiple times but it's the principle of it all. I've played and beaten every single Kingdom Hearts without any kind of guide until now. I want to prove to myself that I can still do it but to be stopped this close to the endgame of it all is just so maddening. I want to see it all to the end with my very own eyes and hands, not by someone else doing it for me.

The same happened to me! Hell, I was hoping that I would at least get Xemnas but all I got was the same old crap I've been getting every time I try! I'm especially hoping that I can somehow get a Namine medal because it seems to be the only way to beat those stupid Adamantite Orb challenges.

I think that Unchained X is the worst game in the whole franchise. That's right, I think that Re: Chain Of Memories, 358/2 Days, Re: Coded, and Dream Drop Distance are all better than this piece of crap because of one simple thing: you don't have to be Bruce flipping Wayne to play them. Now I know that it's a mobile game and mobile games tend to be Pay To Win but seriously, Square Enix? Were you really that hard up for cash? I mean, the fact that you have to buy all the good medals instead of being able to earn them in the game itself is bad enough but did you have to make it so damn random that only people with billion dollar incomes can afford to dump enough into it just to get anything half decent? And then there's the levels. Now, I know what you'll say, "just grind and you'll level up in no time". Except I can't grind because the damn AP gauge runs out too quickly and I have to wait twelve hours for it to refill! How the hell are there players that are level 250 when all I can barely manage is a measly 180? I downloaded it the very second it became available in North America! Either I must be insanely unlucky or I'm the only financially challenged player in a Union full of trust fund kids! And the worst part? I can't stop playing or else I'm going to miss all of the crucial plot points! Firetruck you, Square Enix, you colossal greedy assholes!

Kingdom Heartses?
Although, if one of the Norts did get their hands on one of the non-True Kingdom Heartses it still would have gone a long way to help get the real deal, phenomenal cosmic power and all that. Which I guess explains why none of them are too bummed about not getting them, they were just added bonuses on top of The Master Plan.

Kingdom Heartses?
If the one that Ansem was after was the Kingdom Hearts Of World's Hearts and Xemnas's was the one Of People's Hearts then what about the one that showed up at the Keyblade Graveyard? This really should have been explained in the games. *shakes fist at the Japan exclusive guide books and interviews*

Kingdom Heartses?
Let me see if I can get this straight: there's Kingdom Hearts which is the end all be all, the alpha and omega, the place where all life in the universe is born and where it all goes to die, which Ansem tried to get to in KH1 and poked it's head out of the Realm Of Darkness when it sensed the Imperfect X-Blade being forged. Then there's Xemnas's artificial Kingdom Hearts that was created from amassing the freed Hearts of the Heartless. But in some places I've read that the one Ansem was after and the one that Master Xehanort summoned were not the actual Kingdom Hearts and were also facsimiles. My question is how many Kingdom Heartses are there and which ones are real?

Kingdom Hearts 3: Final Mix. Will It Happen?
KeybladeMasterDeadpoolio replied to Way2Dawn's topic Kingdom Hearts III & Kingdom Hearts III Re MindI honestly wouldn't be surprised that they'll put out a Japan only Final Mix 3 because boneheaded business decisions seem to be the name of the game with Japanese game companies these days (Capcom, Konami, and Sega, I'm looking at you). Hell, it wouldn't be the first time Square Enix have messed up either.
