ah, the newer remakes do a different take and have "classic" toggles in options rather than bundling the entire same game

i guess it isn't as common in newer remakes

i think a lot of the gba ports/remakes ended up doing it but i can't remember any others atm

it always surprises me when a remake unlocks the original after beating it. like yeah I'm definitely in the mood to play the clunkier less refined version immediately after getting through the(usually) better remake
