Sora's off with Donald and Goofy to search for the other Guardians of Light and the Key to Return Hearts. Riku and Mickey are searching for previous Keyblade wielders (whatever that means). DDD's secret ending seems to imply Kairi will be trained by Yen Sid.

 

But what about Lea? One would think he was going to be trained as well, but there wasn't any real indication of that. As soon as he got his Keyblade he went off to see the Apprentices in Radiant Garden. And now he knows what happened to Isa and Braig. So the Apprentices should be aware of what was supposed to happen to them as well.

 

I figure it's impossible to give the Apprentices a real redemption arc, but Xehanort still messed with them, and since Ansem the Wise is, as far as everyone besides him and Aqua knows, dead, someone needs to decipher the data Ansem left behind. Maybe even a way to make up for what they did to him.

 

It would be interesting if Lea became sort of a in-between with the good guys and the Apprentices, especially since he himself should want the data totally uncovered, as it holds the final key to bringing back those lost. And that would fit since Lea is supposed to be involved in saving Roxas and Xion.

 

Be a way to have Lea interact with Ienzo and Even after what he did to them, and if Xehanort and the others became aware that the Apprentices allied with Sora and the others, Lea may end up protecting them.

 

What do you guys think he might do during the game?

I like the idea about the Apprentices helping decode Ansem The Wise's data to help the heroes for what they did, so that's awesome brainstorming on your part, and I bet Lea would definitely help with the decoding process!

 

But I'm thinking he'll also be a temporary Guardian Of Light, since I'm guessing Terra won't be saved near the end of the game, so have Lea be one of the Guardians! Heck, he could also go on scouting missions to the worlds of the Seven Princesses Of Heart, to make sure they're safe and be ready to protect them should their lives be in danger! And well, Lea has always been the kind of guy who does things on his own, so I'm guessing that he'd also keep searching for a way to bring Roxas back on his own! But I hope he interacts a lot more with the heroes!

No idea tbh, but he could take Leon's typical place, dunno. I'm quite certain that he'll have a lot more plot involvement than gameplay.

Lea will prolly play a good role in bringing Roxas and Xion back (Implying that either is brought back though a interview I think back 2014 or 2013 did confirm Roxas would be making his return but information can change etc.)

Maybe something to do with Ventus I dunno.

Probably training alongside Kairi early game. Then mid game he might aid the other apprentices with decoding Ansem's data (props to Golden Fighter up there for that one) and end game he'll fight either as a GoL or an ally to the GoL (I'm leaning towards the latter).

Actually, Sora and co will find the Key to returning Hearts, while Riku and mickey will go to find the previous masters. Kairi will be training at Yen Sid's, so Lea might most likely be training too.

I like the idea of Lea being an in-between for our crew and the Apprentices. In fact I think it's highly likely to happen, considering that Axel always played that sort of in-between role throughout the series.

 

I also think that Lea might try to look for Isa, since they were best friends as humans, it's only natural for Lea to wonder what exactly happened to Isa and would find him to demand an explanation or something like that.
