How different do you think 1.5 + 2.5 will look compared to the PS3 versions?

Posted

I played Final Fantasy X HD on the PS3 and PS4, and while there was definitely a slight graphical improvement, it wasn't anything huge. I don't even think the PS4 version loaded faster or anything. I just hope they fix some issues the PS3 version of 2.5 had, like the Xemnas bug and random crashes.

Nothing major. At most, I'd say expect KH1 Sora's sleeves and the cuffs of his gloves to be rounded out, just like his DDD outfit is going to be.

Well, I don't think they're going to look all that different! They'll have slight polish and shine, but nothing too major like, say, Kingdom Hearts III! So yeah, something around the lines of how X/X-2 looks like on PS4! Something like that! :P

Won't be anything too great. Just some upscaling and hopefully some problem fixes.

60 fps baby

i mean i doubt they'll look much better graphically. the graphics of the KH series already really look fantastic in HD. the edges and the colors all just look great. i'm sure they'll look just as well, if not slightly better, on the PS4.

No more than they can actually manage. I mean, the PS4 is capable of great things, but there's only so far you can push a PS2 title beyond it's limitations. I'd imagine that they might look a bit better than their PS3 models and textures, probably round out some edges a bit more and make the textures a bit cleaner. But beyond that, I'm not expecting something mind-blowing, beyond fixing all of the issues the ReMIXes had, such as the bane of my existence mistake with Ventus' first Dive into The Heart, the loading times, small situational bugs (I personally haven't come across too many but others have), and maybe adding very few new bells and whistles, such as new PS4 menu themes and trophies, small bits of extra content like a Zero/One Keyblade card for Re:CoM after watching Re:Coded or one or two new cutscenes...somewhere (I honestly don't think there's that much left you can add at this point, but it would make a nice surprise), maybe a special secret ending for KH3 after fulfilling certain requirements from all 6 games (again, probably not necessary at this point...but god DAMN that would be so cool!), and whatever else they could reasonable manage. I would be tempted to ask for BBS to have everyone's armor have the capes on all the time and for the Muliplayer function of the Mirage Arena brought back for either an online or local setting but I imagine that that would probably take up extra time or space to figure out so I would understand if they just kept it the way it was in the PS3 version.

But yeah, I imagine the visual difference would be similar to FF X/X-2, if not maaaaaybe slightly more obvious.

Hopefully the cutscenes in CoM are fixed, since unlike the KH ones, those were just uprezzed from the originals (which was jarring compared to the beautiful gameplay graphics).

The PS4 version of FFX loads much faster than the PS3 version. Go compare them, it has practically no loading screens while on the PS3 it felt like half the time I was staring at the rotating Zanarkand Abes symbol.
