'Ello peeps! Long time, no see.

Awhile back, I started an rp named Vanguard, a KH story about a group of Heroes taking on other threats while Sora and the gang focused on Xehanort. I had a lot of fun with this concept, even ending it with a cliff hanger, which led to its sequel. Sadly, I let the story slip away from me and left it dormant. And while I don't think I could pick up where I left off, memories of the fun I had with the concept and the people who took part in it have convinced me to give it another go.

For those interested, I'd like to restart Vanguard, same premise and some familiar faces, but also with new characters and twists.

'Tis a difficult path to follow, heroes. Have you the heart?

Vanguard takes place after Dream Drop Distance, where a bunch of people (new keybladers, adventurers, etc. our OCs) receive invitations to the Haunted Mansion in Twilight Town. Stuff goes down, but eventually this group of people becomes a small band of capable warriors who go on various missions to help clear things up so that Sora and the Seven Lights can tango with the real enemies. It was gooooood fun, that much is true. rikunobody is easily one of the most capable GMs on site too, so I highly recommend playing in basically anything he hosts.

I didn't join in on the original Vanguard, but I would be highly interested in joining the reboot. : ) Will I be at a significant disadvantage by not having participated in the previous RPs, or will the RP begin from a relatively neutral point that is self-explanatory?

No disadvantage at all. Clean slate. While the premise is the same from the previous games, I'm changing a lot of details to keep it fresh. The only advantage someone who played the first two Vanguards would have is perhaps a better first hand knowledge of how I like to run my games ( and that will only help them so much, muhahahaha).

I'd be careful about starting another RP at this time, mate. The FFXV hype might hinder RP efforts for a while.

That's a good point. However, if it is of any reassurance, I myself am not playing FF XV, so I would actively participate. I cannot say for certain about the others, but none of us might even be playing the game at this point.

Point. I've even fallen for the hype (though not as hard as most). Let's see, my games do tend to be slow paced post speed wise, so that might help.

Hmm... I guess the best course of action is to delay the official start the game for long than usual, which would also work out with me having finals next week. I'll still get the sign-ups up here pretty soon, so people can get characters in and what not.

Now, if someone would like a longer delay, tell me and I'll see what I can do.

I say a longer delay. I'm still hyping over FFXV, but I might not play it for a whole year so you don't have to worry about me.

I'm just watching a let's play since mine arrives until monday, so I'm fine with any option.
