FFIX and Kingdom Hearts music comparison

Posted

Okay so, Pandemonium sounds a lot like the "Sad Princess" theme from BBS

If it doesn't start there for you, skip to 32:06

And here's Sad Princess

Now I REAALLLY wanna do a mashup of these two but I don't know really how to. Thoughts?

Yeah, it has identical chord progression for some parts!

The original soundtrack to FFIX has a lot of beautiful and memorable tunes!

I can play Melodies of Life and Rose of May on piano <3

FFIX has always been my favorite Final Fantasy, for both music and story!

It's a pretty common chord progression, yes. In a way, both pieces were meant to evoke the same emotion (only thing being one is ten years older than the other). Two fantastic songs by two amazing composers for two phenomenal games.

I'm talking about FFXV and FFIX  of course

Ah yes, the similarities are definitely there! But I do have to offer correction! I thought for the longest time that the theme in Birth By Sleep was Sad Princess, but it turns out that it's called Tears Of The Light!

Anyways, that aside, I do see some faint similarities between Pandemonium and Tears Of The Light! There are parts that make me think of Birth By Sleep! Ah, Final Fantasy IX, a truly remarkable entry in the Final Fantasy franchise! :D
