I think after KH3 I take a long vacation or break so to speak...

I think I am not the only one thinking about this here.

I am not saying I will stop with the series believe me I won't even if I wanted to I couldn't blame my autism:)

I have been following this series for 10 years and a few months and I am just... Tired.

The thing for me is that this saga has been going on for 15 years and still hasn't concluded yet and I have a feeling sometimes they delay KH3 development so people still get hyped and buy all the collections.

Í have to keep up with sooooooooooooooooooo much in the story without a end in sight.

I am not ready for another 10/15 years of journey this time around so I might just skip the next game and wait a year or two to keep up.

Also I have a form of depression so to speak and Kingdom Hearts really helps so I keep still up but..... OKE I am bad at explaining so eh eh

EDIT: Okay people I didn't ask for what I should do in my free time -_-

i think one way to prevent series fatigue is to play other games and just ease off whatever series you're focusing so much on.

i'm still a fan of KH but i'm not feeling burnt out after 15 years because i'm been playing other games and just doing other things in general.

of course it's totally understandable to want a break from the series. it has been dragging along for too long. it's why i'm surprised Nomura is just saying this is the first saga (which is such an ass pull).

that'd be more acceptable if this current saga didn't stretch out across 10 games.

maybe the next saga would be his way of secretly rebooting the series. he'll leave all this Xehanort nonsense behind to focus on a more coherent plot with Sora and co.

Agreed with Headphone Jack.

I occupy myself with other games in the meanwhile, with anime and other stuff. So I'm not really "waiting" for KH3 atm, or for news like other fans are. Just go with the flow, that's the best you can do.

Honestly, occupy yourself with other hobbies. Heck, do something like visit a new place or talk with people that you haven't talked to in a long time helps too!

Yes I agree with this, I mean If I just played this one game series for the last 15 years I would be tired too.

I spend way more time with this series than any other franchise, game or otherwise but of course If you spend to much time with things even those  you love they will lose what you like about them and become a pain just like for exampel alcohol.

His plan is a good Idea Go on vaccation forget about everything and than you love for the series will reignite.

Maybe after we learn what happens in KH3, a vacation is necessary because there is so much to uncover and learn.

I, too, at times feel fatigued, and even frustrated, that this "saga" has dragged on for so long.  Years ago, a few people I knew who only played KH1 and KH2 kept asking about when KH3 would finally come out.  I tried explaining to them that they absolutely must catch up with story line if they hoped to have any clue as to what's going on in KH3, that the "side games" were so critical to KH3's plot.  I can only foresee a lot of confusion and frustration for the many people who only played the numbered titles during the PS2 era, when KH3 finally unfolds.

I'll be honest, if it were not for the 1.5, 2.5, and 2.8 collections releasing fairly close to one another, I may have become greatly disinterested in the series after such a long wait for KH3.  Fortunately, I am now more invested than ever to see this "Dark Seeker Saga" through to the very end, as 2.8 especially excited me for KH3 and its many possibilities.

Its like, "HURRY THE CRAP UP AND FINISH IT ALREADY I AM TIRED".  In the meantime, SONIC!

After DDD's sheer Diabolus Ex Machina over the entire series, combined with KH3 taking so long to come out and finally give everything closure, I'm pretty burned-out myself -- hence why I rarely even come, let alone post, here anymore.
