Once Upon A Time -- General Discussion

Posted

Hey there everyone, how's it going!? So then, I wanted to talk to you all about a show I've been watching for years now, and I'm sure it's a show a good many of you have watched as well! And I'm talking about...

Once_Upon_a_Time_title_card.jpg

Now, for all those who know about this show, which is a story that mixes in various different Grim and Disney characters together in a darker setting, right now it's in its sixth season! Now, the show is very good, and I've loved it from the get go, but apparently, the ratings for the show haven't been the best for a while now, thus many are fearing that the show will be cancelled!

Now, right now, at where the story is currently standing at, everything is leading up to the point of the "Final Battle" as the Black Fairy says. Now, the way things are building up, especially with Emma and Hook engaged, I think that it's safe to say that this season should be the show's last. We've gotten to a point where the most important characters have gotten their stories told, and right now, after the Black Fairy, I really don't see what other mighty villain can be put to surpass her, since she's apparently the source of all Black Magic, ya know? So honestly, I think the show should end on a high note with this season, as I think that it's going to, with Emma and Hook's wedding being the "Happily Ever After" so to speak! I would much prefer the series ends now then for it to decline in popularity and get cancelled, because let me tell you, I've invested many years of my life on these characters, so I really don't want to see their stories unfinished!

But what about all of you? Do you, like me, think the show should end with this season? Or do you think it should continue?

The reset idea is terrible, and everyone involved should feel bad.  That's like when The X-Files cast new people in season nine, and got canned as quickly as possible due to a steady ratings drop. I

  • I agree.  This feels like it would be kinda like Being Human UK, when the main cast started leaving the show in the third season, instead of ending it, they got a new cast and it was terrible.

I'd rather see it be cancelled than rebooted: it never works, and it certainly won't work on a show with six seasons of pre-set mythology

Something has occurred to me:

If Rumple and Aladdin's fates as saviors hadn't been snipped would Emma have still been born one? Or can there be multiple saviors?

Is it possible that being her son, adult Henry will discover that he is a savior? If so I don't know how I'd feel about it.

That's actually an interesting thought that you put there! Like, is any of this related to chance, or is this something that is a legacy issue? If so, then Henry may find himself potentially facing the hardships of being the Savior!

But what also intrigues me is if he's still the Author or not! Cuz it seems that he's just your average young adult, so what could possibly be happening behind the scenes? Could he have passed on the powers of the Author onto another person?

True, there was this whole thing suggested about his author powers going haywire until he ended up a vegetable but it was never followed-up on. I do want to know what happened with that.

Huh, really? That sounds crazy and messed up! Maybe something like that did happen and he was able to get back to normal! That would kind of explain adult Henry's reaction to Lucy when she talked about his family needing him. He seemed to be like: "Uh, what?"

Or maybe I'm just reading into that too much and he actually still has conscious memory of everything that's happened!

Or Issac, the source of that information, could have been lying his ass off for a free ride out of town. I didn't trust him or understand how he'd know as it was never established that he had trouble with the power.

Hmm, that's another good point! Issac did seem to be very fishy when dealing out this info! And then he just up and vanished! This means that we may probably never see him again, ya know?

Fine by me.

I wonder what other characters we'll see returning, if there will be any? Or will all the characters for Season 7 be mostly new?

That is yet to be known.

Personally, I'd love to see Jefferson the Mad Hatter again. I have missed him for such a long time and when his hat made an appearance in the season 6 finale but he did not, I felt cheated.

I also feel Mulan's story could use some expansion as I believe she was a nomad when we last saw her.

Ooh yeah, Jefferson! I'd like to see what he's up to these days! (Plus, he's the Winter Soldier from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, so I think that little detail is awesome!) Ah, and that's right! Mulan's story did feel inconclusive! I do wonder how she's been? :O
