Sora and Riku as gatekeepers to the X-blade and Kingdom Hearts?

Posted

i was reading the latest rumors of Kingdom hearts 3. I thought what if at the end of kingdom hearts 3 Kingdom Hearts needs someone protecting it in case some evil nutcase decided to use the x-blade to summon kingdom hearts and to use it for evil. So it chose Sora and Riku to be it's gatekeepers.....sora to be the representative of light and Riku to be the representative of darkness.

Don't know. Sounds cool, but I don't know. I don't know how they could get there to your theory actually.

His role is done. His role was meant for what we saw in X Back Cover as stated by Nomura himself. There is nothing else for him.

it would be ashame that sora and friends don't get to meet him.

Yes I agree with that. Personally, it would be nice to see a bigger role for him, but alas, the story does not go that way.

at least to me i don't think kingdom hearts will leave X-blade unprotected after the 2nd keyblade war to happen.

This sounds pretty darn badass, but it sounds like something more along the lines of an ending for the series in general, unless this premise ends up taking a route similar to the new Star Wars trilogy, where everything gets out of whack again and a new generation of Keyblade Wielders ends up searching for Sora and Riku to help fend off some impending threat. Something like that could happen! :O

unless there is a keyblade or power that rivals the X-blade. lol

... That sounds INCREDIBLE for the next saga!! Nomura is a massive fan of Star Wars and you can already see the similarities between KH and SW! God I hope that happens!

But Nomura stated that Sora will always be the protagonist of all the KH games. Personally I don't see KH3 ending on a happy note, I believe that something bad will happen which will be the basis for the next saga to come :P

No it probably won't, but what becomes of the X-blade after the seven and thirteen clash remains unknown. I have no clue what will even take place as Union X keeps updating.

Haha, thanks, I'm glad you think so! Yeah, I've always thought that this could be the way the series goes in the next saga. That way, we get to see a significant time gap and we get to see our beloved characters in a new light, ya know? And you are right in terms of Nomura's love for Star Wars! There are many Star Wars vibes throughout the series, so I definitely see that! But yeah, anything could happen! :D

Yes, I know that. But that doesn't necessarily mean that we'll have access to Sora from the get go in the next saga! Just think of the Roxas intro in KHII, where we controlled him for the first couple of hours, ya know?

And well, since this is the end of the Xehanort Saga, I think it should have a happy ending, to provide closure for us in terms of the past 15 years! A grim ending would probably feel cliffhanger-ish and would probably feel more inconclusive, and then maybe others would confuse the next game as still being part of the Xehanort Saga, ya know?

After times of peace, disaster can occur, so the next saga can still have something strong to start off on, depending on what Nomura has in mind, ya know?

If sora to be the representative of light then if someone from the dark try to use the x-blade then sora will be there to stop them and the same with riku and someone from the light that try to use the x-blade
