Hello! My name is Alter-Ego, and I've just granted you all a marvelous gift! The chance to start again. Together, this time!

 

Someone once said to me: Oh dear, magnificent Alter-Ego- I wish with all my heart that I could have a new life! I've made so many mistakes, and I've experienced way too much sadness for one person to endure! Please- let me start over!

 

Being the benevolent leader that I am, of course I listened to their words! I also thought, maybe I should let everyone start over, let everyone have a chance to remove their unhappiness and strife.

 

Unfortunately- due to the curse of free will, and my inability to REMOVE it, strife and chaos will be persistent in any life I try to give you. That's why I've created the Journal!

 

You all have with you in this new land, a journal. Everyday something new will appear in the journal, something that will tell you what you need to do on that day to optimize your happiness!

 

If someone chooses not to listen to their Journal, chaos could ensue. That's why I've also created my very own set of dedicated followers called The Keepers! They'll be sure that everyone follows their Journal to optimize the happiness of everyone! Of course- I'll only bring out The Keepers if it really becomes needed.

Like a lot of RPs you've seen before- this universe gives people a chance to start over. Video game characters, books, movies, even OCs if you wish. They've all been given a chance- or forced to, depending on who you are, to live a life their own. It's a bit different, this time!

 

In this world, all your memories of your old life are gone- all you can remember is this new, made up life you now have, and your strange drive to listen to what the Journal tells you. Thanks to the graceful- or forceful- entity known as Alter-Ego.

 

The setting is Renaissance Era, in a town called Loren. Magic and such- it exists, but is feared. Please be safe when practicing magic, and be careful who you show it to! It's not illegal, but it is scary! If someone thinks you're threatening them, you can be jailed!

 

What else need you know?

 

Well, I'll give you this- Alter-Ego can only create. She cannot destroy.

• Keep in mind- you can use any character from anything! This is a new life for them- their memories are gone! Is it possible to get them back, though....? Hmm...

Skill/Magic: Locati- a set of spells that involve location. Weaker spells locate objects within a set radius, while more potent and energy draining spells can have a huge range.

 

Personality: While he's a bit shy, James can be pretty playful towards people he's close to! Auditory learner- he learns things easier if they're said/sung/put into a rhythm. Intimidated easily by older/taller people, but knows how to stand his ground if someone else could get hurt. Friendly, Attentive, and a hopeless romantic, you can count on James to be a good friend once you know him! He also enjoys books! That's why he works as a librarian.

 

Bio: While younger than most of the Librarians, James has worked there for quite some time. He actually lives in the library- in a room that remains locked when he isn't there. He keeps his Journal in a small bedside cabinet, and is a firm follower- who wouldn't want to be happy? He doesn't work every day, though- he's mostly a request worker- due to it being his library. Yup! He owns the Library- all these books are ones he collected, or that were donated. He visits the Playhouse every time a new show is premiering- he loves the arts.

This is one of those RPs that started out as a completely different idea, and was completely revamped when I started writing the sign-ups.

I'm sorry for not posting, but I'm not feeling that good at the moment. But I will try to post tomorrow morning when I can.

I was wondering the same thing, actually, as well as something else.  Does everyone in this world have a Journal, or does this take place in the real world, only the one's whose lives were reset have Journals?

Also, let's say this is a storybrooke type deal, but different. It takes place in it's own realm of sorts- the town is the only thing that exists in this world- no one has ever tried to leave, and their memories of having visited other places are fake. The entire outlining of the town is emulated in a since- whatever you can see that lies outside the town is fake. The mountains in the distance, for example. No one has really thought of leaving, and the Journal has a built in safety lock for anyone who tries to leave- same for whoever tries to figure out the truth, which is why Vanitas has had his journal erased. The Journal (Alter-Ego) expects him dead by the end of the day, and wants no record of him in the Journals anymore.

I wonder if VIncent at some point unlocks full dragon mode. if he can break through and get out of the town. Since I know for sure there is something else stopping everyone from leaving, not just psychologicaly. But physicaly too.

Yup! There definitely is something physically preventing them from leaving and it's not the Keepers

As long as the person doesn't op on their knowledge or power, a co-host should be helpful if you need one. I could help out, if you want.

No worries at all.  I'm excited that this RP is going well for you. : )  It's a rather intriguing concept to me.

 

As for the secondary host, I think that's a rather good idea.  It would be someone that you can bounce ideas off of, plus you would have more support.  Sometimes it's really handy to have someone else there to help back you up in terms of momentum and just working with a RP and its players in general.  I don't think it would be unfair to the rest of us if someone is selected as a co-host; it'd be vital that they know more information, else they probably couldn't aid in hosting very well.  You should do what's best for you and what you feel most comfortable with.  I'd be quite pleased with whatever outcome you decide upon.

Sorry I've been so dead--just got a job today and I'll be able to post tomorrow or tonight depending on several things. Thanks for putting up with my butt!!

She's only able to do such acts if she has a device that tells time to focus on (whether she's looking at a clock, a watch or even a smartphone). This is why she's almost always seen with a watch on her wrist.

 

Personality: Very timid. Due to the nature of her abilities, she always likes to plan for things, and keep track of time. She spends most of her time daydreaming of a life outside of her own. She can be considered an introverted extrovert, wanting to be social and hating to be alone, but is quick to anxiety in too large a crowd.

 

Bio: Attending the school in Loren, Jade is doing everything in her power to gain all the necessary skills she needs to make something out of her life. She's always hated the quaintness of Loren, and would do anything to be given a more exciting life. She's even had to suppress her abilities, for fear of being demonized. She is now out of practice with her time manipulation, having not used her powers in over a year.

James is the one who was assigned to kill Vanitas, but he's hesitant.

 

Sheriff Gumshoe was killed off, the Journal sent Vincent to investigate the scene as a warning.

 

Someone ignored the previous days entry, causing the crash of a ship, and the death of all the passengers.

 

Jynn's horse, Mel, was attacked by the Keepers, but because Jynn was there, they couldn't eat Mel. The Keepers get hungier the more someone ignores the Journal, which is why every day, they draw closer to the town. The have built in rules, though, that they can only attack those who have largely ignored the Journal, or ignored a BIG entry- which is why right now, the Keepers may be attacking a few of our players tonight.
