Personally, I'm more partial to the Mirage Arena, or possibly some variation of the zodiac boss rush in 0.2. With the former, there was more variety in the stages where the battles could take place, and in the HD remaster, they even included challenge bonuses and such. And with the latter, I feel like there was a level of unpredictability to the way the gauntlet was set up? Like, while the enemies didn't change, the arenas changed. And while probably part of that consistency was due to 0.2 being a pretty small experience, I feel like there's enough room for the concept to be expanded in KH3.

I feel like whatever kind of tournament it might be , that it needs to play into the story , just like KH I and II . And not necessarily into the main story but maybe some small stories about old or new characters . There's definitely room for expansion for the tournaments .However, I don't know if they should introduce it in Olympus Coliseum again 'cause ,well first that's old news (good news but old news) and second , Olympus Coliseum already plays a big part into the story of the game and Sora's new "adventure" .  It would be great if they brought back the Grid/Space Paranoids or if they included Wreck-It Ralph and held tournaments there .

I didn't even think about the potential of tournament-style battles being held in another Disney world. A Wreck-It-Ralph world would definitely serve as a good backdrop for that sort of thing. That is perfectly valid, though. It would definitely be preferable if the whole system was introduced organically as opposed to being something completely optional and non-integral like the Mirage Arena was. 

I truly believe that mirage Arena should return as an optional world with so many different challenges and modes to support Olympus Coliseum’s tournaments, it would be great to have different challenges in both worlds along with some other worlds like Twilight Town’s struggle event. Dividing the activities on different worlds make them more special and give more reasons for them to be visited rather than completely focusing on one world for optional challenges

A good old Olympus Coliseum with some actual crowds of NPCs cheering you on would be pretty dang cool, especially if they get really crazy later on. Though it would also be nice if it was handled in a similar vein to Mirage Arena as well, having a more extensive range of returning enemies and bosses, along with more unique bosses and challenges. Then again, I would settle for both Mirage Arena and the Coliseum being in there if it meant that online multiplayer was included. That way Mirage Arena could be the multiplayer challenge area while the Coliseum could be single player campaign challenges. I'd still like both to have unique challenges themselves but it would still be really cool to get the best of both worlds, in some form or another.

I would personally love to see tournaments return to Kingdom Hearts III in the vein of the first Kingdom Hearts. To this day, the KHI version of the tournament was the best, as there were multiple tournaments you could choose from, and you could fight secret bosses there, and I loved the tournaments in Kingdom Hearts I more because of the fact that you actually gained experience, as opposed to the tournaments in KHII, where one would gain no experience whatsoever.

 

So yeah, having tournaments in the vein of KHI's Olympus Coliseum would be grand!
