Hey there everyone, how's it going!? So then, there's something I wanted to talk to you all about, something that I thought I'd share with you all, and it's concerning a dream I had last night, a very curious dream! The minute I woke up and then proceeded to eat breakfast with my parents, I explained the dream to them, and I told a few other of my folks, and well, now, I wanna share this all with you!

 

So then, in this dream that I had last night, a very vivid and realistic dream, mind you...I saw myself holding who I assume can only be my firstborn son! Or maybe just a vision of me becoming a parent further down along the line! You see, this baby looked exactly like me when I was a baby, except that he had a slightly darker skin tone! All I know is that in the dream, I was ecstatic when I held the baby in my hands, overjoyed and happy that I was holding him! He even had as much hair as I did when I was a baby, even the sideburns! And the baby had such a beautiful, humble smile!

 

It was a very pleasant dream, and I honestly felt like I was holding the baby in my arms! The last thing I thought before waking up, the words I said were: "See you around, kiddo." And then I woke up and got all pensive from this dream...it felt so real, ya know?

 

I do have plans on becoming a father in a few years from now, so maybe this dream was a response to that desire? I'd like to believe that maybe God gave me a heads up on what gender my first born child would be, ya know? All I know is that this dream filled me with happiness! I don't know if any of you have had a dream of this sort before, but it felt so surreal! 

 

Anyway, I just wanted to share this with you all! Rest assured, when I do get around to having kids, I'll inform you all, since this site is a dear part of my life, after all!

Aww, that sounds like a really nice dream. Half the time I can't remember my dreams when I wake up so I'm happy you were able to remember such a sweet dream.  :smile:

Thanks! Yeah, it was a really nice and heartwarming dream, and I woke up with a smile on my face, ya know? Ooh, then you are just like my Mom. She rarely has good dreams, and that's something that makes me sad, cuz people deserve to have good dreams, ya know?

Thanks! Yeah, I was pretty surprised myself that I remembered the details of this dream of mine, and they were very vividly portrayed and everything! That dream left me thinking about the future when it comes to me having children, ya know? It got me all pensive like, but in a good way!

That's really interesting. I've had very vivid dreams before, but they usually aren't that realistic. I believe we can receive signs in dreams so it could be a premonition of sorts. Especially since you plan to have children. I've known people who have seen glimpses of things in their dreams and only realize later after the event happens that they had seen the same event in a dream.

And yeah, I do plan to have children! I too, am one that believes that dreams can sometimes be signs of things to come, or simply a sign of good or bad fortune to come to one's life and all that! In my mind, I think this is God's way of saying: "Well kid, your firstborn is gonna be a son!" That's how I interpret it at least! Either way, I'm really happy that I had the dream! God blessed me with such a nice dream, ya know?

I am lucky if I ever get to have dreams.  I stay up all night and pretty much place my dreams at the back of my mind.  The ones that I do remember, I obsess over.

Oh, plenty of types. It was half and half when I was a kid (as in nightmares vs awesome/positive dreams), but it's mostly weird nonsense. But sometimes I'm aware enough to where I can control things. I can usually get myself to fly and sometimes change my appearance with success. I've also been both genders in my dreams and turned into animals. It can get pretty crazy. There can be a mix of both fictional characters and real life characters.

 

Was quite proud that I saw characters from the Kingdom Hearts series and Marvel films. I have to be really into something to see any form of it in my dreams usually.

 

If there's a problem going on in my life, or something heavily weighing me, I'll see a person from my life or a scenario that I can pick out from the randomness relating to that. So I think our brains try to find a way to work out whatever we're worried about as we fall asleep. But your dream sounds very wonderful and poignant to your desires, especially if you feel such a strong contrast with the dreams you normally have. Who knows what the future holds, but all things considered, it's definitely positive.

Ooh, I remember that one time, I think it was when I was either 10 or 12, possibly a bit older, I dreamed about Spider-Man! He's my favorite Marvel superhero, and pretty much my favorite superhero of all time, so having dreamed about him got me in a fanboy frenzy! X3

Sometimes they are incomprehensible mumbo jumbo, but sometimes, like you stated, our mind tries to subconsciously comfort and soothe us whenever we're faced with problems we can't find the answer to. It also extends to dreaming about deceased loved ones because one misses them or one dreams of happy thing that are to come!

 

But yes, the dream I had is one I now hold close to my heart, as I felt lifted with that dream, as though it was a positive sign in my life! I'll definitely take it as a positive!

Dreams are an interested thing.  You are always dreaming when you are asleep, but you don't recall that you were actually dreaming.

Yeah, that's another curious thing about dreams! Sometimes one has really intense dreams or nightmares, but when one awakes, only small details are what's remembered! It's crazy!
